    I just wanted to say your policy around not offering samples on skincare products makes no sense. I saw a bunch of people sticking their fingers in the jar to sample it, instead of an associate using the disposable plastic thing to put it in a disposable container. Not sure how that prevents COVID. I ended up buying the cream elsewhere where I was able to get a sample first. So stupid.

    I went in there as I heard they train their staff professionally to assist you with any makeup needs. As someone with minimal makeup experience, I needed some advice. I was treated by multiple staff with sass and was given the wrong shade of foundation for my skin. The overall experience could have been better.

    There products are better than the staff. If you want high quality make up/beauty/hair care products, this is the place to shop. BUT. IF YOU DONT LOOK LIKE YOU BELONG THERE, DO NOT EXPECT TO BE TREATED EQUALLY. I'm not going around, looking like raggity Anne, but I also dont look like I have a beauty filter on constantly. I went In there for 1 product you cant buy at any other store: Colorwow Raise the Root. It as during a slow time. There were double the employees than customers. And NO ONE approaches me. When I started walking toward a staff, she purposely acted as if she didnt see me walking her way and she skedaddled. So I try another woman and SAME THING , except I made sure to catch up to her because I'm not wasting my time hunting around for a staff member to help me find ONE PRODUCT I ALREADY KNOW I WANT, BUT NEED TO FIND. There customer service is APPALLING. so if you dont look like you're a person who spends hundreds on looking your absolute best everyday, do not expect good customer service from them.

    After stepping foot inside this store I was asked by two separate employees (pretty much immediately) if I needed help. I understand it’s their job to ask customers if they need assistance, as many people do. But it was overwhelming. And they were not too friendly. When I said that I did not need any help and was doing okay .. they just seemed to grow more suspicious of me? In fact, I kept seeing one employee everywhere I went and it was very distressing. I also understand it’s their job to prevent theft, but I don’t think anything about me simply looking around is suspicious. I even had bags with me from other stores in the mall! I just wanted to come in, take my time, and look around at the products: as I haven’t been into a Sephora since before the pandemic. I probably would have bought a lot more than just one item if I didn’t feel pressured to leave. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an experience like this, a couple of years ago this one specific employee asked me 3 times within the span of 5 minutes if I needed help. I also noticed that I seem to be treated better the more makeup that I have on. I was hoping things have changed but 🤷‍♀️

    I do not want to put any stare because they have bad service with the customer. Actually, today I had appointment with them for full makeup cuz I have an important event, and they canceled just before four hours ago. And you know I can not get another appointment in another place cuz no enough time. And what was the reason for cancelled , the artist is sick, I think you should have more than one artist because it's not ok to give this reason. I am always your customer but after today no more.

    So Helpful they was and Friendly , Iwish they had a cheeper Lipstick , suggestion’s to. the Rose ‘n’ Rose’s 🌹 Miss Dori Sample they Gave Me Made Me want to go and Buy it now. I am sure if i brought the old Man i help take care of they would be Nice to him, unLike the other store was. P.S. the time they was Mean to him he was paying for all the stiff and Make over. He has dementia and basically kick him out of store i could of Lost him. Thank-You so Much for being nice to the Elderly.

    Selection is great, but they spray the store with very strong cologne/perfume scents. Not safe for people with asthma or other sensitivities

    High-quality make-up staff but mostly very expensive compared to other make-up shops. In general, it is recommended to go there to buy high quality of make-up staff of the price not important for you.

    Came here with my partner last week to buy her first foundation and concealer. Alisha did a perfect colour match and gave great advice. She was very patient with all of our questions and we are thrilled with everything we purchased. Only suggestion would be for the store to get more even lighting so it's easier to see true colours.

    Have heard lots of good things about how knowledgeable the staff is. Was excited to go and get some help picking out makeup and skin products for problem skin eczema, rosacea, and sensitive skin. But I was unable to stay in the store due to the smell. Staff were spaying different sents all around the store, and it set off my headache after 3 mins in the store.

    My daughter and I were shopping at Sephora in the Halifax Shopping Centre today and an employee (a mature woman, slender build, dark hair) stood up against a wall, arms folded staring at us. We said excuse me when passing by and she was non-responsive. Shortly after she approached us and stood within arm’s length, making us feel uncomfortable as if she suspected we might shoplift. She was extremely invasive and made us feel both intimidated and unwelcome. My adult daughters and I have been shopping at Sephora for several years and we are loyal customers. Generally speaking , the employees are helpful, respectful and friendly. Today’s experience felt like harassment, as if we were being singled out for no reason. As a result, we put the items we were going to purchase back on the shelves and walked out. Perhaps additional training in customer service and professional communication would be beneficial for this individual. We will not be returning to this particular store.

    This time I was in the MicMac Mall Dartmouth store. If you want to find the store quickly, enter the mall doors by Old Navy. When you get to the end of the hall you can see their sign on the right. Again the staff are well trained and make you feel at home. They also.offer services, half hour one hour and 90 minutes. They have make up artists who will apply your make up and teach you to apply it your self. Might be a nice treat for your birthday.

    The customer care on the floor was great. However, I was not impressed with the lack of attention received at cash. The female working the register was waiting on a customer ahead of me and gave her all the information about a loyalty program etc but when I got to the register I was just told how much I owed.

    I went there few week ago. First no one notice me in store. Then i went to cash counter and said to help me in choosing foundation shade. She asked me to wait. I was waiting, she was talking over phone after that she chatted to other staff and she handled another customers. Again i went unnoticed finally left the store. I got it from MAC then.

    Not a bad experience. Not sure if I would have recommended a customer with early aging concerns the moisturizers I was recommended. I advise doing homework/research before hand if you decide to ask for help, as I find the help biased at times depending on what they are asked to sell/promote and skincare that they either use or know more about.
