I stayed at site 16 for just under a week and thoroughly enjoyed it! The water and electrical service was convenient, as well as location in proximity to the day use area/beach. Loop A is a bit far from the washrooms/showers/dish washing area (it’s almost a 1km walk following the campsite roads). The views are spectacular and it’s a must see place at both low and high tide! Low tide is wonderful to walk far out, but high tide is nice for swimming on a hot day too.

It was a lot of fun exploring Five Islands Provincial Park. If you’re just there for the day, as you’re driving in, keep going beyond where the little cabin in to the sign pointing to the day use area. At the end of it, you’ll come across a parking lot with a washroom nearby. I do not recommend using the washroom as a person with lady parts as it was downright disgusting since it only gets cleaned once daily or when a worker is there during the off season. I went as the tide was receding and it was such an experience walking down the beach where the water previously was only a couple of hours before. You can walk pretty far down the beach, but beware of tide times as you can be left stranded. There is a lot to explore and places to take scenic photos. Very peaceful location with every visitor group having their own personal space. Some tips: - Be sure to check the tide schedule before visiting as it’ll be a different view depending on how high the tide is. - Bring water shoes so that your day shoes doesn’t get super muddy.

Stunning! I had come to the area to chase a few waterfalls, but this park has so much beauty all its own! It was, however, not as clean as some other Provincial parks I've been to. My advice; check there is toilet paper before you sit down...

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Is only the first thing to say about this Natural beauty. This Campground on just the drive in relaxes you. With it's perfect paved road with woods on either side. Leading you right to the office, I swear I was in a different province for a moment, or possibly a different country. The views from each campsite in the park are spectacular. Have your pick! Wooded ✔ open ✔ Thank you to Diane at the Office Check-in for all of your help. Because it was slow last evening I practically had the whole place to myself. Which I highly suggest. Diane said to simply have a peek around the park and to go pick a site I loved if I didn't want to keep mine and she'd switch me. So I did! I really appreciated that 'Homey' family feel. Thank you Carol for our wonderful chat and the extra firewood. And for speaking with me about all of your favorite campsites on the phone because you were able to that morning. You were right! #82 is beautiful!! If you're a hiker, go here. The Redhead trail is a hikers dream with views to match. With the beach nearby this park really has everything to offer. And deserves every star I gave. I will certainly be back, and most likely sooner than I planned!

We love this park. Did you know that is has some of the most interesting geology in the province? Take a walk along the beach at low tide and make your way east. Some really fantastic, and geologically unique features here. Worth checking out. I cycled the trails around the campground and enjoyed the views from the camp site. The park is high up on a hill, so the views from practically everywhere are fantastic. Staff is great too, and good firewood, which for me is a make or break item.

Really loved the staggered feel of the terrain. Felt as though I was part of a hillside community. Had a lovely walk out in the Bay during low tide, exploring all the ocean wildlife left behind in the shallow pools of water. The next day we were lucky enough to have yet another beautiful, sunny day as we reached the lookoff (which wasn't marked at all) and peered down at the Bay we had explored the day prior. So wonderful to have experienced both perspectives. Absolutely some of my favourite scenery.

Wow. This park is great. Our site has power and water hookup. A short walk to the water. The views and vistas are incredible and the sites are very private. We would definitely love to come back again

Nice little provincial park. Not a ton of things to do, but the main area is worth a stop. Clamming at low tide behind the provincial park campground is fun. We couldn’t find much, and it was prettt messy, but it was fun. Some of the facilities (change rooms, washrooms) were closed, though, which was a bit disappointing.

Very nice provincial campground. Majority of the sites are very large and have amazing views of the rolling coastal hills and cliffs on the bay of fundy. The main road leading into the park is paved making for easy access of any kind of vehicle. Only downside is showers/restrooms are an uphill hike for majority of the sites in loop A. Will be returning to this place again as we loved it!

The campsites are really nice here. It is mostly for people with trailers, but there are a handful of campsites for people with tents. Most sites are wide open with little to no tree cover, but you are on grass, which is a plus. The major attraction here is the tides and the fact that you can walk out during low tide and explore the ocean floor. The sunsets are quite nice there too. The people there were super nice and we were even offered free fire wood and even lawn chairs since they saw that we didn't have any. The only downside is the bathrooms. We here there for camping 20 years ago and stuff hasn't changed much since then, so they are due for major bathroom renovations. There's only 2 showers available on the whole site and to make things worse, they are open only during certain periods of the day because of an issue with water provisioning. Outside of that time, you have to use the outhouses, which is scary and you can smell them from quite a distance. If they can improve on the bathroom facilities, this would be an amazing place.

Great little provincial park. If you plan on hiking, there are a couple of short trails. Most can easily be done in an hour or less by experienced hikers. I recommend taking the red head trail to the lookout. The economy trail has bigger grades than the red head trail (for the most part), but is still pretty accessible. Just a warning, part of the economy trail is not on Google maps, and can be disorienting if you are navigating with your phone.

Beautiful park, very well kept. The spacing between the sites is generous and our site was level enough to sleep comfortably in a tent. The only thing I did not understand is how operating the showers from 09:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 21:00 is saving much water, as is claimed by the administration.

The bathrooms with showers could've been better kept, there was no paper even after they closed it for an hour for "daily maintenance" and nothing had been cleaned. Otherwise was a great site, gorgeous views with good campsites & firepits. We got to see some eagles during our evening walk!

We had a great time spending the night in the Five Islands campground. The sunrises and sunsets are STUNNING! The campground is really well maintained and is a short walk to the beach. Our kids didn't want to leave !

I was expecting the trailer sites to have some trees but it was just an open field. The signage was not very clear to get to the beach. The grass needed to be mowed. We had a nice walk while tide was out. Other than that it was just ok.

We tented here and it was a beautiful site with lots of privacy and a great fire pit, wood was great to burn and a good price for wood and the site! Good helpful staff. Only thing was the bathroom showers weren’t very clean but you can’t help the mess that others leave so won’t dub the rating for that! Will 100% be back, loved the views and the beach! Awesome little area!

Beautiful scenery and beach. The park itself is large with tons of camping. The site you choose makes a big difference. We liked sites 25-30 on the water side. The pull thru sites had no views really. Just water and electric. Dump station on site although somewhat difficult to use for larger rigs to get in and out.

Beautiful scenery. Went there during low tide and the beach was very muddy. Not sandy. Muddy and rocky. They have outhouses, changing areas and day tours are free!

Quite a bit of mosquitoes at the time we went (Late August), but the campsites are nice and spacious for 6 pax. The view is really nice, and there are clean bathrooms/showers. Would definitely recommend!

Our favourite place in Nova Scotia. I camp here every summer and it is well maintained, the view is breathtaking and I will never be tired of watching the tides.
