We are new to the hobby and feel lucky have found the best aquarium. Staff were very patient with our questions. I have a guppy that has a shimmying problem after a week in my new tank, turns out nitrite is too high, we are trying everything to bring it to 0, as David suggested, hopefully he’ll be better soon.

This store has the kindest, most polite, and most informed staff I have ever met. I am there often, and NOT ONCE has a staff member (1) not helped me, (2) been rude/apathetic, or (3) given me poor advice. They are beyond educated, and give their opinions based on the best interest of the fish, which is what is most important! Their prices are wonderful, and their fish seem to be well cared for and treated according to their individual needs. In the case that a fish is unfit to go to a home, the staff are honest and don't sell them just for the money. They care about the fish in their store, as well as those of the customers. It is a lovely environment with a great, upbeat energy. Hands down the best fish/aquarium supply store! This store has all my support and I wish the best to its future and its staff members!

Could not recommend this place more!! Just getting back into the hobby after many, manyyyy years out of it, and have been into Aquarica 3 or 4 times now over the last couple of weeks. Every single time I go in here, it's been an amazing experience. No matter how busy they are, whether there's lots of customers or they're busy doing maintenance, the person helping me has ALWAYS taken the time to answer all of my (many lol) questions and offer (much needed) advice and help with my setup & the types of fish I want to put in it. I've never once felt rushed, or that my newbie questions were a chore or a bore. Everyone working here is excited to talk about fish and share their experience/knowledge...which is precisely what I'm looking for when getting into a hobby that *I'M* excited about starting! The pic is of the 2 tiny neon blue Gobies I got a few days ago. They were the last 2 (and trust me, they are much, MUCH tinier than they look in my pics!) in a large tank with a million hiding places, and they eluded capture for quite a long time. The guy helping me never gave up or got annoyed...and we didn't even know if there were 2 in there, so he could've easily just said after capturing the one that we did know was in there, that it was the last, and it would have ended there. But he searched and searched (while I was off looking at other fish), and scanned through the dozens of Amano and Wood shrimp also scurrying around on the bottom, until he finally found me the true last little Goby in that tank. And now I have the tiny pair in my tank, doin' their Goby thing & being adorable lol. Thanks, Aquarica!!

Extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff who genuinely love the hobby and are happy to share their advice and experience with everyone who walks in the door. Great selection of healthy fish and plants, plus all the aquarium supplies needed to maintain them. Just an all-round pleasant shop to visit. Would love to see them in a bigger retail space some day, but they do a great job working within the footprint they currently have.

You know they are the best in town when all other fish store owners tells you to go see Paul at Aquarica. Now I'm not sure which one of them is Paul yet but they are all extremely helpful and know what they are doing.

Clean good looking aquariums well fed fish, hardly ever a dead fish. Very nice and helpful staff! I would reccomend this store. Also there is lots of fish medications and decor for aquariums!

Every time I have visited the store, the staff has been incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They have always taken the time to answer questions, even when they are busy. This is by far, my favourite aquarium store!

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They also care dearly for their fish and so they don't just try to make a buck, they make sure you know how to care for your new interest before encouraging any kind of sale. While a small and cramped store, it is clean and tidy with a pretty fair selection of supplies given the size of the store. A nice and healthy supply of fish and plants. Slightly pricier than Pet Smart but you're also paying for better quality and better knowledge. Silly monday hours though.....(sometimes monday)

Great knowledgeable people and explained how to start a new tank for us. Have been going here a few months now and wouldn't be the fishtank guy I am without their help. Awesome store

I started going to Aquarica over two years ago when I decided to get an aquarium and start a community tank. I really can't say enough positive things about Paul (one of the owners). He is very knowledgeable, and helpful for starters. He really puts his customers first and takes the time to get to know the customer to make sure you get the best possible options for your situation. Honestly, if you keep fish and live in HRM you need to visit Aquarica. He has a wide selection of fresh and salt water fish, accessories and many other things that are needed. Both him and his staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable. I would give him 10 stars if I could. A sincere thank you to you and your staff for all the help and support you have given me over the past couple of years. It has always been greatly appreciated.

I always receive great service, no issues with livestock that I've purchased, and I feel like the staff actually know and care about the fish. I would absolutely recommend checking them out for anything you need!

It's a bit small and cramped for me but they have everything a hobbies should need and can get what serious aquatic people need. Tanks are always clean and fish looking better than most places.

Paul and his staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and their prices and communication are top notch! In fact most products you won’t find cheaper locally and even on line.. I have never had health issues with any of the 40+ fish purchased in the past year, Paul has always offered solutions for changing up my stock or adding to my tank, their plants are always huge, and the selection of fish assures you’ll find something you like. I’ve never left empty handed. Their competitors are great too, But aquarica is absolutely my one stop shop for everything fish related..good customer service is becoming so rare, aquarica is a refreshing reminder of how a local business should be ran, and how customers should be treated

Personally my new favorite store just went in for the first time tonight and had a wonderful talk with Paul definitely recommended this store for anyone in the hobby or looking to get into the hobby as the owner and Staff of the store share a large amount of knowledge about the hobby

We went there to get our first fish tank and the employees were really nice and helped us with everything we needed. We recently went there for live plants. We had alot of questions and they answered all of them. This is a great store if you are staying a fish tank or wanting a fish. We will be going back.
