I'm a lifetime Marriott titanium elite and I have stated other Fairfield inns when I need a quick night at the last minute. I've paid anywhere from $99- $123 for a Fairfield inn. This one was $191 before tax and it was not worth it. The rooms were old and dingy, the walls thin enough to hear my neighbor sneezing all night, and the ceiling above so thin I could hear people walking that was a thud, thud, thud. Just a poorly built hotel. Free breakfast buffet is what you would expect at a Fairfield inn. Packaged muffins, some bananas, pre-made powdered eggs, and oatmeal. Nothing special but should satisfy the money conscious traveler. Overall I was disappointed in this particular location. I was limited by my last minute reservation in the location I needed to stay in to get off the road. Otherwise, I would have searched for a Courtyard or full-blown Marriott that I typically stay at. I will say the staff was very pleasant checking me in as well as checking me out.

I am so upset! I missed the survey. The team was phenomenal! In fact, I just finished a thank you note to them because they went above and beyond for me. It was a long stay during a difficult time. The food was LITERALLY the best hotel meal I've had. His planning for the varied interests of guests, and the variety for different food allergies/sensitivities was great. The front desk was flexible and accommodating given my weird ICU watch. The hotel was always clean, and the team graciously left me updated linens when needed (I was sleeping on weird schedules). The space was comfortable, with an area to work and relax while I was there for 14 days. I just can't say enough!!

A little pricey for my taste, but we were exhausted from traveling. Beautiful, large rooms, excellent t.v. channels, etc. Hotel staff was nice. Other guests made it a very bad night however. Bumping, banging, talking loud in the hallways late at night & throughout the night.

Overall, it was a nice stay BUT! First of all, do not expect to get any work done here as the wifi is NON-EXISTENT. I was frustrated that the wifi connection was so weak, my internet would not load. Second, like some of the other comments had mentioned, the walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from the rooms around you. The check in staff was not particularly eager to help. As a Platinum member, I do not expect to be greeted like a king or anything like that but don't put me on the lowest floor NEXT TO AN ELEVATOR. I had to ask them to move me once I found out where my room was located. Decent hotel but I would not stay here again.

Gainesville needs some new hotel options. This one has been under renovation, so hopefully it will improve. In the meantime it's a little rough. Looks nice from the outside, but it's in poor condition inside. They do have amazingly friendly young ladies working the front desk though.

Do not stay at this hotel if you are looking for a nice, clean, quiet and pleasant stay. The rooms are in need of much cleaning and upgrades. I was advised by a deceptive check-in clerk that the "hallways are under renovation, but the rooms are perfect". Complete lie, the rooms apparently were under "renovation" too because in both of our rooms visible stains were on the toilet seat, around and on the bottom of toilet. The mirrors, doors and walls had multiple visible stains. You can hear walking, talking and noise above and beside your room at all times of the day/night. It was raining the entire weekend and there was a leak and the bright hotel staff used at least 5 or more small garbage cans at the entry of the hotel to catch the water, with one wet floor sign. Completely dangerous and the hotel staff did not care or attempt to make better or safer accommodation for guest entering hotel. And the same for the accommodation of the rooms. Do not stay at this location there are better and more affordable hotels in the area.

We stayed at this hotel while traveling for a medical procedure. The hotel IS under construction and the room we had definitively needed some help. There were blatant water stains on the ceiling, peeling wall pieces, and a gapping shower head. The bathroom had cracked tiles and mold. The hallways are very dirty with debris from construction. I can understand that the property is under construction, but the negligence in cleanliness is very clear. There were also individuals loitering in the parking lot at all hours (2 am), which the front desk wasn’t concerned about. It made our late night arrival feel rather unsafe. The staff was very friendly and helpful overall. The breakfast is good, but they close it right on the dot so if you head down too late, there is a good chance you won’t eat. The yogurt case was also locked up before normal closing, which was kind of odd. Overall, the staff were nice enough, but the hotel needs help. Looking at other reviews, this issue/construction has been a long occurrence. I hope the Marriott brand steps up to help, because this property has a lot to offer if these issues are fixed.
