Every third Sunday they have some event for everyone there. I went with my children and we decorated banners for dia de los muertos. It is a tradition for Mexicans to decorate grave sites with colorful and beautiful decorations to honor the dead, so that is what we did that Sunday. Very cool place, I heard it used to be a house. My children and I enjoyed it.

Charles was a gracious host who explained the exhibit in detail. Admission is $7 but for tourists it is free but a financial gift is appreciated that goes towards educational material etc

I visited the Art & Culture Center while in the Hollywood, FL area and I have to say...WOW!!! Beautiful, thought-provoking, and so inspiring! They had an exhibit displaying artwork from local artists, and the guide provided a history of the center. It didn't stop there, as I was shown all that the center had to offer, from livestream art classes for schools that can't afford their own art classes to short films made in their own theater space down the street, etc. Every detail, art piece, and resource that they provide is not only beautiful, but you feel their drive for inclusion and positive impacts in the art world. I'm very grateful that I found this place and got a chance to see it! I will absolutely return the next time I'm in the area!!! 5/5

This particular art exhibit can be considered (for me) quote local in nature. It displays a limited selection of local artists (considered interpretive art) and students (quite colorful). The building, actually an old house with some history, is somewhat small so the exhibit is as well. This art Center provides a platform for teaching young students art classes via zoom (online) learning. It does charge a small nominal fee. There is adequate parking for a small crowd.

It was such a great place to visit! They had multiple mediums of art and different exhibits to enjoy, and we also loved seeing the kids' art upstairs as well as learning the history of the building. Charles was very helpful and full of information. We will definitely visit again and cannot wait for the extension to the building.

The exhibits on display change from time to time. Fun quaint boutique museum to take the family to. They also do free admission every third Sunday of the month. Close to local eateries and other shops. this is a fun time out if you're looking to have a brief but yet interesting adventure with your family.

It was totally worth to visit the center during my trip to Hollywood, FL. The staff, Charles, was friendly and helpful throughout the tour of the exhibition. Charles offered me to watch one of the short films at the end of the tour and it was awesome. Highly recommended!

Found this gem by chance and feel so fortunate. We were greeted at the door, took a tour of the recent exhibits and were given a guided tour upstairs. Impressed with the community outreach to schools that are now without art programs. The center provides materials and online interactive classes to children. Most impressive are the films the center produces featuring LGBTQ stories from teens and adults. We watched Queer Allies and it is an amazing film. This center is a must-visit!

beautiful historic building, staff is very kind and the exhibits are surprisingly spacious, and well curated. handicap parking and ramp are available as well as an elevator in the back. safe area with lots of schools around and some places to get snacks, no food or drinks are provided inside (makes sense since its an art gallery)

I was visiting the beach and decided that I wanted to hit at least one art gallery while I was there. I made an excellent decision because this was a wonderful center; Charles was a knowledgeable host and not only was the art beautiful and diverse, but they had lovely short films available to watch.

it is a gorgeous gallery that offered multiple multi-medium exhibits, short films, and local art by young (school-aged) talent. the staff was super personable, hospitable and informative. it is art with a purpose and worth visiting if you're in the south florida/ broward county area.

We enjoyed our visit of the current exhibits, both professional artists and budding high students. Charles was very informative on what to check out and the history of the center and its future planning. We also appreciated what to see on a self walking tour.

I’ve recently started looking into art centers in my travels and was happy to find this quaint center. And conveniently across the way from the art park (i think that’s what it’s called). The person to greet us was kind, pleasant and knowledgeable. He was also happy to engage with us and allowed us to ask questions. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

A lovely place to support the Art community. It was great to see so many students' artwork displayed and so many programs available. This is a great space for anyone to share a passion of art, acting, or any related field. I definitely recommend taking any class or attending an event. It's a great time and shows support for our community.

Yes, art is here. Resides in a 1925 mansion owned by one of the founders of Hollywood Florida. Many paintings and most other media displaying fine pieces from the minds of varied local and not local artists. Stumbled in on a painting group and was invited. My effort is shown here. It says "Kaleidoscope". As you can see my art ability is why I chose music. That's what it says. Very friendly, vibrant people and staff. An enjoyable experience. Free admission every third Sunday from 12-4pm.

What an amazing hidden treasure here in Hollywood. Stumbled upon this place today and was really happy to have found it. The folks that work here are really passionate and knowledgeable. We visited the exhibits and then viewed two incredible short films and the producer happened to be on site and spent a good amount of time discussing the films. Looking forward to the proposed expansion and continued visits. The gentleman that showed us around was friendly and offered great suggestion for other things to see.

I was so giddy to write this post, I had to open my laptop in order to have full keyboard range. I want to start with the physical location. I adore the building structure; it's intimate and charming. I feel art often gets misinterpreted as a pretentious, austere or superficial which is a far cry from it's actual purpose: which is to connect the masses (or at the very least, get the masses thinking) especially in regards to current events and politics. Take the Dada movement for instance, it began in 1916 in a nightclub; not some tall, formal building. My previous reference isn't to take away from the efforts of other museums, but Hollywood's Art and Culture Center is very reminiscent of the origins of art. Added bonus, if you're a fan of areas like Savannah, Ga, it has a cool Eckburg hall vibe to it. A true gem that deserves more recognition. Onto the other amazing part of my visit, the team. The team that has curated this space (and I'm not just referring to the art, I'm referring to the hospitality, the personable interactions and the overall knowledgeable yet kind approach). To say I'm pleased is an understatement. I had the pleasure of watching two short open dialogue docuseries (one focused on Black American experience in America, the other on LGBTQ). The dialogues were so refreshingly vulnerable and honest; sincere without added jarring shockjock value. I had the honor of speaking with Jeff Rusnack, one of the directors behind the films, and he is such an insightful, passionate and enthusiastic leader. I look forward to returning time and time again. If you need a reason to get out of the house, go immediately. If you're visiting from out of town, do NOT neglect this opportunity. If you're a growing artist, and the commercial mainstream parts of Miami don't quite speak to you, I guarantee you will find your footing here. Come be inspired, come get to know art for what art truly is: a conversation to connect and relate. All in the most darling location. I look forward to more visits.

I just loved it! The place is beautiful inside and outside. I was entertained by amazing art pieces, by movies, and a very welcoming personal. Besides that, the Art and Culture Center performs an important social hole for the community. They keep art alive and have interesting educational projects and activities for both children and adults! Definitely will visit again!
