What a fantastic bar and restaurant! We came be boat, but Wahoo’s is just around the corner from the airport. Wahoo’s is well lit, open and the atmosphere is very friendly between guests and staff. We all had the delicious Wahoo platers and met new friends including the owner, Geza who was warm, gracious, and entertaining to talk with. He went over the top to made us feel welcome. What a great experience. This is on the “must visit” list when visiting!

Great patio overlooking the water. Super friendly staff and good eats. Had Octopus stew - robust, hearty, and flavorful. Also had conch fritterrs, which were good, standard fare, but not special.

Quite the popular lunch spot in St Georges. There was a line to get in, but it moved quickly and we were lucky enough to get a table outside by the water. The fish tacos were tasty and enormous. I really liked the tortillas- crunchy but pliable. And the fish sandwich served on cinnamon raisin toast seemed odd but was really good. Try going right before the lunch rush or after for a good seat.

Loved it loved it loved it! We just dropped in for a look-see and to check the menu. But everyone was so friendly and welcoming, we stayed for lunch. Glad we did. The food is excellent. Really great variety on the menu. Decor just plain simple and beautiful. Nice open air cooled by ceiling fans. Staff very friendly. Felt very local to us. I think we might have been the only locals there. Bottom line, we would take the time and effort of the ferry just to go to this restaurant. Nice jobs, folks!

We had a tasty lunch here whilst in the area, sharing wings and then the Baha style Wahoo tacos, which were great. Staff lovely throughout the visit. Recommended if in St George’s.

If you're after Bermuda cuisine, then Wahoos is a popular venue for both visitors and locals. This small restaurant offers excellent service and well cooked food. There are no surprises on the menu but the fish is perfectly cooked and delicious. Popular dishes include their wahoo tacos and fresh tuna steaks. There is indoor or outdoor (under a canopy) seating. The restaurant is on the water, child friendly, and children (and adults) love feeding the fish from the terrace. Parking is in one of the many free carparks in the town centre.

Hands-down the best restaurant in St. George’s. Prices are a little expensive, but that’s everywhere in Bermuda – and this place doesn’t short you on quality. They have a specials menu with all the island’s local fish (red hind, wahoo, etc.) that I’d recommend ordering from if it’s your first time. It was so good we had to come back a second day to try another option. Both were *chef’s kiss*. They have the friendliest staff who are all super welcoming and insightful about what to do in town if you’re visiting. Blake, one of the waitresses, was a sweetheart who made us feel right at home. Overall, cannot say enough good things about this place. Absolutely try this place out if you’re hungry in St. George’s.

AMAZING! The food was unbelievable ! Location was great and scenery was everything you could want for an Island lunch! Fish sandwich on raisin bread and a trilogy of wahoo, rockfish and mahimahi . I'd fly here from the states just for dinner!!

A popular restaurant to eat in St. George. Line up gets long during peak hours. Food was mediocre and nothing exceptional. I was looking forward to trying the famous Bermuda fish sandwich but was disappointed by the taste. Did not live up to my expectations. Don't think I'll go back here again.

Unlike Woody's, this place is open when advertised. Fish sandwich and conch fritters are incredible, worth the ferry ride. Service is excellent, price is good!

we were here a week ago (4/20/22) and walked past the place and thought this might be a good place to eat. The open air atmosphere was nice and mellow and the service was very attentive. The fish served there was very fresh as I had the fish sandwich. One thing all should try there is the Fish Chowder, which I waited 10 years since my last visit to have. Its so tasty and well balanced and piping hot when its served to you. This is a local staple that all should try along with any of there fish dishes.

I like this place. Lovely spot in an otherwise dead town. SG is beautiful, but not much of a bar scene. And when you do find one, it's usually rather subdued. If you feel like having a drink somewhere where theres a bit of life in the room, this is your place in SG. Food is also phenomenal. Try the wahoo ceviche. You're welcome

Been coming to this restaurant a long time. It’s literally one of my favorites on island. Most birthdays in the family have been spent here. In all the times I’ve been there, probably made 3 reservations with larger parties. But have never had to otherwise and always been accommodated as a walk in. 2-3 people. ( I was booking this one, as I didn’t want to just show up because although they allow walk-ins you’re made to feel like a burden at times) This past week from Thursday morning to Saturday I made over 12 attempts at various times through out this period to make a booking for my mother’s birthday and not one call back or voicemail returned. I reverted to email just after 7:00 and someone 12 hours later replied they have no bookings for the date I had in mind. Not ONE. A whole day and no one can accommodate me ?! I feel I know who the respondent was because she’s short / blunt with patrons in person as well. After querying this NO OPEN RESERVATIONS apprx. three days before intended date, she responds and says she has day time bookings or even the day before (as per my request for alternative date options). Finally after getting some feedback on open spots. Said I’d respond with a time in due course. I reply later yesterday afternoon (THEY WERE OPEN) after further calls to establishment go unanswered. (I should have taken that as a sign). And many hours later, the next morning i follow up to see if anyone got my message with request. They finally respond and say they don’t have anything available and cannot accommodate me. Their excuse is they’re busy this time of year, and cannot answer all calls. Offering for me to try them another day. Well I won’t be back anytime soon. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Now on the finding a new venue for lunch. This should be fun. Don’t feel like they wanted to take the booking to begin with. If im being honest.

Everyone said, "go to Wahoo's". My friends, taxi drivers, everyone. We had high hopes. We arrived 2 PM on a Friday. It was quite busy so we left and came back later to a less busy atmosphere.Service was friendly. The host allowed us to move to a seaside table. He was great. Our server was so sweet and apologetic for the wait but it turned into a very slow and later, inefficient experience. Others who came after us were served faster. Our food sat on the counter for about 15 minutes. I almost got it myself. I noticed it when I went to the rest room. The fish was tough. Rice and peas were good but small portions. The rum punches were great and oh, the views. Totally lovely.

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. $18 for 6 tiny shrimp. $17 for 6 tiny conch fritters. $9 for 5 tiny (frozen) mozzarella sticks with cocktail sauce. These portions don’t feed a child let alone an adult. We all left hungry. We felt the food was either all burnt or undercooked (ordered a burger medium and got rare/almost blue). Food took forever to come and we spent more than half of our time in St. George waiting on the food here. Lunch for 4 was $130+. Skip and find elsewhere.

A well known place in St. George's, a little hard to find, if not familiar with the town. Great waterside setting, sat outside on the deck (inside seemed more like a pub). Service was very good and the fish sandwich on raison bread was excellent. Large portions, so sharing is possible.

  • 3/5 Courtney S. 1 year ago on Google
Not good not bad. Just okay. The views are beautiful, but the table was sticky and the food was nothing special. Our waitress was so sweet, but she wasn't very attentive. I would say it is a fine place to go, but I would not say you HAVE to eat here while in the area.

Always worth a drive up to St George’s for a meal here if you’re on the island. We always go for catch of the day and have never been disappointed. Fresh and delicious!

The service was fantastic! They have a lot of class there. The bacon scallops were lovely. Order the ceviche. The spinach salad delicious. All the dishes we had there were spectacular. The prices are high like the rest of Bermuda though

I ordered the prickly pear martini, baha style wahoo taco and Cajun shrimp over arugula and tomato salad. Service, drinks and food was really good but expensive.

We went to Wahoo's while on a bus tour. When my friend and I walked in, there was only two other customers (same table). I told him we were on a tour so in a bit of a hurry and could they accommodate us. I told him we only had 25 minutes. He said, 'yes, yes come on in.' Well 15 minutes later we still hadn't received our order (we ordered a chicken club and mozzarella sticks); I asked the waitress and she said it would be right out. 5 more minutes and here she comes. She had to choke down the food to make the bus. $40 for this order. A bit much. Not happy that they couldn't accommodate as they said they could.

What a way to spend New Year's Eve!!! Fabulous dinner and bringing in the new year with the locals. The Rum Swizzle was way too delicious and went down smoothly. Never have I ever had a larger lobster that was so tender. @ Wahoo's Bistro & Patio, St. George's, Bermuda

Oh, tasty fish tacos or octopus stew...! My kids favorite bistro in St. George's and favorite fish sandwich. I believe that menu changes during the season. Super friendly stuff, good location with open patio on the water side (with always hungry fish :-). Good selection of drinks. Nice place to relax after sight seeing the town.
