One of the very best restaurants overlooking front street (tip if you are visiting on Harbor Night book in advance). We had lunch today in a day celebrating our 43 rd anniversary. Sat inside as it was a day if storms . We had the cast iron shrimp for appetizer which was great and my wife enjoyed the burger made the way she likes it while I enjoyed the chicken burger. Hostess great and Marius was friendly and efficient . By the time we left the restaurant was full. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for a drink with my husband Sunday afternoon. The hostess (now know it was the manager) was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Instead of seating us she proceeded to organize menus for a minute or two and once she was finished told us to follow her. We immediately felt uncomfortable being there. We sat on the patio which was beautiful. Our server was friendly and the drinks and white bean dip were good. During our drinks, the lady who had seated us (manager) came out and started arguing with our waitress about why the tables out there weren't set. The manager kept going on and on and she was directly behind us. She then started taking plates and cutlery out and slamming them on tables behind us to set the tables. It ruined the atmosphere to hear all of this arguing and slamming. We found all of these actions on her part to be extremely unprofessional. We needed our bill but couldn't get our server back for a very long time as a cruise ship had brought more guests in. There was a male server there that was very friendly and helpful and he was eventually able to help. Overall, the vibe and service was not good and we would not go back, which was disappointing because the view of the water was lovely.

Centrally located on Front Street in Hamilton, the Pickled Onion has a fun, fresh, modern pub vibe. The servers are friendly, the food is good, and, if you are seated outside on the balcony, the view of Hamilton Harbour is lovely.

Very nice and clean, and good food. This is the Korean cauliflower and I forgot the name of the drink but it's very good

Little disappointed after reading great reviews. Fish chowder was good! That's the high point. Lettuce wraps? Awful attempt and waste of $. Asking for water 3 times? Not good. Their mango house specialty drink tasted like juice. If there was alcohol in it then it had to be a only a trace amount. If I didn't know any better I would have thought I was in some corporate restaurant. The reviews brought me in, but my experience wasn't reflective of those reviews.

My husband and I had drinks and food while in town. Food was delicious and drinks were even more so! Only downside was my husband asked for a tap water and soda and the waitress brought over a club soda, but he didn't want to correct her.

Great food and I had chicken sliders and so many people are recommending this restaurant. Beside The Terrace.

I've been to Pickled Onion a few times and I've never felt disappointed. The food presentation is great, the ambiance is great. It's even better with great company. I will definitely go again.

Ideally situated in the heart of Front Street in Hamilton, this lively venue offers great views of the waterfront from the deck. We enjoyed the artichoke dip and crispy dry rib appetizers. The steaks and daily catch entrees are perfectly prepared, as are their cocktails. Service is very friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The ambiance is well suited to after-work drinks, dinner with friends, and date night.

Loved it. I don't hand out five stars easily. The food was good. The service was quite good. The tuna flatbread was delicious.

Great spot to have a drink and enjoy the evening. This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in the Island. The service is great. If you visit be sure to order the swizzle, you won't be disappointed!

Food was ok, drinks are great. Service was horrible, waitress must have forgot about us as we didn’t get our second round of drinks (ordered after appetizers) until well after our meal was finished. Waited another 30 minutes for the check. This was our first dinner in Bermuda and after a long day of travel we were looking for a nice quick dinner to relax before heading in for the night. Ended up taking up the entire night.

Every dish we tried here was excellent. About average price for Bermuda with a lot of drink options. Terrace overlooking the bay. Cool decor on the interior of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend the yellowfin tuna bowl.

Great location on front street, service was awesome, and the food was incredible. The peanut Coleslaw is a MUST if you order a main that has a side option. Fish chowder was also unsuspecting—but delicious! Pictured: terrace view Wahoo Sliders with Peanut Coleslaw Bermuda Fish Chowder

Below average service and overpriced. $40 for 2 rum swizzles felt a bit much when it was premade and they just had to pour it out of a container but I liked the quotes on the wall. I wouldn’t return if I came back to Bermuda due to the service and cost combined.

We love the Pickled Onion almost as much as it's sister The Frog & Onion. Great food at good prices, friendly staff in a nice location on Front Street. Eat out on the balcony to people watch.

Very good food, I had a Wahoo Flatbread which was delicious. A little pricy, but honestly that's to be expected. Ben was a great server, and also gave some very helpful advice about touring the island in general!

Great outdoor seating and delicious meals. Fridays and Saturdays is more lively as the restaurant turns into a club.

Love to sit outside on the balcony and watch the bustling city. Ocean breezes are included. Phenomenal service, pub fare with a little flare. Great atmosphere!

The view is awesome the food is good, so there isn’t much to say. Just a great place for lunch, the prices are on the high side, but that’s what you get on front street. (Bathrooms are a 10/10 by the way.)

Absolutely Awesome and the deck overlooking the street and the water cant be beat. We made it a point to try to eat foods from the region while on our 1st Bermuda trip, I opted for the Rockfish Tacos, hubby had a burger- AMAZING! And as others have said- the peanut slaw was a yummy surprise. Our server was wonderful, attentive and friendly. We tapped into their WiFi which was nice as our cruise ship WiFi was less than effective. We had the featured shot and beer which entitled us to a free glass to take home. Will definately eat here again when we are back on the island :)

A must see while visiting Bermuda. Long stairway to enter & no handicap is available. Food is typical pub food, skip the nachos & order short ribs app, they were very good. The view is nice however, the street noise outside seating. Same look from years years ago..could use an update, especially the outside area.

We were seated inside so the impression of the atmosphere might have been different if we were on the terrace. Our waiter was great and did a fantastic job. The kitchen got the food out very quickly..... but nothing could have overcome the ho-hum quality of food. Tourist trap...and we got trapped. Never going back.

  • 4/5 Thomas H. 9 months ago on Google
Ate there for dinner on a harbor night. No problem getting seated. Food was a hit and the service was slow. Could have used a few water refills. I had the bonitos fish which was delicious. My wife had a super foods bowl which she loved. Nice atmosphere and we were able to hear each other

We enjoy the food! After visiting many other restaurants in the area these prices here are comparable but the portions are much smaller. Very good otherwise! I appropriated the vegan options available.

Our late lunch was quite good. We sat outside with a view to the waters. We ordered Tiger Shrimp sautéed in butter, Caesar Salad and Fish n Chips. All good. The staff was friendly too. Price $$$ (but it may be normal for Bermuda standard).

Excellent seafood. Drinks are fun. We had the jealous coconut. It was very good. We were able sit outside and had a great view of the main street and water.

Lovely atmosphere but..... Vegan options not all good. The guacamole is amazing. The vegan version of flatbread lacks flavour and too hard and dry. A bit of hummus would improve it. I have made a far, far better one at home. The vegan cauliflower was ok ish. The texture was good but I have tasted far better. I do wish that chefs would taste the food on the menu more often. Vegans do like to eat tasty food as much as anyone.

Wanted to go with my child in a stroller today but couldn’t due to the huge stairs. They’re losing mother & child customers, not to mention anyone disabled.

Food was excellent. A bit pricey but hey its Bermuda and you get what you pay for anywhere in the world.. very nice atmosphere looking over the water. You only live once. However, you havent lived until you visited Bermuda. Lovers paradise

One of the best hang out spots bar / restaurant in Bermuda affordable price with a great tasting menu

  • 3/5 Aruna D. 4 years ago on Google
Menu has gone downhill a bit. I feel like they've had those flatbreads on there forever. And lots of spicy things, not sure if that's on purpose or now. Otherwise everything else great. Ambience, service, etc.

We stumbled upon this place while wandering down the streets of Hamilton. We chose tonsit upstairs on the terrace for lunch. Our server was super nice and attentive. Tall asian guy, forgive me i forgot his name. Calamari appetizer was perdectly cooked, crisp and tender. My husband's burger was perfectly cooked, and my lamb wrap was outstanding. I'm craving it now. Drinks i had were the jealous coconut and the pink panty (which I had my husband order for me, haha). Both were absolutely delicious, and pretty sweet, not strong. Maybe they were strong but they didnt taste it!

This restaurant offers a great variety of bar food: wings, burgers, fries, pizza, nachos, etc. The staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are pretty high, likely owing to its premium location.

Fun place on Front street for a drink or dinner.

  • 5/5 Alexandra Track A. 4 years ago on Google
Yummy food and friendly service. You get a beautiful view of the water from the patio. I ordered the Rockfish Tacos which seemed to be pretty popular. I just wish the coleslaw on them had way less mayo, as it was a tad overpowering. My husband ordered the Grilled Fish Sandwich (wahoo fish) which he said was good, but a bit on the dry side. Our sever couldn’t have been more attentive and willing to fix our issues though so I really cannot complain. Random tip: bottles of Outerbridge’s Sherry Pepper Rum Sauce are available for sale here for only $6.00 while the souvenir stores on the street charge about $9.00 a bottle.

Excellent service and food. We had the flatbread chicken pesto and bow tie pasta. Both were excellent. Good flavor well cooked chicken. These portions are big so we split both. Also they serve this bread there that is amazing. The only disappointment was the cast iron dessert. It was smaller than we expected. It was enough to eat 2 or 3 spoon fulls but in the states these desserts u can share amoung 4 people. The food on the island is great everywhere. But this place is a must Also after 10pm they turn into a dance club.

Stopped for a quick drink and a snack in Hamilton. Great atmosphere overlooking the water right on Front St. It was pricey but it was not surprising given that it's on Front St and its Bermuda. We ordered two appetizers to share. Tasty food and drinks
