For our anniversary my wife and I decided to go to Bermuda for the first time. We chose our itinerary 3 weeks in advance and made all of the appropriate reservations. On our first night to the island we arrived at Blu Bar with a sign on the door saying "restaurant closed due to kitchen maintenance" we never got a call, or any other form of notification that the establishment was going to be closed. We wasted cab fair, and were stranded until another taxi could come and pick us up. In addition, the building was incredibly run down, the entrance was uninviting and the landscaping on the golf course was unkempt and browning out. I would not recommend this location.

We're not sure how/why this venue is touted as one of Bermuda's best, as there are many (much) better options on the island. You're clearly paying for the views here... The menu offers a strange mix of Asian and Italian fare, neither of which they appear to have mastered. The sushi was underwhelming and what you can get at any mid-level restaurant anywhere. The veal parmesan was entirely unremarkable. Our servers were clearly focused on turning over the table, pestering us incessantly for our order as we tried to enjoy a cocktail. If you go, make a reservation for a time near sunset, as they keep the blinds drawn so as to block the low sun's glare. The views are very good. Despite their website's dress code requirements, we found many of the guests to be dressed very casually.

The nigiri was so fresh. We ordered the lamp chop. Tuna tarter amazing. Gorgeous views of water. Great place to catch a sunset.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, MEF is generally pretty on the ball so when I saw the expensive prices I wasn't too shocked but expected to receive quality. It was incredibly underwhelming, servers made several errors (placing food to the wrong people, not coming to refill wines even though they had our bottle, coffee came before dessert and was missing one and milk was burned) Coke was $6+ and tasted flat like the soda gun was potentially low on gas. Food was mediocre, my starter was okay, main was highlight but shouldn't pay $35+ for a cheese pasta dish with six pieces of pasta. I didn't finish the dessert at all because it was pretty terrible, though I have to say my husband's souffle was delicious so that was the winner of the night. Final bill for four adults was like $600 and even for Bermuda I've never felt it was such a waste of money. (And we barely even had wine) I won't be going back anytime soon.

Worst dining experience I have ever had in my 30 years of going to Bermuda. The restaurant is attractive and the views are spectacular – but that’s it! Last Thursday night my husband and I went to Blu . While enjoying our cocktails the staff suddenly started setting up a large table next to us – and I mean so close that the chairs would have hit our table. They were bringing in wooden tabletops, moving chairs, etc. Very disruptive for a restaurant of this caliber. We asked our waitress if we could move to one of the many vacant other tables. She asked the manager (Costanzo) if this was possible and he cursed at her. My husband confronted him on how he treated this woman and the manager replied with “mind your own f-ing business and leave if you don’t like it” We decided to leave but the verbal tirade continued to the point that Costanzo shoved my husband. Two other men who worked there jumped up as if to hold the man back (like perhaps this isn’t the first time he’s pulled this move…). From there we went to the Bermuda Police to report the incident. Needless to say we will NEVER go back to Blu. Interesting that since this has happened I’ve been reading many reviews on line and we were far from the only ones treated badly by Costanzo. I would steer clear of the place! There are plenty of other restaurants on Bermuda with gorgeous views and great food.

As advertised Blu has a spectacular view. The food is fine but over priced. The wine list looks impressive however marked up 10 times from retail prices in the US. We requested a table on the outside patio, however all were booked up on reservations. Tables remained open on the patio the entire 90 minutes we were there.

What a fantastic view from the outside balcony and those sunsets! Wow, and that goes for the food and service too. One of Bermuda’s finest.

Beautifully coursed out meal. Every dish was very well done and to be completely honest they made some of the best gyoza I’ve ever had and I’ve had a ton of dumplings. Beautiful views of the sunset as well. Service was great

Phenomenal fish dishes and wines to pair. Had the Bronzino which was filleted and seasoned exceptionally well while my dinner guests shared some of the salads making for a solid dinner meal. Like lots of places on the island, dinner ends at 10pm so take that into consideration, especially if you’re from a big city where places stay open late.

We had our wedding dinner here, and we absolutely loved it. Perfect, friendly service, and we were seated outdoors as we requested without any problems. The food was fantastic, but expect to pay for the experience. Cocktails run $20 apiece and were nothing extraordinary, but the food more than made up for it. For two appetizers, three cocktails, two entrees and a dessert, we paid $267. The wine selection is large, but we bypassed it because of the cost. The mocktails are reasonably priced and a good idea.

Beautiful view on outdoor terrace, however missed sunset because the staff initially refused to seat us outdoors even though we had requested table with sunset view. Response was that all tables on patio were reserved. Twenty minutes later the manager decided to seat us outside. The entire dinner there were tables available outdoors. Menu is like diner serving sushi, italian, steak and seafood. All food and cocktails are overpriced.

Went there as a table of 6 for a celebration. Booked ahead, got a table at the window, which was great, but the blinds were down, so utterly pointless. The service was appallingly slow. When the food was finally brought up, only 2 plates at a time, they had no clue who had ordered what. So you had to put your hand up, who had the lamb etc, then by the time everyone had their meals in front of them, the first two's meals were cold. Utterly disgraceful to charge what they do for service - It is better at the local cafe. The prices have gone up dramatically since Covid, (clearly trying to claw some money back), but the service and standard of the place has nose dived down hill. It is lacking in every regard. Perhaps the owners should leave the island see what proper five star restaurants are like. Don't waste your hard earned money

Our concierge called in advance to the restaurant to request a wonderful table outside for our anniversary. When we arrived we were met by a supercilious manager who looked us up and down ( we’re from nyc and know how to dress well!) and were sent to a third row two person table ridiculously close to another two couple table. There was no view outside for us as “ front view tables all reserved for parties of four.” We then decided to ask for table with view inside. We were offered the single worst table in the restaurant which was next to the podium where customers arrive. No view of anything but entrance where guests are greeted. We were nice and said it’s our anniversary isn’t there a nicer table. The manager said “ your concierge didn’t request it!” We said we were leaving and , in a huff, he said “ I ordered you a cab.” We’ve been to some of the finest restaurants around the world and NEVER have we been treated in such a dismissive rude way. If you’re a party of two think of dining elsewhere on this beautiful island.

Well there's the view (see photo). The wine selection is great. The food and desserts good too as well as friendly serving staff. We played the golf course the next day, which is short and fun, but the restaurant is the five star part

A “fine dining” experience circa 1999. I have never felt so compelled to warn visiting tourists of a restaurant before in my entire life. DO. NOT. WASTE. YOUR. TIME. The menu is a culmination of something Sarah Jessica Parker would have ordered on Sex In The City in the late 90s. They clearly don’t understand what a magarita pizza is as we were served a standard cheese pizza. But enough about the food - let’s get to the good (read as exceptionally terrible) part - the incredibly judgmental and apathetic wait staff. We actually witnessed several servers giving real live thumbs down to each other regarding their tables. AND you would think that with a whopping FOUR TABLES in the entire restarant they would be more courteous. Our server also made the call to charge gratuity on our TWO PERSON TABLE which personally coming from the serving industry is a signal that they don’t believe their table is going to tip. Poor lapse of judgment, rude and undeserved. If you’re staying in Warwick, do yourself a favor - order take out, go to a different restaurant, head to a gas station and have a romantic chip and white wine dinner to avoid this place.

I had the most awful and unpleasant dining experience at this restaurant! Why have wait staff who are not proficient in English (my waitress could recite the specials, but apparently, far from comprehend communications)? After three attempts at getting my entrée completely wrong, I didn’t end up having dinner! The wait service was appalling, as was my food - yellowish-green, limp, soggy asparagus and crunchy, hard risotto! To make the dining experience even worse, the elderly male host, who takes your coats on arrival, was so very rude! I had on a long sweater - not a coat. I kept it on because I was cold, rather than have it placed on the coat rack. He glared and impolitely demanded, like a miserable, officious prison warden, that if I wore my sweater to my table, I had to “keep it on all night and not take it off” because coats are not allowed at the dinner table! I will never return to this sub-par food prep and incompetent customer service restaurant again; and I do not recommend it. Fine dining it was not!

I've had some pretty good take out from here. The Boss' Fried Rice is my go to pick for a filling and affordable meal. Skip the mini spring rolls, but go for the full sized ones. The Curry Beef Puffs are awesome, but you have to be very lucky to get them before they sell out.

Have had the pad thai, Mongolian lamb (and rice) and chicken cashew nut (and rice). The Mongolian lamb was a great dish (good meat and great sauce), and the pad Thai was a standard of pad Thai (generous portion). I was a bit disappointed in the chicken cashew nut (the dish didn’t come together and lack of cashew nuts) - have a very large menu - so lots more to explore here.

What a disappointment. Does nowhere on Bermuda remember how to deliver customer service any longer? I phoned ahead to book a table, stating I looked forward to celebrating our anniversary at Blu. On arrival instead of "Good evening, and welcome to Blu" I was met with "Habe you booked? What's your name?" I offered it and confirmed I had - still no welcome just a "follow me". Whilst I didnt expect 'top table' I was disappointed to be sat facing a window into the resteraunt as far away from the view as possible! A comfortable cushion made sitting on the patio chair more bearable. Bit the plastic table without either cloth or mats, was more akin to bbq pub food than fine dining. The food was delicious and well presented. Our waiter attentive and friendly. A bowl was automatically provided for shells for my fish course yet I was offered a dessert spoon for my soup! However, having been advised strongly when making the booking regarding their 'strict dress code' disappointed this code of decorum doesn't extend to others guests consideration for others, and that they are attempting to offer a fine dining experience rather than clubhouse banter. However, this was also confusing to see people arriving to collect take out from the matre de desk! I was grateful to receive a complimentary slice of cake to share eith the words happy anniversary on the plate. But would have liked to be asked if we also wanted dessert? Disappointed they only offer dairy coffee and nothing like either soy, oat, lactuse alternatives. Or, that nobody asked about allergies! On asking for the bill, nobody enquired as to how our evening was, too busy tidying away our table literally as we stood. From the website images, and menu, it's got all the makings of somewhere really nice. The reality is, it's confused as to what it is, or who it's trying to serve/appeal to? Overal, an enjoyable meal, let down by poor service attention to detail and lacking in refinement of customer service. And certainly not what I'd expected or hoped for. With SO much in the way of competition on the island, I'm somewhere between shocked and disappointed as to the overall apathy and lack of consideration for any form of real customer consideration. Certainly not the experience I had hoped for, and not one I would consider returning to repeat.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Blu Grill restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The sushi offerings were fantastic, with fresh and delicious. However, I must admit that the Bartoni Roll, topped with a blue sauce, didn't quite suit my taste. The sauce was a bit too sugary but the other selections was delicious. In addition to the fantastic sushi, I would like to highlight a couple of standout dishes at Blu Grill. The grilled oysters were an absolute must-try. They were perfectly cooked, with a delightful smoky flavor that complemented the brininess of the oysters. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness. Overall, my experience at Blu Grill was truly enjoyable. From the delectable sushi options to the must-try grilled oysters and tuna tartare, the culinary offerings exceeded my expectations. The wine selection at Blu Grill was perfect. They offered a wide variety of wines, catering to different preferences and enhancing the dining experience. The service we received was also commendable, with attentive and friendly staff who ensured our needs were met throughout the meal. Despite my personal preference regarding the Bartoni Roll, I would still highly recommend Blu Grill for its exceptional sushi, extensive wine selection, and overall great service. It's a restaurant that is worth a visit.

We booked for evening dinner service to celebrate our anniversary, (which was conveyed to them at time of booking). Sadly, no warm greeting or welcome was offered, in favour of "Name?" The table offered was adequate, but disappointing. In ad much as its a resteraunt trying to offer fine dining, whilst seating you on plastic 'picnic' furniture (no place mats, or coasters etc) The food was good, the service reasonable. But no offer of a dessert, or enquiry as to whether we had enjoyed our meal! Overal, good food spoiled by poorly trained staff.

Made a birthday reservation for my wife and the restaurant completely forgot it. Which is okay except the service was super slow, we weren’t well attended (had to pour our own water and call the waiter constantly to order food and drinks), and the most awkward part is the table next to us also had a birthday, but they didn’t forget… food was average tbh, got three appetizers and the duck and the branzino, wasn’t expecting the food to be good but the was expecting service to be great. Will definitely not come back again.

First visit to Blu last night, and unfortunately will be my last. Very classic style service along with chipped wooden tables with a pathetic centre piece cloth over the middle. The service I cannot fault and our lady serving us was very attentive and professional. Unfortunately it all stops there, the food an embarrassment. Our starter of calamari had been deep fried to death and I would be interested to know how often their deep fryer oil is changed as it had an overwhelming oil taste. A pad Thai for $38 dollars was a joke, tasteless and resembling nothing like a traditional pad Thai. I got the fish of the day - tiny and dry. A molten chocolate lava cake for $16 arrived cold and not piping hot as it should be. Again backing up the good service our server took this off the bill. The menu resembles an overpriced diner. I’m sorry to be so critical as a former restaurant owner but when you are paying premium prices you would hope the quality of the food would be top notch not just the service.

Every cab we got into said we should go to Blu and they were right. Positives - food was delicious and very well presented. The appetizer sushi was huge and really is for two people but the waiter didn't mention it. The outside terrace offers a breeze and great views. The only negative is that it is very expensive across-the-board (but this is Bermuda...). Best restaurant we went to on our vacation!

If I could give this place no stars I would. Out of all the times I've been there the food is either sub-par and inedible or really good (Eat-In & Takeout). The only reason why i'm choosing to write this review out of all the times I've been there is because of what I found in my food. I took the lid off the container & it was clear that the chicken that I had wasn't made to order or fresh at all. It definitely looked and smelled like it already belonged in the garbage, So that's where it went. As I just paid $30 for the food and half of it was already sitting in the garbage, I still tried my luck at the rest of my dinner. I was eating the rice and noticed a greyish black pellet looking thing in the container. Already sceptical I put the piece "rice" to the side and notice a small hair sticking out of it. With that being said it's quite obvious it was some sort of vermin excrement! I really wish i took a picture of it but I was so horrified I threw everything in the trash! I'm ill just thinking about it! Needless to say the health department needs to pay this place a visit! I won't eat here ever again!!!!

My husband and I use to go here all the time, but had moved back to the states a few years ago. Well now we’re back and had to spend our Valentine’s Day here so we could reminisce. Food was excellent, but a fixed meal with limited options should definitely be top notch. I posted pictures of each course for your viewing pleasure😘 honestly everything was delicious, but the lobster stuffed with crab was just ok. Maybe since I’m from Maryland, no one’s crabmeat ever will compare. However, the reason for 4 starts and not 5 is because their air conditioning broke and it was hot and very uncomfortable in the restaurant. I had to step outside (the doors were being propped open by fire hydrants) to get some air halfway through our meal. Everyone around us was complaining, but we knew walking in there was no turning it down. Other than that, great service, great location and awesome atmosphere for the perfect date night!

Celebrating a milestone at Blu was a delightful occasion. From the spacious foyer to our window table overlooking the beauty of Bermuda, Blu offers a relaxed atmosphere of elegance. Our party included those with dietary specifications, and the servers and chefs meet their needs smoothly. Service was professional, and the food was expertly prepared. Expect the prices to be in the pricier range, and gentlemen must wear collared shirts to dinner. Once you arive, take your time and enjoy.
