Went
for
brunch
to
Beau
Rivage
Restaurant
at
Newstead
in
sep
2017,
the
selection
was
very
poor,
presentation
was
ok,
but
quality
was
not
even
close
to
what
you'd
expect
from
the
kitchen
of
an
MOF.
-The
bread
rolls
looked
old
and
wrinkled,
just
like
the
ones
forgotten
in
the
freezer
for
a
while.
-The
appetizer
side
of
the
buffet
had
some
leek
mini
tarts
that
looked
like
some
leftovers
from
the
night
before,
but
definitely
not
made
specially
for
this
brunch.
-
There
was
a
duck
confit
salad
that
had
big
pieces
of
the
skin
,
for
those
who
don't
know,
the
skin
is
very
fatty
and
if
not
crisped
up,
it
would
be
unpleasant.
And
that
soft
skin
was
in
the
salad,
just
ruined
it.
-
There
were
no
cold
cuts.
Even
the
cheapest
buffet
in
bda
offers
cold
cuts,
this
one
had
only
smoked
salmon,
but
no
sour
cream
(
creme
fraiche)
or
cream
cheese
,
no
brown
bread.
-
The
sushis
were
ok,
but
not
one
single
item
is
kept
on
ice,
sitting
out
for
hours,
raw
fish,
crab
meat,
shrimps.
-
The
cheese
platter
looked
very
small
and
had
only
3
varieties
and
they
were
already
sliced,
Brie
slices
stuck
together,
fun
times.
no
garnish,
just
a
few
STALE
crackers.
Shame.
-The
hot
selection
was
even
poorer,
wahoo
and
salmon
in
butter
sauce
with
capers,
the
only
fish
dish,
plus
the
traditional
codfish
bermudian
breakfast.
-
The
ribs
were
nothing
to
rave
about,
the
lamb
curry
was
very
basic,
felt
leftover
lamb
dumped
in
a
cheap
curry
sauce.
-
The
only
pasta
dish
was
some
ravioli,
but
they
looked
heavy
and
pasty,
no
doubt
they
were
untouched.
-
The
chicken
piccata
was
flavourless.
bland.
-
The
prime
rib
looked
good
except
that
after
some
time
you
have
to
slice
it
yourself
because
the
chef
leaves
his
post.
-The
braised
brisket
was
sitting
in
a
pool
of
fat,
really
thick,
imagine
1
centimeter
of
grease
on
top
of
the
gravy.
-
The
omelette
mix
is
left
out
for
hours,
no
ice.
-
When
you
ask
for
an
omelette
or
fried
egg
make
sure
to
have
a
few
napkins
to
absorb
the
load
of
oil
spray
the
chef
will
put
in
the
pan,
makes
you
wonder
why
they
are
using
non
stick
pans????
-
The
desserts
selection
let
them
down
too,
no
fruit
salad,
chocolate
fountain
with
a
few
skewers
of
melon
and
marshmallows,
the
whipped
cream
also
is
not
kept
on
ice,
neither
is
the
chocolate
mousse,
no
fresh
berries,
not
one
single
fresh
berry.
-
The
desserts
were
apparently
home
made,
but
they
looked
like
the
frozen
ones
that
were
only
thawed
out
and
sliced
and
served
to
us.
It
was
a
very
disappointing
experience,
the
cold
food
didn't
have
any
labels,
the
maitre
d'
was
very
present
and
active,
thumbs
up,
beautiful
setting,
fantastic
view
of
the
harbour
,
so
I
guess
we
paid
for
that
in
fact
and
not
really
for
the
food.
Other
brunches
in
bda
offer
more
at
a
better
rate.
