This view is gorgeous... make sure you ask your driver to make a stop here. It’s a great photos op and if you like to walk to the ocean it’s so beautiful. There is a quick little driveway so you can just pull right on in

Nice views, worth a stop. $7/ person Def talk to Patrick if he's there. Very knowledgeable and can tell you lots of interesting things. One of the better stops. You can see inner workings of a fort and how it changed over the years. You can pick up authentic cannon balls. Giant parrot fish can be seen from the edge.

Beautiful structure with even more beautiful views of the ocean. Despite arriving within 15 minutes of closing time, the incredibly kind staff allowed us in for a quick guided tour. Definitely worth seeing. Tobacco Bay is nearby, a short walk away and worth checking out. Construction on a new hotel was underway when I visited in March. Hoping it doesn't obstruct the views or take away from the awe of this historical landmark.

We really love exploring historical landmarks, and Fort St.Catherine was a very fine example. We came here on our own on our scooter, and spent about 2 hours or more wandering around the entire fort and its grounds. It's amazing the life these people led during the time the fort was active. This place has fantastic views of the ocean too.

Beautiful historic relic and a fantastic viewpoint of the surrounding landscape. Fort St. Catherine is a must see for any history buff or anyone looking to roam through some chilly corridors on a hot day. Don't miss out on this great experience for a fairly reasonable admission fee.

It's pretty small with lots of signs to read. It's an old Fort. The ocean is beautiful.

  • 5/5 Elisabeth P. 4 years ago on Google
Nicely preserved fort with extensive signage explaining each area. Great views off the main deck and the top of the keep. For history buffs, worth the walk from St. George's. Note: you can bring strollers in (there's nowhere to check them anyway), but there are stairs you need to navigate to get through the fort. We did fine with a City Mini and our 25lb toddler, but larger strollers and/or kids would be difficult to carry through.

Spectacular! One of the best attractions I've been to. You get to tour the ENTIRE fort!! Very few places are not accessible (some parts are just pure storage). But, you get to go underground into the belly of the fort, you get to go on the very top with the cannons. There is a small museum in the entrance, and a small part in the barracks. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!!

Fun to see all the big guns that were never fired at an enemy

  • 5/5 Rum l. 7 months ago on Google
Great museum that showed every aspect of how the fort and its guns functioned, as well as the historical context going on around it that shaped its development. I highly recommend visiting. Consider giving yourself an hour minimum to walk through most of the exhibits; two hours if you want to see everything. Bring cash for the entry fee.

Excellent sample of British fortifications. Well preserved and maintained. It is a place you must visit while in Bermuda. Fort caretaker and guide Patric is the best person to give you a tour.

There are a lot of forts across Bermuda. This is a smaller fort it of the way in St. George Parish. We just drove up, took a few pictures, and kept going.

Wasn't open when we came by on a Sunday in March. But the scenery is gorgeous, beaches on both sides. Must have been a great posting for a soldier back when. We skipped St. Catherine's Beach and instead went to the small beach on the left side. There's a small set of stairs going from the entrance road down to that beach.

Worth a stop over to this historic Bermudian fort. The waters surrounding this structure was amazing.

  • 5/5 Bob R. 5 years ago on Google
Not a big or well known fort but well maintained and solid exhibits. Views are fantastic and small beach just below the walls. A mile walk from town.

Great little fort. Too bad they're destroying the feel of the place by building resort of some sort right at it's footsteps. Horrible, the little beach right next to it has construction right at it's borders and the beach itself got overtaken with the fences and workers. The view from the fort towards the ocean is still nice but opposite direction is now destroyed! We didn't pay for the entrance to the fort, Bermuda is expensive already, so we just enjoyed outside of it. Great place that lost some of its innocence of the past glory.

Fort St. Catherine and Museum is an incredible fort, full of history, artifacts, and much of the structure is in its original form. They are open Monday - Friday from 10am - 4pm. Cost: $7 adult, $5 seniors, $3 children, children under 5 are free

Wonderful old fort, part of the UNESCO world heritage site, with picturesque view from the top. If you visit only one fort on Bermuda, go for this one.

Get all the history on the island, the relevance of the fort and enjoy the laid back culture of the people here. Good starting point for touring the island and seeing the sights. Some beaches close by, food and other necessities. Get a tour bus, cab or some shared ride, you dont want to walk around on foot too much if you dont have to.

In the heritage city of St. George, the fort is historic in nature and well kept for it's age. Views of the sea at @180 degrees and the through which most of the ships enter Bermuda can be seen. There is an entry fee to the fort. It is around a 5-7 min walk from the st. George bus terminal. Have time in hand when seeing the fort if you like history, there are a few things to read.
