Queen Elizabeth Par-La-Ville Sculpture Park

Tourist attraction Park

👍 A beautiful, lush green space right in the middle of Hamilton! A great space to sit, enjoy a picnic lunch, listen to the birds and enjoy a Bermuda-ful day :) Grassy areas offer a space for kids to play. Many shaded spots to sit and take in the view. There are a couple little fish ponds to enjoy too. People often mention park, Hamilton, Nice, lunch, Beautiful, beautiful, fort, great, walk, views,

Great green space, ideal for picnics and views of Hamilton harbour. Take the stairs down to the drained moat to see a diverse landscape of bamboo trees, exotic plants, lizards and more.

+⭐️ for the dancing Monarch butterflies +⭐️ for the shaded benches on a hot day +⭐️ for being shielded from traffic noise and bustling sidewalks +⭐️ for the art +⭐️ for the clean, well-kept green space +⭐️ for the birds that make it home -⭐️ for the group of people yelling at each other who were the only bad part of a beautiful space

The park was named Par la ville Park until it was changed to Queen Elizabeth Park in commemoration of HRM jubilee year as Queen. It's a lovely oasis in the city, beautiful flowers, trees and sculptures all year round. Lovely place to bring a bagged lunch and enjoy the beauty, peace and quiet or just seat.

I am a sucker for Bermuda. It gets better year by year and there is always more to see and to do. For 30 years I have been renting motor bikes and scooters and now you can rent a 4 wheel quadricycle (car) at the Hamilton Princess. It was great!!!! The best pure form of driving since my 50 Ford. No power steering, no power brakes, no stink, pure fun, and electric.

In Bermuda for a couple of days and just wanted fast good. The only stuff available is KFC, due to local laws regarding chain restaurants. Service was great but the price was excessive. This is normal for Bermuda as prices are higher for pretty much everything. I ate at the park that was nearby. It was quiet and scenic and a nice relaxing change from the pace of the past week.

Great place to meditate, eat your lunch or people watch. Central to the City. Has a tea house with a wide selection of teas hot and cold and bubble tea.

Former British Fort. Surviving areas are preserved and open to the public. Landscaping is very well looked after, making this a pleasant area to relax and enjoy the views and the sunshine! Free entry but this means aside from a washroom there's no facilities.

Cracking place to go for a walk, both up top and in the tunnels. Steeped with history too. A 'must see' in Hamilton!

  • 5/5 Terry P. 4 years ago on Google
This is a quiet place right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Hamilton. The walk around the "moat" is like you walked into a whole other world. It's a jungle of great plants and a few chickens. The rest of the fort is what you would expect from a 150+ year old British fort. The admission price is perfect for any budget (it's free just walk in and enjoy)

    What’s a fort?

  • 5/5 Jean-Philippe C. 4 years ago on Google
Don’t come for the Fort, but the Nature. A rain forest is stuck between the walls of the fortress. It’s absolutely amazing.

100% worth a visit here. Make sure you have good walking shoes and go down to the moat to checkout the beautiful greenery.

It is a steep walk up the hill from Hamilton to the fort, but it is worth it. You can take in the views form the top of the fort, or explore a network of tunnels and the gardens that now grow inside the fort’s wall/moat.
