Norwegian docked here for 2 days. We saw about all there is to see, as it is not a huge area. The Cloctower Mall is a must see, as well as the small but beautiful beach area hidden behind the museum. Wifi is a bit slow.

This is the primary dock yard for cruise ships coming into Bermuda. The area contains shops, a beach, and mini golf all within walking distance. They also have a free shuttle that shuttles you around between all of the local activities. Its a very beautiful port that has amenities in the area.

Fun place for family and friends looking for outdoor spots and great sunset and harbor views. Decent shopping and art. Fun Golf was our highlight for the Dockyard.

It was pretty. They didn’t have a ton to do and from what I was told you can’t always catch the bus from there. You can walk to sea glass beach from here tho.

At the other end of St George’s this is where the cruise ships all dock and gets really busy with 2 ships generally in dock. Also where the ferries to other parishes . It’s a happening place full of shops and restaurants . Shops open Sunday vs Hamilton and elsewhere where most close in Sundays. Plenty of historical places including museums. Also there is a glass blowing factory where you can purchase and take or have shipped. Also famous black cakes .

We docked here with Norwegian Cruise Line, it was a very beautiful area, it’s small so it’s easy to see everything, the ferry is close by so you can easily go from the dock to the ferry, the bus stops are not too far of a walk. There’s also the museum, mall and dolphin quest which I all recommend. It’s a beautiful area with lots to do and see, but small enough for you to be able to cover it in a day.

We visited here twice - once early in our vacation and then again for our anniversary dinner. We enjoyed wandering around and checking out the history.

Traveled as a Norwegian Joy passenger in 2022. Norwegian provided a complimentary ferry ride at scheduled times between St. George and the King's Wharf. We liked the souvenir option at Dockyard Glasswork & Bermuda Rum Cake Company. Helpful TIP: You can download the offline map ahead of time from Google and use the GPS function to navigate the island even without cellphone service.

Great shopping everything close by. If you wanna see Fort Hamilton there is even a trolly. Great shopping and food options. The local "snorkle beach park" is man made. If you opt to leave an explore there is great public transportation, private cars, and rentals for bikes, scooters, and mini electric cars.

Nice dock and area. Free shuttle. Information center. Shopping and things to do and see in walking distance for those who can't afford to go on excursions.

Good place to visit. Explore Bermuda’s rich maritime history at the Royal Naval Dockyard. A lively port for cruise ships, this major attraction is home to artists, artisans and the Bermuda National Museum. A British Royal Navy stronghold for more than 150 years, this 19th-century fort once kept guard over the West End. Nearby, at the historic Clocktower Mall, you can shop local boutiques for jewellery, swimwear, crafts and more. Sample the famous cakes at Bermuda Rum Cake Company, watch glassblowers at work and meet with local artists at the Bermuda Arts Centre. There is an endless list of activities, from bike rentals, snorkelling cruises, miniature golf and deep-water dolphin encounters.

i visited while I was in the us navy in 1996. originally constructed in the early 19th century as a strategic naval outpost for the british empire. it served as a base for the royal navy's operations in the north atlantic and played a crucial role in defending british interests in the region. over time, the dockyard evolved into a bustling commercial hub and a center of naval innovation. in the 20th century, it became a key port of call for american and canadian cruise ships, bringing tourism and economic growth to the island. today, the royal naval dockyard is a popular tourist destination, with a variety of attractions that showcase its rich history and nautical heritage.

We rented a small modern bungalow for Christmas week in St. George’s Parish. With the exception of one day (biblical winter downpours) we ventured forth each day in search of experiences&fun! Taking the bus from one end of the island to the other was a Blast. 45 minutes of visual sounds scents and taste tempted us en route through very tightly constructed harbor side towns, winding winding country road with magnificent views of the sw cliffs and ocean. Brought us to the RND and the frog&onion pub, then short walk to swim with the dolphins and scope the maritime museum.

Beautiful, clean, and historic. Lots of shops, parking, recharging for your electric car (we had a Twizy). Nice and convenient. Unfortunately the shops were closed while we were there, so I can not give any reviews about it's shopping. However, it does give us another reason to come back to Bermuda.

This was niiiiiiice! Not really much to do in Bermuda and everything closes at 5pm, but it was beautiful there!! The dockyard was very convenient and it's right there where you can sign up for excursions and stuff; there are lil shops there and eateries. You can rent the lil cars or scooters, everything is right there soon as ya get off the ship.

Bermuda cruise port with multi shops, restaurant, pay beach and historic fort are available. Takes a few hours to explore. Would recommend the shuttle to Horseshoe Beach or researching excursions if going to spend multiple days in ports.

Nice weather! Beautiful scenery and cute shopping stores

  • 5/5 Brad L. 1 year ago on Google
One of the most beautiful ports I've come across. There's an inflatable water park for kids and adults, dolphin experience, and a few local shops. If you're porting here, a trip to horseshoe beach is $7 one way and the driver usually provides you some history about Bermuda during the drive.

Interesting historical location. We were lucky enough to be there without cruise ships, so very quiet and no queues.

As cruise veterans, we've learned to get out of the dock area as fast as you can. Typically manufactured tourist traps with $ vacuums. THIS IS DIFFERENT. For one, it's an historic area - once home to the British Navy's HQ. The buildings and grounds have retained their original look and construction for the most part. All the shopping and restaurants, except a couple, are housed in the base's original structures. At one end, there's a "mall" with a good number of shops from jewelry to souvenirs to food stands. At the other, very convenient access to Hamilton and St. George's ferries and other transportation. Along the walkway that goes from one end to the other, there are nice shops - particularly Faulkner Gallery. And there are places for ice cream and other refreshments. This isn't a place to make a day of. But if you're on a cruise, do explore a bit. And if you're staying on the island it's an easy enough trip - nice to see and maybe grab lunch - several dining options

Beautiful place to visit during the day to shop, and there are many excursions. My husband and I also visited at nigh time and it was very quiet. Enjoyed walking around in dark. Its busy if theres a cruise shipped docked.

I have been to every point in Bermuda. Loved ever minute. My favourite pub "The Rambs Head" on the right hand side past the Bank at end of Front street. This was back in 1983, 1985 & 1989.

This is my favorite port to date. There aren't vendors hitting you up the minute you get off the ship. Transportation is an easy walk and the drivers aren't all shouting at you as you approach. Fares are clearly posted/stated. There is a complimentary trolley service to get you to the shopping area and you are a short walk to the Museum of Bermuda (which is a wonderful attraction). I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
