I have visited CB many times, and it pains me to have to give a low review. But for the wonderful staff and food, it would have been lower. New management has made 2 changes that have altered my experience there. 1st, they now allow small children. This is a bad idea. The main reason I sought out CB in the first place is that it used to be adults only. Hearing crying babies and screaming children does not make for a relaxing visit and adversely affects the ambience. 2nd, they have eliminated the 2-bed option in rooms. I travel with a friend, and we need two beds. Instead, we got a king bed and a rusty metal cot with a mattress that has seen better days. This was not conveyed to me when I booked the room. I was looking to have my name added as a fiver, but I haven't decided if I will return. I don't expect to sleep on an old rickety cot, which I doubt anyone on the management team would find acceptable, when vacationing at a nice resort. Management is upgrading the rooms and public areas, which is a good thing, but don't change the essential charm CB is known for.

The physical location, setting, privacy, seclusion, gardens, ocean views are all stunning. Food is excellent. Bar service is horribly slow. Towels, umbrellas and chairs at both pools are horribly lacking. A multitude of issues inside the room. Supposedly standard amenities were missing. Gross dirty chair full of hair from prior guests. At $760 per night I expect much better.

An incredible experience in the most beautiful place ever. Not since before the pandemic have my partner and I been treated to such exceptional service, wonderful food, kind people and an overwhelmingly positive experience. Tucked away from the busier parts of the island, Cambridge is the perfect place to get away, relax, and be reminded of how great accommodations are supposed to be. Thank you for making our stay one of the best we’ve ever had.

The rooms are tastefully designed, distinct from some of the Google review photos, and the linens are impeccable. The property is well-equipped with amenities like a water sports center, spa, courts, and bike rentals. Breakfast is a delightful experience, and dining on the beach at Breezes was a highlight. Its location on a beach-surrounded peninsula is superb, with several secluded islands offering beaches within snorkeling or kayaking distance. We were especially grateful for the assistance of General Manager Clarence, who went above and beyond to help us, including resolving issues with an outside bike rental and arranging alternate transportation when our scheduled taxi didn't show up. Our thanks for a wonderful stay!

This beautiful, quiet and charming resort is conveniently located close to everything you will want to see! The staff is kind, respectful; and personable. They were so accommodating and even set up our transportation to and from the airport for our convenience. Our room was clean, spacious, had a lot of closet/drawer space, had a fridge, blow-dryer, AC, huge bathtub, large flat-screen TV, and was very comfortable. (Very comfortable bed with amazing sheets!) The Breezes restaurant on the property has excellent food, overlooks the ocean, and is a must-do while staying at Cambridge Beaches. Book your reservations...you won’t regret it!!!

Wonderful resort The property has great views, their service and staff are top notch. I will like to mention Ashu, Ashwani, other waiting staff and team going above and beyond taking care of our food needs being vegetarians and traveling with 2 young children. Highly recommended !!! We will visit again

We stayed for our honeymoon and it was such a beautiful spot. The resort property is nicely laid out and the views are lovely all around. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. Our suite was perfectly located next to the main building, infinity pool and beach front on one side and a more private beach (turtle cove) on the other side. The gym, spa area and other activities were nice as well. All of the restaurants had good selections for food and drinks. We really loved Breezes for the view and breeze. We also booked a shuttle to and from the resort which made it really easy to get to.

This resort is top notch. From the staff, to location and rooms with bathrooms and closets the size of decent sized homes, it's simply amazing. If you are looking for laid back, comfy atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and great food/drinks. This is your spot. Location is a bit remote (that's its appeal though). However, you are walking distance from the ferry which is $4 to downtown.

Great spot, beautiful part of the island. It cost about $60 to get there by cab. Rooms are great, beautiful views. Little beach area is perfect, right next to an outdoor bar and restaurant. The water color is stunning. Corona Lights and lime are just like the commercial. Lots of beautiful beaches nearby, staff is very friendly and helpful. People are really nice throughout the island. The BBQ on Monday nights is really good and the breakfast buffet is nice as well. Other food choices at the property are fairly basic. Food on Bermuda is pricey and frequently modest in quality. The pool at the hotel is not heated so it can be pretty chilly in non-summer months. It's also small, so if you want a big pool experience, look elsewhere. Will definitely stay her again.

We had a great first trip to Bermuda staying at Cambridge Beaches Resort. The staff was amazing. Very kind and helpful (thank you Theresa!). Service and food at the restaurants was top notch. Bartenders were fun and the craft cocktails at Sunken Harbor were world class.

This is my first post covid out of the states vacation so initially didnt expect much but based on the reviews held my expectations slightly high. The service staff was superb and flawless, but the rooms were outdated and in need of major renovations. Pressed wood furniture was literally falling apart, sliding doors beyond repair(but a quick lube and rollers would have improved it considerably) Food was impressive. But with its location I found spending a hundred dollar s on cab fare when vehicles were at hand inexcusable. The thought of finishing a meal on the other side of the island and not having a ride back to the hotel was a factor in our dining options. Otherwise if you are willing to deal with the mandatory covid restrictions .

This may be the longest review I have ever written because there are just so many lovely things to say about Cambridge Beaches. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They were helpful, kind (not just friendly, but actually kind), welcoming, and never made you feel like your requests were an inconvenience. Special shout outs to Ann-Tene, Piere, Anthony, and Sam. As for the resort itself, the location absolutely cannot be beat. The grounds are /gorgeous/ and full of little spots that feel like they are your very own secret, even though they are obviously part of a resort. The sort of spots that you look at and say "this is the place that I could die and not be mad about it". The beaches (there are at least three) are all perfection and never felt crowded or busy. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite and it was just gorgeous. The bathroom was spacious and lovely, the bed was incredibly comfortable (and I'm particular about pillows and blankets), and the view from the private terrace was STUNNING. Now, let's talk about food. Was it expensive? Yes, but all the food on Bermuda is expensive and it was not overpriced when compared to the rest of the island and considering the quality. And the quality was UNRIVALED. Everything we ate was fantastic. Even the 'simple' foods were the absolute best version of that thing. I had the most perfectly poached egg of my life. It feels weird to be so thrilled about an egg but it was that amazing. Oh, and they also make their own breakfast pastries and you would trade your soul for the doughnuts. On our way home we had complications with our flight out and the airline ended up having to put us up at another hotel near the airport for a night. The entire time we were there my husband and I kept looking at each other and saying "sure, this is ok, but it's not Cambridge". This other hotel was one of the major ones on the island and I had initially considered it when planning our trip. After getting to experience both, I was feeling incredibly smug with my decision to choose Cambridge! Don't stay anywhere else!

Too far from everything. Pompous and rude manager Moved our room around twice. Staff in restaurants are great.Food good Help that drive the golf carts are wonderful. Don’t go there if you have a problem to have to walk to everything. Still can’t get over the manager threatening to call police if we did not move our room. There are. better places to go like Turks and Caicos, Grace Bay Club They couldn’t do enough for you. Just class!

This is the BEST experience at a hotel I have ever had. I plan to come annually as it is the best place for all types of groups - family, couples etc. There are endless activities and adventures to be had that will last a lifetime. The rooms are clean and adorable. This place is truly magic!!! Heaven on earth!

An absolutely phenomenal place to stay. We've visited Bermuda before and stayed at the Hamilton Princess but this is leagues above in terms of quality of the accommodation and facilities. This review is long overdue so unsure if she still works there, but Danielle at reception was amazing to deal with. We will certainly be staying there again when next in Bermuda. Highly recommend.

In doing research for our honeymoon trip my biggest asks were rooms and views more interesting than standard hotels, service, and beach accessibility. I was truly blown away with Cambridge and how it’s gone above and beyond those asks. We felt right at home the minute we got onto the island but even more so being greeted by the front desk and all other service staff. They truly take service with a smile an extra mile. Staff is available for any and all questions we had and was incredibly helpful in setting up any reservations/taxis we needed. The on-site cycle and h2o sports staff were also excellent! Accommodations show their age, but are very well kept. The Deluxe Water View Room was gorgeous and I was impressed by the furnishings- much more interesting than the standard hotel room. The restaurant options onsite were excellent and we enjoyed all the food and drink options we had. Definitely do the Sunken Harbor Club one night for a finer dining experience and amazing drinks. Location is on the other side of the island from the airport but is close to the dockyard which will get you ferry’s to all central parts of the island like St. George and Hamilton. It also has some great restaurants. Lastly Cambridge has some great on-site beaches. Morning Beach and Long Bay are two of the small beaches we frequented on our trip and they’re both excellent and clean. Loungers could be more updated but I was personally not bothered by them. In all I’d say Cambridge far exceeds a lot of the other resorts we looked into- I wouldn’t hesitate to book again for our next trip!

Had a wonderful experience here for our elopement and honeymoon! Our suite was beautiful, clean, and felt very private. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the event coordinator Nadja who really went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was special and that everything went perfectly. There was so much to do at the resort - great restaurants, beaches, pools, a spa, snorkeling, and kayaking. Although far from the airport and other spots on the island, we didn’t feel the need to venture outside the resort much. This is the perfect place for the relaxing, romantic getaway we were looking for. We took advantage of room service several times, it was always quick and dishes were picked up promptly (they asked that we call to let them know we were finished). We can’t wait to go back to Bermuda, and will definitely be staying at Cambridge Beaches again!

I’m in my mid-60’s with many holiday miles under my belt. I have grown accustomed to top flight accommodations, service, cuisine and amenities at properties that are classified as luxury. Our recent 4 night stay at Cambridge Beaches in Sommerset was enjoyable…but I do have some comments: *Firstly, we had two adjoining rooms that, although comfortable, could definitely use a freshening…including (but not limited to) some structural work around the base of the sliding glass door (leading to the patio) to keep the ants at bay. In-room entertainment options limited at best and furniture needs updating. Wait and service staff all very friendly…but unwilling to go the extra mile. Perhaps unknowingly. Great service should be a seamless experience for the customer, with reasonable requests outside the norm delivered with a smile. My wife tells me my expectations are too high. That may be…but I would like to point out: housekeeping left our room trash cans full for two days before we brought it to their attention Food was delicious at Sunken Harbor and Breezes but wine lists, especially at Breezes, need attention. Setting is beautiful and the old feel of the place, special. Overall, an enjoyable visit.

Went here for a friend's wedding and it was perfect! Although a bit hot on the patio, it was a gorgeous setting and the food was AMAZING. I've been to a lot of weddings where the food is so-so but I loved the food here. It was incredible. The views were amazing as well. I loved the small beach to see the sunset. We should've stayed here instead of where we did.

First we thought we’d be isolated but this resort is amazing with at least 2 great beaches to choose from. The pool/ocean deck chairs are limited but end April there were 2 or so open throughout the day. The restaurants were excellent and the bar - outstanding. The bartenders mix all their own juices and mixes so don’t expect “cranberry juice” - the bar is a real find. The staff are wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place - and we are glad we didn’t stay in Hamilton where beaches are a shuttle bus away!!

Just finished the most amazing 4-day stay at Cambridge with our two kids. I wish we could have stayed longer, but Cambridge is such a special place that you feel relaxed the second you step out of your taxi, so 4 days there feels as good as a week would someplace else. As others have said, the property is stunning and full of peaceful places to relax with a drink or a book and take in the view. It’s small enough to feel low-key and be able to navigate easily, but also big enough that there’s plenty to do and it’s easy to find a quiet spot where you feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. Our one bedroom water-view suite was incredible - gorgeous view and a really spacious floor plan for the 4 of us, plus sleeping with the sound of the water outside is just the best. The entire staff is really warm and helpful. Ann-Tene was great, helping us with restaurant reservations and taxis and Piare was very sweet with the kids at the restaurant. I was really impressed with the food and cocktail program throughout the resort. Dinner at the Sunken Harbor Club with a window table is a special treat. Will have to come back in the high season when Breezes is open for dinner, but we had a fantastic long lunch there with views of the bay. I don’t think you could find a better situated resort in all of Bermuda, with coastline on both sides and water views wherever you look. We especially enjoyed our day out on a motorboat from the H2O water sports center on site. Thank you so much to the whole staff at Cambridge for such a memorable trip! We can’t wait to come back! -The Hylton family

Wow! My husband and I came to Bermuda for the first time and stayed at Cambridge Beaches and our entire trip exceeded our expectations! The resort itself was bigger than we realized and looked even nicer in person. We stayed in a Deluxe Water View Room ("Bluebird") and it was very spacious and great proximity to reception and the restaurants. Every time we passed by staff, they kindly greeted us and smiled. The breakfast was amazing. I'm personally a breakfast person and the Eggs Benedict were phenomenal and the home made danishes and croissants were probably some of the best we've ever had! Dinner options were also yummy but pricey. During the day we ventured off the resort and walked various paths including the railway path. We felt very safe on the resort property and off. The afternoon tea with treats was also a lovely added touch! Overall we had a terrific stay and can't wait to return! Some staff that made our trip extra special included our driver, Kevin; the receptionist Kevin; Ambassador Mathew; servers Anthony, Piare, and Amit.

What a magnificent property - a gorgeous place to stay and enjoy Bermuda. Beautiful water views from all around the property. The room was wonderful and well appointed, with stunning views. The food at the restaurants was delicious (the burger was amazing! the steak was amazing!). The staff... super friendly and helpful. A delicious rum swizzle to welcome us at check-in. Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, putting green, basketball court and gorgeous beaches!

Great location on a great piece of property. Food was amazing as was the food service staff. Front desk manager a bit less than welcoming as noted by another reviewer - tough job being the front desk manager. Property not super well attended. Dishes were left around for hours in the indoor pool area for example, which is in need of some attention and oversight. Looks like they are trying to invest in upgrades, like the very nice new veranda off the restaurant. As noted in another review, yes kids are welcome here, which was fine with us. We also had an issue with party noise two nights. Quiet hours in the rooms may help. The place appears to have a great history and great potential.

Great view and beautiful cottages ..celebrating my daughter birthday in this most wonderful location of Somerset Bermuda...One staff was indeed very helpful and courteous April who came to sort out an issue and did it quite fast and was pleasant to the max. We had a splendid time and would recommend this hotel to all ..

I have given them 5 stars because they accommodated us so well. For such a busy island it was an escape. The private location set on a promontory was very beautiful even in February. The food was top notch and the service friendly and supportive. We very much enjoyed the Spa. Yes, a fair way from the airport, but close to great golf and the historic dockyards which we were keen to experience. And a quick ferry from Hamilton.

Been 10 times now and somewhat disappointed in most recent trip.front desk was maybe having a bad day as they were nowhere near welcoming especially for repeat guests.however all thr other employees were great as I have always remembered. New restaurant is not Bermuda, but a new York bar and restaurant had to order a drink from a book, could not even make a martini and yet touts itself as a NY bar..lost its island vibe.didnt care for the buffet night. Again not what I like or remember about Cambridge. Will hesitate to go back, ,new owners I don't think get it. But the people of Bermuda are great and the new airport is fantastic. Weekends on long bay crowded and loud as hell.dont remember that.

Beautiful resort with some of the friendliest staff I have ever met. Food in all the restaurants is really good. Sunken Harbour is outstanding. Like all of Bermuda this place is super expensive but no more so than the rest of the island.

The staff, the atmosphere is so beautifully relaxing. The staff are all lovely and welcoming! Feels like a home from home! Wonderful, relaxed but with fabulous effortless service. What’s not to like..

We spent last night here as our usual B&B was not available. We definitely will be coming back! The hospitality, accommodations and beauty of the property is what Bermuda is all about! Will see you next time Cambridge Resort and Spa, you earned a return visit(s).

We just had the most incredible vacation here. The rooms were huge and our view was amazing! The staff was so helpful and kind to our two little boys- offering legos at meals and even learning their names. The beaches are perfect for kids to play and parents to relax, because the water is shallow and calm. Everywhere you walk on the resort has an incredible view of turquoise waters. We only had one cloudy day, but there was so much to do for the kids we didn’t have to leave the resort! A green, tennis and basketball courts, and a scavenger hunt. Food was delicious. We will definitely be back!!
