Very good experience at Avecina Medical in Oakleaf. I went on a Saturday, late afternoon. My wait time was short, staff was friendly, office was clean and evident that they sanitize. Doctor had a pleasant manner, listened to my explanation of why I was there, and gave sound information on ailment and treatment. The prescription was quickly sent to the pharmacy of my choice and I was on my way. Much better experience than visiting my regular doctor’s office. Very pleased, glad I decided to try this urgent care center.

My daughter has always cried at her pediatrics office. She’s just never done well at them. But Dr. Mike and the nurses were so nice and welcoming. She didn’t cry, she interacted with them, and they made her feel so comfortable and were so happy around her. They gave off really great energy and I’m so thankful we chose them when she was feeling sick! 10/10 will always recommend them.

Was pleasantly surprised with the overall service! From the moment we got there, the front receptionists were kind and courteous. We got called in 5 minutes after filling out the initial forms. The Dr came in our room shortly after and treated us with nothing but patience and friendliness. He was thorough and answered our every question. Wish all urgent care facilities were like this one!!

Came in on Tuesday, paid $60, was given three scripts for upper respiratory infection. I didn’t get better. Now it’s Christmas Eve and I’m back, paying another $60, because I have Covid. They didn’t test me for Covid or Flu on Tuesday. I get there are rules, but you messed up on Tuesday, why can’t you just call something in for Covid? Why do I have to bring this sickness into their office, drag myself out of bed, and pay another copay when they misdiagnosed me the first time? Do better and diagnose people correctly the first time.

Always prompt when it comes to seeing patients. I've always received excellent care here. The doctors and staff are all very kind and show genuine care. I recommend this location to anyone. Wonderful option when you can't get into your PCP office

Edited due to response: I called the number… SHE REFUSED to answer MY CALL!!! Please read the review. I asked for the managers name & they didn’t even know the last name of their manager, that in itself speaks volumes. If my staff told someone that, all I need to know. They didn’t know when manager would be in either. Not to mention, I also had to correct YOUR mistake & Soend a hour on the phone to cancel the other place and get the new one reprocessed. HORRIBLE…. Besides the wait time for a 5 min consult. The receptionist, BRITTANY, is extremely rude and unprofessional! The PA CONFIRMED the pharmacy with me in the room. Of course it was Sunday and they closed early, never got my antibiotics. Called Mon, only to get told they sent to wrong place. No wonder! She refused to call me w Once called in to correct one. Pharmacy doesn’t always call as soon as they get it. Brittany refused! She said the pharm would call. I asked again to be please be called as soon as it was done ( seeing as how they messed up already and I am a day late starting it ). She said NO! THEN HUNG UP ON ME!! I tried to call back and SHE REFUSED TO ANSWER the phone. They made the mistake… rude! (Edited:to add..I see many reviews about rude front staff… shame. )

Well, I chose this place because of the high ratings, but dear God, did I have to wait a ridiculously long time to be seen and no follow up at all. I scheduled my appointment at 8:40, checked in online to make everything easy, and there were only 3 people in the lobby. 7 scheduled and 4 walk-ins. Everyone was seen before me. People who walked in after me and people who had an appointment after me. Not sure what their processes are, but this is crazy. I finally got pulled in at 9:30 and I'm told there are still 2 people ahead of me. I'm assuming that Courtney was the only NP in or something. That is the only reason I can think of. They swabbed me for flu and COVID. Said 10 mins. Took 20. Finally left 10:13.

They are always so helpful! We are a very busy family and can’t always get into our PCP. They never disappoint and we always feel well taken care of by their Provider Mike!

I was able to have my son seen on very short notice and only an hour before the clinic closed. Every person I interacted with there, from the receptionists to the doctor, was very compassionate, patient, and kind. They really went above and beyond to help my son feel cared for and valued. Even though he was feeling unwell, they were able to get a laugh out of him a few times and made sure he didn't leave without a small, Halloween goodie bag. I'm so glad we found Avecina and we'll absolutely be trusting them with our urgent care from here on out.

I have been here several times and they are amazing. I took my kid in today and they did a FULL work up and took the time to listen and answer all my questions. Greatly appreciate Courtney Sweeting and nurse Rebecca, just amazing!!

Excellent Urgent Care Clinic! Everyone was friendly, kind, helpful and professional. Jessica, who did my exam was very thorough, knowledgeable and caring. My questions were answered and she eased my concerns, sending me home with the prescriptions and information I needed for recovery.

I have never had such an awesome experience at an urgent care facility in my life. We are visiting from North Carolina and desperately needed our daughter seen so we showed up a few minutes after they opened, had no issues with paperwork, my daughter was seen within 30 minutes and we were out of the facility in less than an hour. I know it will not always be like that, but that was a bonus and worth noting. The staff was awesome and the PA (Michael Knight) was a God send! He came in and became a calming force for my daughter, he talked her through everything, and spoke to her as if she was family. I cannot say enough positive things about him. I was also expecting to spend my whole morning there and not get the full results that we did. Wow, what an amazing facility! This will be my number one place to go if needed when I am visiting this area again.

This was my first time at Avecina Medical - Oakleaf. There was a little wait time due to it being on a Saturday and a walk in appointment, but was so worth the wait. The staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Mike was amazing, took the time to listen to my concerns and was able to prescribe meds to make me feel better right away. I am thankful to have this wonderful care clinic in Oakleaf. Highly recommend. Thank you!

This office, the staff, and the doctor are all wonderful. The office was clean and tidy. The staff were kind, friendly, and professional. Dr. Mike is such a kind, compassionate soul. The location is convenient, and they were open on a Saturday afternoon which was exactly when I needed them. I can't say enough good about my experience. The Oakleaf Avecina is definitely my first choice for an urgent care. When you're sick or hurt, this is the place you want to be.

Quick and efficient check in. Pay attention to the QR code and do your check in online if you don’t have an appointment. It’ll save time. Stopped in while on vacation for a pinched nerve and from check in to check out took less than an hour and there were over 10 people ahead of me. Super Target across parking lot for pharmacy made for quick and easy prescription pick up

The staff were great with my daughter. The young lady that handled my daughters testing Rose was exceptional and very caring and attentive to my daughters needs as she is very shy and uncomfortable around those she’s not familiar with. Thank you for taking such great care of my baby girl for me. We will definitely be coming back if other issues arise.

At 75 yrs old I have experienced medical attention from various providers and Avecina Medical at Oakleaf town center is the perfect model of patient care. The moment you enter you notice a team effort to help you, and if you couple that with their very friendly persona and professional assistance they are the place to go ... period.

Any doctor can extend your prescription by law. The owners don't allow these doctors to extend antibiotics for an extended week, even though it is recommended through the CDC to allow two weeks of doxycycline if it appears that the infection is slow responding. This is just another example of the declining quality of health care in the United States. We are rated between forty and fifty behind health care compared to other countries. We overpay three times more because of billing fraud and corruption within for-profit health insurance companies. Otherwise, all of the people are nice in the office. In response to your reply. It is what the abused patients would expect from the United States health care for profit would expect, but it would be decent and legal for you to do the right thing. Patients beware! It is going to get even worse.

First visit with this provider. We were very pleased. Check in to check out took less than an hour. My son was very impressed with Doctor. We will return when needed.

I was very pleased at the medical attention given to me on my first visit here. From the time you enter (front desk welcome you) to the end of your visit everyone was very friendly, professional and caring. Elizabeth took my vitals and was very sweet and attentative. I saw the PA Mike who was extremely professional and very caring and kept apologizing for my mishap which brought me to the office. Rose took my X-rays, very sweet and professional also. Upon leaving after being treated the girls at the front desk both made a point of saying goodbye and have a nice day. I felt relieved after the office visit and would certainly return in the future if I had to any other medical concerns come up.

This is the best walk-in clinic! The staff is so efficient and friendly. Even if they're busy checking a patient in they greet you with a "hello and we'll be with you in just a minute." Doctor Knight is great! He wants to help you feel better as soon as possible. He is very soft spoken and has a great personality. I have even taken my grandchildren to Avecina when they became sick during their summer visits with us. I can't say enough kind things about this clinic.

Absolutely great staff. Wait was not that long especially for being a walk in. The ladies at the front desk answered all questions with a smile. Great GREAT staff.

Came here based on reviews, and glad we did! Cheaper self-pay price, got diagnosed correctly, and had antibiotics sent to our preferred pharmacy. Quick, efficient and Dr. Mike was friendly, informative, and genuine. We will definitely be going here for any future visits.

One of the best experiences I've ever had at a clinic. I made an appointment online and was seen within minutes of checking in. The staff was more than welcoming and very empathetic. The Dr. was caring, professional, personable and took the time to explain everything to me. I didn't feel like I was being rushed or a 'bother' like most urgent care clinics I've been to in the past. I will be recommending Avecina to my friends and family!

I was able to walk right in and get seen quickly. Our whole time there was probably less then an hour. A few days before this I had to take my son to Care spot and we waited for 3 hours before we were even seen. I will not be going back there again but will choose Avecina for sure. It was a relatively painless process and the short wait time was amazing.

The staff here are the most helpful and respectful staff ever. I called a few times before arriving and even on the phone they were very helpful. I would recommend everyone to come here for their needs as well as their children. They have an easy process to be able to check you in so you can see how many people are ahead of you. They make sure they take care of your needs and try and get you out as quick as possible. GREAT STAFF!!!

This establishment deserves far more than 5 stars. I’ve been a nurse in Missouri since 2000 (prior to moving here) and worked many places. The staff here is by far professional, kind, knowledgeable with little to no wait times. Thank you to all of the staff that cared for me today! God bless you all!

The entire clinical staff were calming, caring, professional, skilled, and confident. This wasn’t a great day for me but they definitely made it much easier for me to get through. I’m very much NOT a fan of the self-check-in (or self-service anywhere); I recommend bringing the human interaction back to patient check-in whenever possible. I don’t seek acute healthcare because I want to do any of the appointment for myself.

Awesome staff, very professional and pleasant. From the time I went through the door, did paperwork and was seen and out the door in about 35 minutes! Just a really nice experience! From the staff to the doctor very professionally sound and very caring! Awesome facility that I highly appreciate and recommend!

I was very impressed with the way I was able to go online and schedule an appointment and fill out all my paperwork. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and only had to check my paperwork and sign then I was in the room. Waiting for the doctor. All the staff was amazing and friendly. I was very pleased with the service. I will for sure use them again in the future if need be.
