Third time visiting and 3rd time being treated rudely by the staff from the get go. Walked away this time. Such a shame because the bagels are pretty good. There is no excuse for being rude to a customer that is being polite to you. We will never go back. Update: Well, never say never. We’ve given Sun Base another try and I’m not sure if it is under new ownership or something, but the experience was great and food delicious. Staff was friendly and responsive. Glad to have this as an enjoyable breakfast option here in Palm Coast!

This is a hidden gem. Staff friendly and attentive. Cooks do a great job serving up home style food. Bagels excellent. You can get a kaiser roll here. Great for a breakfast sandwich. They even have real home fries that you can get with onions and peppers. Other places just serve fried potatoes and pass them off as home fries. Omelets and french toast like home. Burgers deluxe. If you're from the northeast, you know what I mean 😏 Portions are nice without being excessive. Love this place and staff. Maybe some reviewers like staff to fawn over them or they came in with an attitude. Can't see how anyone would not enjoy eating here over the chain places.

The bagel sandwich was super fresh. You can feel that it’s a family place. A wonderful spot to grab some affordable breakfast if you’re in town.

Been going here for years. Today there was no familiar faces working. Man in back cooking and 3 young lady's. The place was not full, there was plenty of empty tables. None of the staff greeting our party of 4, there was at least 2 tables empty that needed to be bussed and wiped down. We sat and waited almost 10 minutes before anyone came by. The young lady made no eye contact and seemed uninterested in waiting on any table. While we gave drink order, she started to walk away and had to ask her to come back and finish what was just our drink order. She Took longer then expected for her to come back and have to ask several times for either silverware to stir coffee and creamer which came at separate times, again after asking more then once. She then left not to be seen for another easy 15 minutes. We decided to leave, I walked to counter and had to ask someone to pay. I had to tell them what drinks we had, and was charged over 12 dollars for 1 coffee, 1 hot tea and 2 ice teas and yes I understand the service industry. This was just poor service and poor staffing.I've been coming here for years and never had service like this there.

The only reason why I give it a 4 star is because the other subs were ok! The Italian and ham sub was good. But if you like roast beef don't order it there! A pale brown bland either at it's due date or past it?! Not good roast beef! It could be a low end roast beef too?!

Tried giving this place multiple chances but even something so simple as a bacon egg and cheese can’t come out right especially for 10$ lol. Either it’s so salted that I feel like I’m biting down on a rock or it’s bacon burnt. Won’t be going back.

Food is always on point along w/the ladies, just wish they would update the place. Update location and get 5 stars from me personally

We are locals and are taken in at how great the service and food are at this establishment. They have a strong family vibe and we feel welcome at every visit. Their homemade crumb cake and Italian Sub are my favorites.

Awesome place for a nice and filling breakfast. Staff is very kind and quick to serve. Also the food is very yummy; Mmmmmm so good.

Unfortunately we use to love coming here but the last few times the breakfast sandwiches cost more and getting less product on them ordered bacon egg and cheese seems like I basically got a bagel hope they get better with this

Read positive reviews so went for the dozen bagels to take home. All of our guests loved them so will be going back in future! Did read a sign that suggests ordering bagels the day before to Ensure You Get What you want. Will do that next time!

Will not be returning here. We had high hopes because of the great reviews but unfortunately the food was not good. Both mine and my wife's bagels were very dry/hard. As for the home fries, my wife requested cheese and to be fried harder/crispy. That didn't happen. Honestly it felt like I was eating leftovers. Nothing tasted fresh. No way are bagel supposed be that dry.

This is our 2nd time here and the food and staff are awesome. My friend and I love this place and will be back again.

The food is consistently fresh and tasty, with a great selection. The service is also excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who are always happy to help.

tried to give this place a second and third chance. ordered corn beef hash and it looked like my dasher ate some of my corned beef bc they don't seal the boxes with a tamper sticker or anything. today I order a Bacon egg and cheese croissant and it's just egg on a croissant. they can't be bothered to make things right for their customers and I'm over giving them my money.

Best breakfast ever, can't wait to go back for the best chicken salad I have ever had.

very good place for breakfast , prices are fair and its the closest thing in florida that i found that has a bacon egg and chees salt pepper and ketchup (all one word) very good one of the few places i go to every time im in flordia

Been coming here over 25 years. True Palm Coast classic Bagel spot. Same cheap price ,but quality wood. I come here at least twice a week.

2nd and last time coming here. We ordered old reliable eggs over easy home fries and turkey sausage. We asked if they had turkey sausage as my husband can't digest pork. She brang us the food we ate, now 2 hours later he's sick and keep tasting pork. We could had ordered something else if they didn't have it. Now all day I'm gonna be making sure he doesn't get food poisoned if it wasn't pork that was served to us uncooked.

I went to SUB Base & Bagel Place on Saturday August 20, 2022. I ordered 1 onion bagel and 2 everything bagels. When I went to serve them to my family to my SURPRISE and DISAPPOINTMENT the everything bagels were Lenders Bagels. You know the precut bagels you can get at Wal Mart for $2.99 a bag. I called the store and asked why I was given Lenders bagel when on the menu it states " Fresh New York Style Bagels Daily.... The Real thing"? I was told we serve all kinds of bagels. If a want a hard kind I have to ask for one. ?????? Never have I ever asked for a certain brand of bagel here before. It's a shame that they have changed what they serve I really like the old way. Guess I'll be going to wal mart for bagels.

I've been going here since they opened and love it every time. An intimate family-owned restaurant with great NY-style (dense & delicious) bagels along with plenty of other breakfast options. Whenever we're in town, we pop in at least twice, if not three times each visit.
