Great table service with delicious Italian cuisine! My favorite was their house salad lol I ended up buying a bottle of their dressing! Their portions are very generous as well!

Delicious! I’ve been dining at Sal & Judy’s for 40 years and have never had a bad meal! I love EVERYTHING on the menu, especially the sauteed crab claws, seafood cannelloni and veal Parmesan. The service is friendly, atmosphere is relaxed and the food is impeccable! HIGHLY recommend!

Oh my! The food was great. You can tell that they use very fresh, high quality ingredients. Best crab claw appetizer ever. The cheesecake is fabulous. We ordered lasagna and broiled seafood platter. You will need a reservation though.

Sal and Judy's is an institution that stands the test of time. The cuisine is a mix of Sicilian and Creole - though I'd recommend going for the Sicilian dishes. Heavy gravies and large portions. Service is always top notch. Worth the drive if you like hearty Italian food, and you'll be sure to take some home for leftovers! Also, get the crab claws!

Busy Friday night. We managed to sit even without a reservation. Food was amazing, service was great.

Such A Terrible Place To Eat. Service was very poor. Food was cold when served. People were very negative and rude. All the food is very over priced. Never coming back here again and you could not pay me too either. Floors were dirty. And don't try complaining it will do no good.

Great service and excellent food. The fine dining was wonderful. If you like home cooked meals this is the place for you. I enjoyed everything that we ordered. I recommend the calamari appetizer It's very authentic and very Italian

The food and service are wonderful. Very nicely executed Italian food. I had the veal stuffed cannelloni and highly recommend it. We will be eating there more often. Dress was casual dressy if that makes sense. Perfect wine parings with our meal.

Some of the best food I've had in my life (and I'm a life-long New Orleans resident.) Trout Meuniere was excellent. Crab Meat Au Gratin was first rate. Green Beans were a tasty side. Even the salad was good with the house creamy Italian dressing with croutons and Bleu cheese crumbles. Topped it all off with an awesome cheesecake. (Was not a fan of the oyster-artichoke soup, though.) Highly recommend!

Busy! We had reservations for 7:30 but we had to wait still almost 30 minutes. Other than that, the atmosphere is homey, you can tell a lot of locals and regulars go there. Food is delicious. The crab claw apps is a must. The red sauce is great. Recommend!

This is such a NOLA throwback restaurant. The absolute best panned veal and eggplant. Calamari appetizer was delicious. Every meal seems to come with generous mixed grean salad with a dressing so heavenly it must be illegal. And did I tell you about the bread?! Charming place where chef Sal still comes out of the kitchen and checks on each table. Each meal feeds at least two, but get your own so you can have lunch for the next day. Oh, and make a reservation.

The food was very good and came out hot. The service was slow. The bus girl and guy helped us more then the waiter. They had a roach going up the wall. The writer told us we can't have that and walked away. The bus boy came and got the roach. Waiter did not tell us about the specials we had to ask. Then he ran them off so fast didn't know what he said. Don't need to spend that kind of money for that service. Not going back there any time soon.

All I’m saying is if you haven’t eaten at Sal & Judy’s at least once…you just aren’t living my friend!! And if you’ve been once, it’s never enough!! Some of the best Italian inspired food I’ve ever had (including when we were in Italy for 2 weeks!!!). On top of that, it’s always been family owned and operated. If you’re lucky Sal will make rounds while your there to say hello. Then when you’re hooked on their sauces, you can pick some up at a local grocery! Boom!!! Can’t wait to be back at my favorite table with my favorite people!!

What a great atmosphere! MAKE RESERVATIONS!! We went on Thu night and they were PACKED. The host assured us he get us seated as quickly as possible. A lovely couple who are regulars from over an hour away gave us pointers and tips ... and the wait seemed like just a few minutes. Our first time was fantastic and we plan to make it a regular spot when we anywhere close to Lacombe, LA.

After frequenting this place for over 40 years I can still say it's my favorite restaurant of all time. I have never sent anything back and have never been disappointed. The servings are so generous that I usually get 2 to 3 meals out of one dinner. The employees are great and Mr. Sal (who generally makes a pass through to check on everyone) is a legend! If you've never been, you're really missing out. But call ahead for reservations as they fill up very fast.

I wish there were 10 stars to give this restaurant. Hands down, the BEST restaurant on the North Shore and perhaps even the South shore. Clean, friendly, accommodating and Superb food. The waitstaff is phenomenal. Priced affordable and absolutely some of the best food that will ever cross your lips. We have eaten here for over 25 years and never been disappointed.
