We had an excellent stay at the Bischoff Inn in May 2023! Originally built in 1870 as the Bischoff Furniture Factory, the building has been carefully restored as a 5-bedroom inn and updated with modern amenities. I really loved the original hardwood floors, exposed brick, and antique furniture. We stayed in the Bischoff Junior Suite and were pleasantly surprised with how large and comfortable the space was. Def recommend it to others!

This little hotel is truly something special. The renovation is stunning and we loved the original details of the furniture building that were preserved. We traveled as a couple and the hotel was quiet and peaceful, which we appreciated. We stayed in The Bischoff Suite and it was very roomy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the coffee bar in the lobby. The main street is within walking distance to local shops and restaurants. We will definitely recommend.

Amazing boutique hotel just off downtown Tamaqua. The rooms are built in a way that preserve some elements of the factory that was here previously while also providing a modern, clean, comfortable living space. The hotel is decorated with fun art, books and textures. They also get all those important basics right: keyless check-in was seamless, water pressure is great, bed and sheets were comfortable, plenty of TV options, etc.

A stylish blend of old and new, the inn is cozy and welcoming. Both the owner and the inn keeper were eager to make our stay a pleasant one, and the upstairs suite was spacious and very quiet. My sleep was the best I had in weeks. The art throughout the building is in contrast to the antique furniture, but it provokes the thought and imagination. Most every amenity was provided. Is it not a bed and breakfast, so there is no food other than coffee, water, and basic snacks you can purchase to get you through the night — breakfast can be found elsewhere in town easily enough. Overall, a very pleasant stay and exactly what this progressive and evolving community needed.

Located only 20 min away from Jim Thorpe, this was the perfect place to stay while visiting the fall foliage festival. Away from the traffic of Jim Thorpe and in a quiet town with a few restaurants, this was centrally located and had convenient parking on the street outside. The inn really only has a few rooms, but it is basically brand new. The communal area is very nice and the first thing you see when you come in. They have a coffee machine, snacks, tea, and a fridge. Very limited interaction with innkeeper — they're available if needed but you don't need to check in with them. Entrance to inn required a unique passcode, so that was reassuring security-wise and a passcode was required to get into your room. The Bischoff suite was super large with a bed, pull out sofa, and bathroom. Everything was very clean and seemed brand new.

I love this Inn! The bed was comfy the environment was clean. I found the staff to be very helpful and professional. I had a little trouble with the door code but as long as you input it slowly it works. Love the coffee and the snacks and found the whole experience enjoyable. I will stay again

Our stay at the Bischoff Inn in Tamaqua, PA exceeded all of our expectations pertaining to comfort, convenience, easy access and quality. We will definitely be staying at the Bischoff on our next visit to the region. Jack, the Innkeeper, was extraordinarily helpful!!

My husband and I (Tamaqua native) visited for the June 2023 Summerfest and to see friends and relatives. Bischoff Inn is a great resource for Tamaqua visitors as there are no other accommodations in or near the town. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others with the understanding that it is not a full-service hotel, but a comfortable and unique Inn.

Stylish design - minimalist contemporary against the wonderful patina of exposed brick wall. Great pillows! The towels are a bit spartan.

Adorable boutique hotel with nice attention to detail...marrying historical and modern decor. An eco friendly stay.... No disposable toiletries or dishes. Linens feel very high end and soft. I'll have to come back for a longer stay in the future!

The inn was amazing - extremely clean, well-kept, and charming while still maintaining the character of the original building. The room was super spacious and had everything we needed after a day in Jim Thorpe. There is also an awesome communal area with snacks and a TV. What an amazing find, would 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Bischoff Inn is a hidden treasure in the northeastern mountains of Pennsylvania. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and quiet. The artsy decor in the room and common room added to the historical significance of the building. It’s situated in a residential neighborhood of Tamaqua which gave it a hometown feeling- not like you get in a busy hotel. It was the best night’s stay we have had anywhere.

What a fantastic little spot! The Bischoff Inn is a truly delightful stay: a beautiful location, knowledgeable innkeeper, and great building with lots of history! The rooms are comfy, cozy, and clean. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

We loved our experience at Bischoff! We enjoyed the gorgeous suite, and even had time to hang out and enjoy the common room with others who were staying at the Inn at the time. We loved the restoration of the space and learned quite a bit of history through reading and conversation. Really appreciated the vintage taste of the owners and the recommendations for what to do in town, we did activate them. Overall, quality stay, comfy and extremely clean rooms, great atmosphere. Will be back soon!

My wife and I got together with long time friends and Tamaqua’s Bischoff Inn was the perfect getaway. Easy booking, easy check in/check out. The common room was homey and made conversations easy. We walked to dinner at the Tamaqua Railroad Station. Such a relaxed atmosphere at The Bischoff Inn because of the beautiful restoration and capricious decor and artwork. Highly recommend.
