I was there for a Bar Trivia Playoff. Not a Comedy Show, just so I am being clear. It seemed like a fine layout. Menu featured a bunch of novelty cocktails that looked pretty gross to be honest. My team and I sat down and ordered drinks. Waters, Ice Teas, and Beers. Anything that wasn't a beer was served in a 12oz plastic cup about half filled with ice. So it was about 8oz of purchased fluid. One couple on our team ordered Ice Tea. There was nothing on the menu noting their refill policy, but when their cup was empty they asked for a refill. The waiter, said sure, and did just that. Unfortunately for them there are no refills here. We all know that Strip Clubs and Comedy Clubs operate a little differently than regular restaurants, but that's usually tied to the live entertainment. There was none at this time. We there for bar trivia. Well when the time came to settle up the couple was livid about being charged $5 for each cup with Iced Tea over a lot of ice. They asked to speak with the bar manager, and he tried to get her to relent, but she would not. After she walked away, I asked him what would have made him happy. He said if they comped two of the Ice Teas. Then he relented and said just one off the bill would have made him happy. I tend to agree. Our tab was not cheap, and we all knew what happened to them. So our party of 7 said we would not be returning. Which was a much different statement than we had at the beginning of the day. We were impressed by the place, and all said it might be nice to come see a show. Weird how a $5 - $10 dollar item can cost a place hundreds in potential future earnings. I hope this review gets a lot of reads to keep even more people from going. *** UPDATE *** I would like to make it clear that I was not the person speaking to the manager.

Came here to see Tony Rock. Comedy club is well setup and organised. Waitresses were great. Food took longer than expected but it was delicious.

What can i even say about magoobys? They have booked some of the best names and have some of the best events. I have seen Shane Gillis here before he blew up, Stavros, Matty Brown, just to name a few. Then you can see superstars like Louis Ck, Andrew Dice Clay, Pauly shore, Kurt Metzger, Dan soder, Sam morril, Mark Normand, and Big Jay Oakerson...the list goes on and on. Such a personal venue, it makes for the best atmosphere for comedy. Honestly i have never seen a bad show here. I will come here with my wife every couple months and will continue to do so. The owner seems like a really cool and reasonable person from what i have experienced🤙🏼 My favorite baltimore comedy club.

Great venue, good tiered seating, table service was great through the show. Easy in and out before and after. Food was good. Drink prices were great!

1st time here, awesome place! Drinks were pretty good. We had a excellent time, all the comedians were amazing, Matt was awesome. We went to see Rocky Dale Davis he was funny as hell. We will definitely be coming back. Their is a 2 item purchase minimum for every person so best to keep that in mind. Service was great Stephanie was on point. Great atmosphere

This was a great experience. The arena style seating means there are NO bad seats. Good sound, so I heard everything. The staff is attentive without being distracting. Wonderful drinks and yummy food to nosh on in between laughs and guffaws. Worth the drive and I am coming back!

We enjoyed some time at the Wits End bar prior to the show, which allowed us to skip the line to get in. The food and drinks were great, and the comedians were excellent (Brad Williams was the headliner).

I love coming here when I can to see a comedy show! Every show has been a hilarious experience, the tables and room are smaller but i have also been to a theater venue and I prefer a smaller atmosphere for comedy. Never seen a bad show here and the service is great for how many people they serve in low light. I will continue to come here and only here to see comics in the Baltimore area. 👍🏻

Super fun place for a date night. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and good. I wish it was closer so we could go more often

My experience the other weekend was horrible. The show was just about over by the time I received my food, which my chicken was not that great. Shrimp was good, need better fries. My server seemed a bit slow paced. In this type of atmosphere you have to speak up, be up- beat, and a mover and shaker. He was soft spoken, I think the other staff was running circles around him. Maybe other staff just kept taking the food before he could grab it. I spoke to another staff member and they brought the food out right away. On another note, I did not enjoy the atmosphere. Maybe I would have enjoyed this place if I had not been to another comedy club.. It just seemed very cold and dreary. The other place we visited has lights and music, while you wait for the show to start,made you feel like you were having a night out.

I have very much enjoyed my many nights at Magooby's Joke House. Top-notch comedians at a relatively large capacity venue but with an intimate feel. I have been treated very well by all staff and made to feel like a VIP whether sitting in the front row or at one of the tables amongst the tiered levels of seating. The food and beverage are served quickly and quietly and has never disappointed. The line to enter the facility is fun as the anticipation builds while chatting with the patrons and then ushered to your seats. Great way to end the work week and start the weekend.

Best place to get a good laugh! All the funniest comedians entertain in the best room in Baltimore. The acoustics are spot on so you can hear everything. The staff is super friendly as well. Highly recommend for your next fun night out!

Exceptional comedy house! Great venue, not too big, not too small! Great shows, atmosphere, food and drinks! Cannot go wrong with Magooby’s! Great gift idea for family! Customer service is phenomenal! Every town should have one—the world would be a better place if everyone could laugh more in such a perfect, classy professional environment!
