👍👍 The little things 20 years ago when I newly returned to the United States, I worked down the street from this nice little take out spot. Their food was good (delicious and always full) and the lady was always nice. Fast forward to today, I'm here on assignment in town and I happen to go to the same... People often mention good, wait, Chinese, chicken, time, order, fresh, delicious, portions, rice,

The little things 20 years ago when I newly returned to the United States, I worked down the street from this nice little take out spot. Their food was good (delicious and always full) and the lady was always nice. Fast forward to today, I'm here on assignment in town and I happen to go to the same place, met the same person and ate the same food. They are still as nice and the food is still good. Kudos!!!

Let me begin by saying, the woman who greets and gives me my food is very sweet and HILARIOUS. I heart her so much lol. As for the food: The streamed dumplings are HUGE and the pork is very very flavorful. No, it's not all dough. I usually get shrimp Mei fun which is loaded. I decided to try general tso.. The chicken was basically a small chicken tender. I had to cut it up. Very very delicious. Also, the containers are overstuffed. Call ahead to give them extra time. Well worth the wait, well worth the money.

Delicious food and very generous portions (literally bursting out of the to-go boxes!). Friendly staff and it was also a very nice gesture to include a small package of German chocolates around the holiday season. Happy holidays! ❄️🎄🧧🥠🥡

Start out with a thumbs up on the food tasting fresh. Thought I'd give them a try after reading some reviews that talk about them like legends, some people say they drive half way across the state to visit them. The portion size was pretty average. I didn't like the container they gave me as it was not reheatable container. I called my order in an hour in advance and when I arrived I still had about a 15 minute wait when I got there. They did not cook my order the specific way I asked it to be made.

The food and the ingredients are fresh. The food is made to order. The lady at the front desk was very nice and had a warm / welcoming personality. I enjoyed my meal.

Ordered for the 1st time and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered Pepper Steak and Orange Chicken, both came with pork fried rice and it was enough of sauce in each dish. Definitely wasn't dry and Definitely was delicious. We will be ordering again.

Great tasting shrimp fried rice. Pack the box the shrimps were just right not over or undercooked. Pleasant customer service and friendliness. Try it and you don't need any soy sauce. The rice is just right. Happy customer I was that day.

The food is of the highest quality, the freshest, the tastiest, the most generous portion and very reasonably priced. The owners are the most accommodating and friendliest people. This is the without a doubt the finest Chinese take-out restaurant in Baltimore County.

Food is incredible but the wait is forever. Whatever wait time they tell you, double it.

The best Chinese food we've had in the area. Always good, extremely consistent. Warm, friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Order ahead if you can - it can sometimes get quite busy.

Great spot! Very friendly, good vibes, seems like a neighborhood staple. Food was great, precisely what we had hoped for, and the portions were HUGE. Especially loved the crispy veg spring roll—it’s the exact spring roll you hope for at every restaurant but never get. Will definitely return when we’re back in the area.

The food was super fresh and delicious. The combo platter was an extremely generous sized portion. The chicken was identifiably white meat chicken and the breading to chicken ratio was in favor of the chicken. The woman working behind the counter was friendly. Cash is preferred.

This place might be a little off the beaten track but whats brings us back is the AWESOME meals we've had from them. We've lived in many places and hands down the China Moon Carry Out has the BEST SHRIMP FRIED RICE - EVER!!! And the containers are STUFFED! When everyone's watching what they spend this place is a GREAT VALUE! This is also the only place that we've dared to try something new and we've always been happy that we did! Cashew Chicken, House Lo Mien, Moo Goo Gi Pan, Singapore Chow Mai Fun, OH! Don't forget to GET EGG ROLLS!!!

I didn't get her name, but the lady that took my order was super friendly and inviting. A rare commodity these days. I ordered a hot and sour soup thinking it would be quick, but it took a little extra time and now I can see why! SO GOOD. I'm very impressed with this little hole in the wall place, but true to form it is 1 of the best!!

This is my go to place for Chinese carry out in the Timonium area. The food is fresh and tasty and has good vegetarian options too. The owner is a cheerful lady and always greets the customers with a smile. I would highly recommend China Moon for Chinese take out in this area.

The only place I order Chinese food, the owners are so sweet and hard working. I always leave with food enough for at least 2 days, and it’s always so flavorful. Forever has my heart and my stomach

I'll never eat here again food was not that good. ask for garlic sauce and got schezuan even told her again before making it twice. Prices are high for not putting carryout orders in plastic containers. You get it in a box with alot of liquid. They seem to think that this doesn't make mess in the bag. Also Terrible listener.

Took some time but the food was absolutely delicious. Lady behind the counter was so funny. New “go to” Chinese place. Boxes were filled to the brim and more! Absolutely worth the wait.

1st timer...egg rolls and sesame chicken...both simply delicious - and huge portions! Family owned and the folks are just delightful! I'll definitely be back...soon!

Real Chinese. Really good. The wait for the food is long because it’s made fresh. So expect to wait a little.

Great food. You can actually taste the seasonings. Good portions. Good prices. They prefer cash, but will accept cards. No dine in. Definitely set up for take out only.

Looking for good Chinese food this is a great place. The food is fresh and cooked to order. Call your order in if possible there is always a wait. This is a very popular little spot.

The best take-out Chinese food we have had in the area, but be prepared to WAIT for it! We’ve been three or four times and each time we’ve waited more than double the time they estimated — tonight at 7:40pm we were told it would take 40mins, it’s after 9pm now and we still don’t have our food yet! I wouldn’t mind waiting if the estimate is accurate but it’s not ever.

Friendly service. Huge portions, good value. Food was not the best but I'm satisfied. Moo shu pork was missing bean sprouts, egg, and mushrooms like I'm used too, probably wouldn't get it again at this location. Orange chicken, chicken chow mein, and soup all good. Busy on a Thursday at lunch. I paid in cash but saw others use card without issue. Took about 45 minutes from ordering to receive food.

I placed my order over the phone. The lady was happy and friendly. When I came to pick up my food she charged me a credit card fee of $0.65 without telling me but I didn’t say anything. Support small business :^) I ordered plain yat gaw mein and chicken fried rice. The yat was soo saucy ^_^ and the chicken was real white meat. <3 I saw the man pack my order in the back. From the stove to the box the food was piping hot and filled to the brim. I will be back next time and pay with cash $_$ Thank you for your service!!! xo

Extremely Rude. Having called now 2x after receiving recommendations from friends to try take out, we have had difficulty both times with the attitude of the individual answering the phone. The first time the employee informed us that they were out of cabbage and could not make any Mushu dish in a strong and aggressive tone after 4 unsuccessful calls (each call either rang unending or went to their fax machine). Today they hung up on us when we asked for additional condiments etc and were quoted individual prices instead of the cost of the total. From the start we were told 2 different prep times based on ordering other dishes vs. Mushu (Mushu taking 15 min longer). Then during the conversation we simply attempted to do the math of the bill outloud (4 mushu pancakes at .75/pancake = $3.00) and the employee yelled at us that because they have to pay for items we have to pay for items. When we explained that we were perfectly understanding and that was fair, we just wanted to do the math of the cost as we ordered we were hung up on.

Timonium location on Ridgely Road. Ordered Sesame Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and Eggroll. Just this past week. Wasted $11.60 w/tax. Did not even resemble or taste like real Chinese food.. I've had better out of a Trader Joes frozen bag. Pork Fried Rice was literally white rice with something light brown sparingly splashed on it to make it look somewhat brown. Under the top layer it was all white rice. No pork, no onions, no other veggies or dried cayenne pepper bits, no egg bits, no sesame oil, not even fried. Overcooked and mushy. ZERO FLAVOR. YUCK. Chicken was actual store bought frozen fried chicken nuggets with a small amount of very bland sauce on them to make them look like Chinese food. Just sprinkled raw sesame seeds on top. No tempura batter. Not crispy. ZERO FLAVOR. YUCK Eggroll smelled like a Lancaster county cow barn in the heat. Not crispy, No vegetables inside and Cabbage smelled spoiled. ZERO FLAVOR. YUCK Non of it was edible after first bite. I have eaten Chinese food 100s of times, at chains and stand alones, all over the USA and this was, by far, the worst inauthentic and tasteless rendition I have ever had. If you Marylanders give THIS place five stars, I cant even imagine how bad the other places are. The owners should invite their relatives to eat it and see what they say about it.

Delicious food, best Low-Mein I've had in a long time, very generous portions! They're usually pretty busy so make sure you order your pickup in advance.

China Moon was my parents "go to" carry out when I was a teenager. We picked up dinner earlier this week and the taste of the food brought back so many find memories. Nothing fancy about the location, however the food is amazing!

China moon is a small location not for dine in but mainly for take out. I don't believe they do delivery because they have minimal staff. The service can take a while when there's a lot of people ordering from here so order early and bring cash. The food is always the best it can be. I get shrimp toast and pork fried rice. It's the best pork fried rice in all of Maryland. People come here from round the beltway so definitely stop by if you're in the mood or even if you're not. It's good food and foods good for you.

The food is fresh and delicious. The wait is always longer than expected, but it's worth it. Just budget for extra time. Cash is the expected payment method. But after a few orders they will know you buy name and order. Definitely a great local family owned business. Highly recommended.

Best Chinese place in the area the food is always fresh and hot. One thing always call ahead or you will have quite a wait, busy establishment the food is that good!

Me & my Bf love this place & our girl May! Now I will say sometimes on the weekend the wait can be a bit excessive because it’s just 2 of them. But the food is soo good. The best shrimp egg foo young I’ve ever had! We eat here often. Try them out 🤗 - Tea

Let me start by saying I don’t care how long they make me wait, the food is worth waiting up to 2 hours for! The portions are beyond friendly and everything always tastes fresh and isn’t greasy at all. I think it’s a mother and son duo who does everything, and they’re popular in the area so cut them some slack if they fall behind. The woman is so beyond kind and happy, if you do have to wait a while she’s so apologetic, and you can tell that she means it. We drive an hour for their food and will continue to do so.
