I don't typically leave reviews, but this event was so terrible I felt the need to try and warn others. We paid $97.00 for two tickets to see King Tut, not to mention $10.00 to park. Complete waste of money and time. The show started at 6:30pm and we were back in our car going home before 7:00pm. You are in a large room where you sit on a small hard bench that is barely big enough for two regular sized people. The movie they play is less than a half hour long and you learn absolutely nothing about King Tut. It is just a made up story about his journey through the under world. The graphics are not even good and seem to have been made by children. The story also did not make sense and was pointless. It is criminal what they charge for this event. We were so excited for this and were let down. I will never go to any of these immersive events ever again. If I would have known to check the reviews for Lighthouse ArtSpace Detroit I would have never purchased the tickets. They trick you because you purchase the tickets through the Immersive King Tut website. I feel bad for the people who brought their children and probably paid hundreds of dollars for this event. Save your money and take them to something worth while.

DISNEY ANIMATION IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE REVIEW: * TL;DR: Do not recommend. Nothing like what they show on the website - NOT worth the exorbitant price * My husband and I took our 3 year old. I paid for premium tickets with "flex" in case we needed to reschedule. Total cost was: $211.26 (not including parking once we got there). The website shows a truly immersive experience with multiple rooms to explore, bubbles and other effects - this is not the case at the Detroit location. There was 1 room to look at with a few rotating clips prior to entry into the main show, it was mildly entertaining but not much to explore there. Our tickets were for 10:15 am, we were let into the main room at 10:10, show started at 10:30 and lasted for about 50 minutes. It is just ONE square room where everyone sits on the floor (there are maybe 6-8 small benches available if you are first in line). No bubbles, nothing other than the projections and you sit on the floor the entire time. It is nothing like what you see on their website or advertisements. The projection is on the 4 walls and floor and it shows you clips from Disney movies, usually with one wall as the focal point. It is not impressive. Premium tickets include a fairly useless cushion to sit on, bracelets that light up different colors occasionally during the show, and a poster to take home which is ugly and just a waste of paper (in other words, "premium" is a useless gimmick). My 3 year old was moderately entertained and got up to dance to a few songs, but compared to what you see on their website (what you *think* you are paying for), the projection show is entirely underwhelming and just not good. I wish I would have known before I paid so much money as a special treat for my family.

I’m not normally one to write reviews (good or bad) for anything, but I feel so strongly about this experience that I am compelled to write this review, if only to prevent people from wasting their time and money on this. My whole family bought tickets to the King Tut Immersion experience (VIP at $29/each). The “experience” was a SINGLE room (about the size of a college classroom?) with a single film which played for about 20 minutes. And yes, that is. I’m not leaving anything out. And that was $29. Borderline criminal charging those fees. Please don’t waste your money on this; save it for an actual museum.

This place is cool, it was a total of maybe 30 minutes. definitely not worth the price though. Not like the real immersive van gogh that my friends visited when it existed in grand rapids. 2nd and third floor had the same projection, just different room. Over priced items in store. Can’t say ill go to the ongoing king tut experience.

Don't do it. I took my husband as a birthday/Christmas gift. We were both so excited because we love learning about Egyptian history. We didn't really know what to expect, but we both agreed it was very underwhelming. They scanned our ticket and let us go up to the galleries. When we walked up we were asked by 3 other staff members if our ticket had been scanned...it all seemed very unorganized. We went to the 3rd floor. It was a big room with 10 benches spaced around the room. We were lucky enough to get a bench, but ended up giving it up to an elderly couple. We sat against a wall, which an employee told us we had to move away from...but as the room filled up other people were allowed to sit there. The show started, we couldn't hear it because the sound was so bad, but there were captions. It's a 20 minute, fictionalized, terribly animated video about Tut's trip to the afterlife. And if you're sitting against a wall you cannot see all of the animations. I was really disappointed. I feel like they really missed the boat with this. It could have been an awesome walk through with better animation. Instead it was a poorly done video. I feel like all of the visitors walked out of there disappointed. Maybe if tickets had been $10 I might not be so upset, but we paid way more than that. And people bought vip tickets to RENT a teeny Lil cushion seat. I felt so bad for the families that were there that probably spent hundreds on this disappointing short film. Bottom line, not worth the money!

Our family recently went to the Van Gogh experience and had a great time. Although we were a little late (2 minutes), seating was no problem (weekday, so that may have helped). Not overly crowded. We were encouraged to linger to see what we missed. What an unexpected gift. Personally, although this may not have been at a museum (DIA) quality level, our whole family enjoyed the experience. The art project was enjoyable and the silhouettes of other patrons, we all felt, became part of the art. Not once did we feel our space in which we experienced the show was impeded by others. Every single staff member we encountered was kind, cheerful and beyond helpful. As a first public outing since going through treatment, I felt secure and cared for as I navigated with mobility issues. Thank you so very much to your staff. Please know that even if they have to wade through those who lack patience or appreciation of their efforts, the three of us who attended just before Thanksgiving 2022 appreciate them.

This was so so disappointing. I went to the Van Gogh immersive experience at cobo hall and that was amazing!!! So I was so excited about this Van Gogh exhibit. I paid $127 for a 35 minute looped video. They tell you to see the main exhibit on the third floor then the second floor hosts the other exhibit which is literally the exact same video but is a “ little different” 🤔 seriously I wish I could get a refund. We were so disappointed don’t waste your money

Saw the Klimt immersive experience today. It was very impressive and well done. Not all the paintings were included unfortunately but still worth it. My only complaint would be that the music didn’t flow very well. There were sudden changes. Just compared to the Van Gogh experience where the music was spectacular. Would definitely recommend.

Went to the King Tut immersive experience, save you money, buy a book and a good bottle of wine you’ll be further ahead and more enjoyable. The whole thing only lasted about 45 minutes, the graphic and storyline were at best amateurish. You were expected to sit on the floor to “enjoy “ this presentation, but they did provide a seat cushion. The VIP experience was absolutely no different than the cheapest ticket, the poster that was supposed to be received at the end was out and a bag was substituted, likely a better value but not what was stated. This was the worst experience in quite a while, expensive and underwhelming.

Great family outing! So much Disney packed into one building. Several photo ops interactive 360 degree projection show! There's galleries to walk through and even a place to draw Disney characters. Our family had a blast! An amazing time for Abby Disney fan!!!

We visited for the Immersive Disney. It was a little pricey, but an awesome experience. Just a head's up...as of right now, they don't accept cash, you have to pay with a credit card.

Great for families. Fun event to go to. The show goes pretty fast. Was enjoyable watching new and old movie clips with recognizable songs. I am happy I went but just feel the entertainment value and proce point do not match. I'd be much happier with lower ticket prices!

Had an amazing time at the Immersive Disney Animation. Was totally worth it!! If you are a Disney fan at any level and any age, this event is a must see!! It was non stop goose bumps tears and laughs. My wife and I are 50+ and we felt like kids....well...that is the Disney magic. 😉

Attended the Disney Animation: Immersive Experience and we LOVED IT!! We came as a large group of 20+ people consisting of multiple families. The staff were very professional and friendly. They explained the process of visiting the different galleries prior to the show to see how the animation is made, as well as practice a little drawing. They also had a small gift shop for purchasing items as well (either on the way in or on the way out), which was fairly high priced but had cute items. The show itself was fairly similar to a 3d/4d theater on a 360 degree canvas. The show was highly entertaining, visually appealing, and extremely enjoyable. I definitely recommend it for kids/families/or Disney fans. The floor was even interactive!! When you walk, the leaves or stars scatter or move, which the kids loved. There were points during the show when regular bubbles were released and even a type of bubble that when popped released like a smoke-which was a really cool effect. Please try this show out. The kids and I really, really enjoyed it!! I give it 5 ✨'s!! ☺️

🎨 Recently visited Lighthouse Art Space in Detroit and it was quite the surprise! My husband treated me to an immersive Disney experience, and let me tell you, it was absolutely magical! 🏰💫 While it's definitely more geared towards kids, we still enjoyed the experience and had a blast! 💰 Luckily, we were able to snag a deal on our tickets because, to be honest, we wouldn't have wanted to spend the original price of $80 per person. 💸 But with the discounted rate, it was definitely worth it for the unique and immersive Disney experience. 🎉 All in all, we had a fantastic time at Lighthouse Art Space and will cherish the memories created there! Thank you, hubby, for the unforgettable surprise! ❤️🎉 #LighthouseArtSpace #ImmersiveDisneyExperience #MagicalMemories #DateDaySurprises

Over the past year, I've been to two immersive experiences (Van Gogh - pics 1 and 2, King Tut - pics 3 and 4) and enjoyed both. Tickets were a bit pricey but it wasn't any different than the cost of going to a sit down restaurant or a baseball game. I would likely go back for another immersive experience in the future.

Good fun. A nice little experience if you are or were ever a fan of Disney. Great for the kids also! They did a pretty good job putting everything together.

We seen the Van Gogh immersion and exhibit flowed quickly but the music was lovely and complimented the show. I wish I had been aware of the game going on because the parking and traffic was congested. The building itself was impressive.
