I'm not even sure where to start. I went to this hospital because I was feeling awful. I had a molded ceiling fall on me at work, and ever since then I have been throwing up, hallucinating, have a really high fever, and I can't stop sleeping. Anyway, I went to this hospital in hopes to get some tests done and boy was I wrong. The nurse was great, intake was great, but the doctor was a joke. He never even examined me. He recommended a "homeopathic" remedy and said he would be back to discharge me. Well, I LEFT. I waited 30 minutes no one came so I just left. Please consider going somewhere else.

My wife was in the emergency waiting room for over 8 hrs. They called her back for X-ray and sent her back to waiting room. After 5 more hrs we inquired about the results and they then told her the dr looked at X-ray and said nothing was broken and was irritation under the skin and said they were gonna discharge her and never seen a dr once so we just left. Went else where and found out she has in fact a torn ligament. This place is a joke and always has been just because it changes name for profit doesnโ€™t mean they fire the dead beats to include dr.โ€™s/ nurses, Itโ€™s very obvious they still work here. Bare the pain and go to Columbia.

My elderly mother was rushed to this hospital only to sit in their waiting room for hours. After she was triad they sent her to wait right back in the waiting lobby. When she was finally able to seen by the doctor and get treated they had her medicine mailed to her. Sadly, it was time sensitive medicine that she should of taken immediately and he had it mailed to her. Unfortunately, she was unable to take the medicine because she didnโ€™t receive it early enough. They sent an elderly woman home sick without her medicine!!! This place is horrible and an absolute disgrace. I would never come here for treatment. This hospital needs serious help with their staff and more training.

Had a relative on the third floor progressive unit, and swear the nurse support on that floor is just sad, some nurses are very nice and the better ones seem to be at night but they don't hardly check up on your relative nearly enough. You call for any assistance it takes them forever to come down there, I mean couple hours sometimes, don't get them on shift change cuz they'll just sit around do nothing for an hour before the shift is ended. I recently called them to help change my parent out because they had wet the bed, they end up not finishing the job and leaving her soaked and urine and I know they got a lot going on but you just don't treat people that way. Some nurses are very good but I don't think enough of them actually are trying stay busy helping. It's very inconsistent with the service there even the Food Services inconsistent where they don't bring you the stuff that they even have checked off on their ticket. And the doctors are very nice but they don't really seem to want to take the effort to determine if an elderly person is coherent enough to make decisions on their own, they just seem to want to make whatever effort they can to get them out, it's just sad situation even though they changed the musc, it is not gotten a lot better

If I could give yall a ZERO I really would!!! The absolute worst hospital I've ever had to be in MUSC hasn't changed anything about this hospital infact it seems to be worse the staff is nasty their is literally people in the waiting area that's been here having strokes and breathing issues with family having to show out to even get someone to come check on them!! The staff is rude rolling their eyes bad attitudes and not willing to help but expect patients and families to cooperate. Really sas!!!

Husband's lung collapsed and he was admitted. He had previously had a heart attack in Jan there and he had Muscular Dystrophy. But, when he went back after his lung collapsed, they hurried and rushed him out to what they called rehab at Edisto Acute which is a nursing home. He was transferred there and they did no monitoring knowing he was on a trach. He passed that night at the Edisto. They tried to say he drowned in his own mucus, no one was suctioning him. He was doing so well before sent there. I blame the hospital for rushing him out and the nursing home for not monitoring him.

If I could give this hospital no stars I would. This is literally the worst hospital I've ever been to. Been sitting in the ER with my boyfriend for 5 hrs now and they still haven't put him in a room. But keep in mind he came in for chest pains and the lady tells me there's other people that are more important. Still sitting here waiting and still have no clue what's going on. Do not ever recommend this hospital they are the ones to leave you dead.

Iโ€™m wondering if it would be beneficial for nurses to receive more training in customer service. As a family member who flew 1200 miles to visit someone in critical condition, there is no reason the nurses should be approaching me with an attitude. Before I even opened my mouth, 3 of them were outright rude. I asked very simple questions with zero emotion in my tone or face and they became defensive and critical. If you know we are experiencing a hard time, why would you make it worse? The nurses CHOSE to be here. We did not.

I want to give this place a negative star but I canโ€™t. This is the worst hospital ever. I came in having an allergic reaction I was told to sit down and wait while my throat was actively closing. I could not breathe and It was hard for my to speak. I voiced that I needed my girlfriend in the room to speak for me or for them to let her in the room so she can call my mother so my mother could speak for me multiple times because I kept blacking out I was told to be an adult and speak for myself. While voicing that it hurts to speak and breathe multiple times my concerns was still not listened to lucky my epipen finally kicked in and took some of my symptoms away. The nurses in the room was horrible to the point where I had to walk out because I felt that my life was not safe in their hands. I could have did what they did myself ,which was nothing absolutely nothing.

Will most likely go to rebound, 3 rivers, or colleton without the information saying I'm allergic to ANYTHING. Thanks for giving me hives twice. Look at the triage sign pretty sure thier dumb enough to keep it going. Their system keeps shutting down and rebooting..... just go ahead and cancel the whole county already. Its 4:30am they're JUST NOW GETTING ME TO THE OTHER UNIT!!!!!!!From yours truly- the woman that called HIPPA

Admission to ER and treatment : 5 stars. This was probably to do with luck. Accuracy of diagnosis: 5 stars (X-rays donโ€™t lie). Admission to a room: 1 star, took 14 hours, BUT as was pointed out before ERs do get packed AND testing, diagnosis and treatment were started practically after I walked in. Courtesy of staff: 5 stars. No one was rude to me. I had no idea how sick I was and had no idea my issue would require admission. I had open heart surgery in November of 2021 at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia and I would have felt more comfortable there. I will say that communication issues between staff is an issue. One tells you one thing and another one tells you another thing. Cleanliness of facility was acceptable. This hospital reminds me of another small town hospital that had an iffy reputation among the locals, but became a much better facility after being taken over by health care system based in the nearest large city. I think Lexington or other more top notch hospital needs to take the reins here.

I was admitted near midnight to the Bamberg-Barnwell emergency clinic with significant abdominal issues. I was ultimately sent to Orangeburg MUSC for a day for care. The issues were resolved and future prevention was addressed. All doctors and nurses were very caring and knowledgeable and the staffing levels were good. I was able to see my own Dr. once admitted. I am very happy with my whole experience. The Bamberg-Barnwell clinic had less than an hour wait!
