house
dating
back
to
the
late
17th
century.
This
communal
house
represents
traditional
Vietnamese
folk
wooden
architecture
in
the
Later
Le
period.

Quyen

house
is

Chu
Minh
commune,
Ba
Vi
district,
Hanoi.
Along
with

are
quite

their
architectural
and
artistic

the

architectural

in
a
country
located
west
of
Thang
Long,
worthy
of
the
proverb:
"South
bridge
-
North
pagoda
-
Doai
communal
house".

Quyen
communal
house

Nha
Lang,
the
eldest
child
of
Ly
Phat
Tu
(VI
century)
and
his
concubine
La
Thi
Ngoc
Thanh,
Nha
Lang's
mother.
Nha
Lang
Vuong
was
the
son
of
Ly
Phat
Tu
(571-602).
After
helping
his
father
defeat
the
army
of
King
Trieu
Viet
(548-571),
King
Nha
Lang
refused
the
position
of
Crown
Prince
of
the
East
Palace,
returned
with
his
mother
to
live
in
his
maternal
hometown
(now
Chu
Quyen
village),
and
then
became
a
Saint.

To
commemorate
his
merits,
the
villagers
built
a
temple
and
honored
him
as
the
village's
Tutelary
God.
Chu
Quyen
Communal
House
has
been
ranked
as
a
cultural
and
historical
relic
by
the
Ministry
of
Culture
according
to
Decision
No.
313/QD
dated
April
28,
1962,
as
a
type
of
architectural
and
artistic
relic,
with
the
function
of
a
religious
architectural
work.
Every
year,
on
the
13th,
14th,
and
15th
days
of
the
first
lunar
month,
local
people
organize
the
Chu
Quyen
Communal
House
Festival
to
commemorate
the
merits
of
the
village's
Tutelary
God
Nha
Lang
Vuong.
In
addition
to
the
main
rituals
that
are
solemnly
organized,
the
festival
also
has
many
folk
games
that
attract
a
large
number
of
local
people
and
tourists
to
participate
such
as:
playing
chess,
ethnic
wrestling,
dancing
and
singing...
Since
ancient
times,
our
people
have
had
the
song
"South
bridge,
North
pagoda,
Doai
communal
house"
to
praise
the
uniqueness,
sophistication,
and
uniqueness
of
each
architectural
feature
of
communal
houses
in
the
land
of
Doai
(
Hanoi).
