DO NOT TRUST BOOKING HERE! We had booked this hostel as we seen a review which said they allowed check in at 4am. After booking we messaged to make sure this was okay and we were told it was fine, after a long sleeper bus we arrived to be told they didn’t have our room and they would need to put us somewhere else in another hotel 100m along the road. Firstly we should have been made aware as soon as they knew the rooms were full as we could’ve found something else on our way back before midnight hit as after midnight most places class it as the next day and don’t let you check in. Secondly the replacement hotel was so poorly rated compared to this place and it was absolutely disgusting I think the photos speak for itself. Windows were left open so flys and mosquitos everywhere, a door handle that someone could literally take the battery’s out and get in to the room, someone’s kiss prints on the mirror, stains on the pillows, mould, dust, broken walls and ripped wallpaper 🤢If you check other low reviews you will find the similar stories.

We only stayed for one night but it was really nice. The receptionist was so kind and helpful - honestly really blew us away! We were even upgraded rooms for free when ours wasn’t ready at check-in time.

Lovely little hotel, close enough to all the old town that you can walk around everything but far enough away so you can’t hear all the partying. Rooms were lovely, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a bigger room! Thank you Mr Dat! He greeted us with a big smile when we arrived in the evening and the check in was quick and easy. We were on the top floor and had help carrying our bags up to the room which was a nice touch. Breakfast was simple but good. Rooms were clean and tidy and very good for the price. Would come back if I returned to the city! Thanks again Mr Dat!

Very good rooms, bathrooms with a bathtub a huge plus, and the staff were always so nice to us. We travelled to Ninh Binh and Cat Ba in between our stays and they were kind enough to deal with our constantly coming in and out, despite booking such trips and travels on our own. That being said, I certainly heard a lot of happy tourists checking back into Little Hanoi Hostel when they came back from a trip booked with them, so recommend on all fronts!

Nice place to stay for the price. Clean sheets, hot shower, as quiet as it gets for downtown, blackout curtains and nice lockers for luggage. The hostel staff was very kind and went out of their way to be helpful. Wifi signal was good too.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The bed was comfortable and my private room felt like exceptional value. The managers were also very welcoming and helpful. You’re in a busy area, right in the middle of things, so would recommend ear plugs at night.

Great last-minute stay, Mr River was very kind and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location and has a very low price for this kind of private room in this area. Didn't try the breakfast, only problem is in the room you can hear everything on the stairs which is annoying.

Room was filled with black mould, all over wall and in the bathroom. It was so moist in there that water was dripping from the ceiling onto my bed. No elevator. Room was decent size and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff are very friendly and they listen to what we favored to them. Me ,my husband and my doter stayed there for 1 night only. The room mini bar is not working, so they asked to move the other room, which is better, and they don't charge for extra payments .Actually we stayed at another hotel for 3 days already but the room is not clean, the windows are no curtain and the room is so bright at night time. We are so regret that we are not coming to this Little Hanoi Hostel at the 1st night we arrived here at Hanoi. Next time for sure we gonna stay at this hotel again . Thank you from us Korean family.

We really enjoyed staying here. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean . The managers were welcoming and helpful. Hotel is in a busy area, right in the middle of things, so most of attractions are very close. Breakfast was also very tasty! We recommend this hotel for sure...

We booked a room but when we arrived in the middle of the night they were fully booked… the guy at the reception wasn’t helping us so we ended up having to find a new place at 4 in the night ourselves…

Moisture in the room because just one little window. We keep the window open for one day and it was not that bad. Very nice and helpful staff. Great location.

Hanoi Friends Inn is strategically located in the midst of happening Hanoi Old Quarter. Friendly staffs go extra miles to welcome us and make sure that we have a comfortable and memorable stay. They assisted us in booking the infamous Halong Bay 2days 1night cruise, Hoa Lu - Tam Coc Day trip. Thumbs up for May, Eva, Anthony, Henry and the others who made us felt like home every day after exploring the overwhelming, heavyly traffic congested Hanoi.

Location is best but the rooms are small. The best thing about the hotel is they provide breakfast.

Clean and comfortable with good service and English-speaking staff. I was happy with my motorbike rental (semiautomatic 160k, automatic 200k/day). Petrol is included, but through a misunderstanding I arrived with a full tank. Mr. Chau was friendly and accommodating and even helped refund a fair amount of money for the petrol in the tank. Would stay again for the free Vietnamese coffee - don't let the carafe fool you, it's café quality!

Very good place to stay in Hanoi. In a popular tourist location ,so all the main tourist spots are accessible. The manager is very very nice, as are all the staff. The rooms are very nice, and there is air conditioning and private bathroom. The breakfast is also very good, and there are actually people who prepare breakfast for you! Nothing too fancy, but definitely nice to start your day. They also do your laundry for a fee, and can book tours for you. Very very helpful if you ask them questions. Very reasonably priced.

This was the first place I stayed in Vietnam. I was travelling on my own and couldn't have asked for a better welcome. As soon as my room was booked the hotel offered a shuttle service from the airport. YES PLEASE! It saved a lot of time and fuss. The hosts were warm and welcoming - on arrival they gave me a map and encouraged me to explore the Old Quarter. My room was large and very cosy. The breakfast in the morning was good quality and fresh. I would 100% recommend this hostel/hotel!

The staff at this hotel are fantastic!! We originally only planned to stay for 2 days, but my partner fell ill and needed to rest. They were only too happy to accommodate us and extend our stay, and during that time were very helpful in giving us places to find a doctor for foreign travellers. We had also booked a cruise for Ha Long Bay with them, and when we couldn't go because my partner was sick, they managed to get us a partial refund (we didn't expect to be refunded at all). The rooms and bathroom are a little outdated, but work perfectly fine and have A/C, so it's really up to taste in style if that's what you are looking for. We were happy enough to stay on their large and comfortable bed! The ladies working the front desk were absolutely delightful. They had great tips on places to visit and eat at around Hanoi. Overall, great experience at this little hotel in a very convenient location at the Old Quarter.

Great price, clean, comfortable. What really impressed us was the tour booking process. Staff were very helpful, organised everything and made our experience easy. The tours were great and affordable.

The hostel was of great quality considering the price we paid. Special thanks to Lee who supported us in planning our trip, a great help and very kind!
