As
a
dedicated
music
lover
and
music
scene
explorer
I
wanna
emphasize
a
few
things,
that
I
want
to
highlight
regarding
the
electronic
music
scene
in
Hanoi
and
the
club
Savage:
The
scene:
Hanoi's
electronic
music
scene
is
relatively
fresh
and
young.
There
are
still
people,
in
2023,
not
even
knowing
about
the
existence
of
electronic
music
genres
such
as
ambient/(acid)
house/experimental/techno
music
etc.
Only
within
recent
years
a
remarkable
number
of
young
and
talented
Vietnamese
DJs
as
well
as
DJ's
moving
from
all
around
the
world
to
a
vibrant
Hanoi
are
shaping
the
music
scene
as
we
find
it
today.
Small,
but
immensely
growing.
The
club:
With
it's
foundation
in
2016,
Savage
has
set
the
foundation
for
being
the
first
underground
club,
celebrating
electronic
dance
music
in
Hanoi.
Founded
by
a
team
of
professionals
working
and
living
for
the
electronic
music
scene
in
Asia,
the
club
focuses
on
a
high
standard
in
offering
quality
music.
What
I
absolutely
love
besides
seeing
big
names
such
as
Gerd
Janson,
Skatebård,
Cinthie
or
Answer
Code
Request
(ofc
I
would
name
them
all,
but
no
space)
is,
that
I
get
to
discover
the
local
scene
of
DJ's
in
Vietnam
and
Asia
and
their
fabulous
taste
in
music,
such
as
Gonno,
Di
Linh,
Ouissam,
Cora,
Khoi
Mai,
Manikk,
DOTT.
(ofc
I
would
name
them
all,
but
no
space).
You
will
find
two
well
thought-of
constructed
dance
floors,
each
equipped
with
a
Funktion
One
soundsystem
and
an
absolutely
cosy
rooftop
terrace
with
a
magnificent
view
of
the
city.
The
spirit:
To
me,
it
is
absolutely
fascinating,
that
people
still
get
the
chance
to
explore
and
discover
the
freedom
of
self-expression
within
the
electronic
dance
music
sphere.
The
club
is
a
great
example
for
how
they
cherish
and
protect
the
community
by
making
sure,
people
who
don't
honor
the
mutual
vibe
of
respect
and
acceptance,
will
get
kicked
out.
By
creating
the
queer-friendly
party
series,
Snug,
the
team
behind
Savage
has
again
implemented
another
core
element
of
electronic
dance
music,
with
cherishing
and
strengthening
the
LGBTQIA+
community.
Monthly
drag
shows,
by
brilliant
and
(high-)fashioned
drag
performers,
rounded
off
with
a
cast
of
colorful
DJ's
are
set
to
pack
the
dance
floors.
The
conclusion:
If
you
enjoy
electronic
dance
music,
you
will
find
yourselves
surrounded
by
like-minded
people
in
Savage.
Highly
skilled
bartenders
and
friendly
staff
guaranteeing
an
overall
splendid
night,
full
of
joy
and
new
friends.
The
overall
quality
of
music,
concept
and
staff
is
top-notch.
Some
people
might
complain
about
the
high
fees
concerning
the
entrance
and
bar.
I
want
to
mention
that
you
can
always
purchase
pre-sale
tickets
until
the
day
of
the
event,
which
cost
50%
less
then
the
tickets
at
the
door.
If
you
are
willing
to
spend
20€
to
go
to
Berghain
(500K
VND)
than
these
8€
(200K
VND)
are
well
spent
at
a
night
in
Savage
and
you're
investing
in
a
long-lasting
music
scene.
