Worst experience ever! I went to see a gynecologist for a check up. Firstly, they do not have proper facilities/equipments to keep you feel safely handled while examining. I had to take off my underwear in front of a doctor and there was no cover to keep me a company. I was half naked. It was bearable until people in the room were women. But still I was very upset with how they treat me.( how this hospital treats women...) While the doctor was examining a man just came into the room for translation. I got shocked by the fact that a man came into the room without any explanation beforehand. They also have so many female staffs who can speak very good English. Also he could have been standing behind the curtain. Anyway he just came in and explained that he was here to support translation(which I did not ask for). The contents that he was translating, it could have been done while I was seating and explaining about my symptoms. The one he was asking me was not relevant to the examining and the timing was very bad. I felt totally humiliated by the incident and could not get over until now. It was such an horrifying experience but it seems like they do not have any clue that it was wrong to treat a patient like that. They did not respect me and my dignity. It was awful it was just a sexual harassment. I was very much disappointed about the quality of service that they provided, quality of the staffs obviously. I am totally regretting that I was believed in French hospital. Please think twice before you go.

Hospital looks clean and polished. The staff were kind but if you do not speak their language, you will really have a hard time. only a few of the staff can speak english and when they are frustrated they tend to just walk out. The receptionist was good and accomodating but language barrier tends to be really difficult. The doctors were good but at times could not explain the diagnosis and course in the hospital well, good thing I am a doctor so it was easier to grasp the concept and broken english but i could not imagine what it would be like for those who cannot understand. They have a bakery at the ground floor but it does not taste goof and is.overpriced

5 stars!!! I came here needing hernia repair surgery. I was a little worried based on some of the reviews here on Google. My doctor and surgeon Dr. Bui Trung was fantastic. Very nice man. He answered all my questions. The day of surgery, everyone was very kind to my wife and I and helped reduce my worry. The surgery went well and I was released 30 hrs later. During my stay the food was fantastic (compared to most hospital food). The nurses and staff very kind to us. It's been a week since my surgery and my recovery is better than I expected. Is it expensive- YES! Is my travel insurance covering it- YES would I come here even if my insurance wasn't covering it- 1,000% YES My advice- don't go cheap when it comes to important personal health care- especially if you're a foreigner like me. Most of the 1-star reviews here are NOT about the excellent care, it's about the cost. Before my surgery they made sure I understood the estimated cost. My invoice was in English and Vietnamese and understandable. I hope I don't ever have to visit a hospital again while in Vietnam, but if I do, this is the place I'm coming.

Got pneumonia while in Vietnam and went to ER. Less than 10 minute wait before I was brought to a bed, then received blood tests and a chest x-ray. Ended up needing to stay in hospital 3 days(!!!) for multiple rounds of antibiotics and breathing treatments every day. Received cat scan as well as more blood tests. Meals were healthy and tasted good. Travel insurance covered my visit and stay. A couple of small things of annoyance happened, but overall, I'm glad I went to this hospital over others when I read the reviews of others in the area. Google Translate may be needed with nurses, but doctors speak both French and English (and Vietnamese). On the day of discharge, I waited a couple of extra unnecessary hours in my room after lunch. I rang and asked how much longer it would be, and the attending nurse said I needed to wait to be discharged, and I said no, I've been discharged already that morning and was told by doctor I could leave after lunch and getting a bag of medication. She went and checked and the bag was at the nurse station and brought it, tried to explain in English as well as she could how to take one of the medications (Symbicort inhaler) before telling me to Youtube the instructions and then let me go. When leaving, be careful about fake Grabs and scammer taxis parked outside the ER drop-off area. One guy grabbed my bags and acted like he was my Grab and I said no because the license plate didnt match and he laughed at me and left my bags in the middle of the road and I had to carry them back over to the entrance while weak from being sick. It was a scary experience. The cars should not be allowed to sit there like that outside the hospital and try to scam sick people as they leave.

I visited the hospital because of a neurological issue related to migraines, so I was seen by Dr. Brisset, a French neurologist. I felt that I didn't really get to share all the relevant information because he was interrupting me a few words into each answer, and it felt at times like he was looking to confirm his suspected diagnosis rather than hear the whole explanation. I don't think he landed on a wrong diagnosis or anything, but I just wasn't particularly satisfied with his approach. The more painful part was that he spent probably about 60% of the appointment typing at ~10 words per minute (this is my genuine estimate), rather than actually working with me. Considering he is probably being compensated quite well for his time, I think the hospital might want to consider getting him a medical scribe, as he could see a lot more patients that way. Other than my disappointment with the doctor, everything else was outstanding. Service from the guards, receptionists, and cashiers was exceptional and efficient, and facilities were very nice. But...I come to a hospital because I'm looking for clarity and comfort about medical issues. I didn't get that at all, and I've had much more positive experiences at significantly cheaper hospitals in Hanoi.

UPDATED READ BELOW AS WELL Disappointing and then made up for . I'll start by being fair and saying I've had a lot of good experiences there, the French dermatologist is always so pleasant and thorough and the admin staff is also typically very good. However, I recently visited Dr. Hoa in the neurology department about an ulnar nerve and neck issue. After a full day of tests and an MRI she didn't even go over or show me the MRI. I was even sent to a public hospital for part of my test which seemed odd as why pay private money to have to go sit and wait a a different hospital, but even that I was fine with. After all the tests she met with me briefly and simply told me not to cycle anymore and was irritated that I had follow up questions. Everything was one through a translator which was also fine but it wasn't a lost in translation thing, she was noticeably trying to rush me out and didn't seem to care at all about my concerns. As an avid cyclist I just wanted to understand if there was a path toward physiotherapy and recovery. I wanted to know and understand how severe things were, and if I should be concerned about permanent nerve damage. Pretty reasonable questions for me to have and I was perfectly pleasant and respectful asking them. She was visibly annoyed and tried to rush me out, doctors need to remember we are people, and to treat us like that. We have questions and concerns and we turn to you for council. Even if you are having a bad day, hide it, and treat us with respect. I put my concerns in a long email and they didn't even bother to respond to me, it's been over a month. I asked to see the French neurologists when he's back from a trip because I heard good things about him, but no response. Pretty terrible experience and even more disappointing because I've been a loyal customer for 10 years and I have had mostly positive experiences. UPDATE ON THE ABOVE After my initial review it's only fair to add that after my situation was brought to the attention of the CEO of the hospital and on a follow up visit I was given superb care. Dr. Pruvot took over my case and he was extremely thorough and helpful regarding my situation and I'm grateful for that. Doctors have stressful jobs and tough days, harder than most, so I hope my original situation was an isolated incident or at least I hope this is something that is worked on moving forward.

Shocking hospital that exploits foreigners. My Vietnamese wife rang for the cost of some heart scans and they quoted 5.5 Million. Then when she made an appointment, upon the receptionist finding out my name, she said that the cost for foreigners is double. I'd avoid going here!

Misdiagnosed at another Hanoi hospital and came here for a second opinion. All the right tests were done, admitted and treated professionally with superior care throughout. Discharged with appropriate follow-up plan. Kudos to the staff. Definitely international-standard quality. Yes, you pay more here but it's worth every dong.

I came at this hospital today for lipomas removal. First, I wanted to know the price and conditions, but I was asked to pay 2.5 mln. vnd instead just for seeing the doctor! Again: they asked me to pay 2.5 mln. vnd for asking the price of their services! Not for examination (there's nothing to examine), but just for the info which is has to be provided free of charge!

Clean place, less crowded, but expensive services. I saw the staffs over there insist everyone in emergency to get hospitalised. In conversation with doctors, i realised that a couple of them tend to terrify the relatives of patients by using very complicated jargons and showing serious situation instead of consoling them while in panic.

One of the worst hospitals I’ve ever been in my life. The reception was absolutely unhelpful and so was the doctor with no regards for the patience health. All they cared about was the money. The patient who I went with was a doctor and all he needed was a prescription for a vaccine. Still, the receptionist and a so called doctor asked to pay 2.7 million Vietnamese Dong as consultation fees and more for the vaccine. The patient showed his doctor IDs and said he doesn’t need a consultation but is ready to speak with the doctor. But they didn’t care about his urgent health matter but money. Very disappointing. Healthcare in Vietnam as a whole was disappointing but this hospital ensured that all foreigners coming in to the country leave with an even worse experience.

Hospital was clean and staff spoke English well, so it was easy for us to communicate. However, we went in for a simple wound dressing and they did not handle it well. One of the nurses handled my wife’s bandage with her bare hands. Also, they only had low quality gauze type bandages; we earlier got a higher quality elastic bandage, and composite wound dressing at another hospital.

I recently came to here for a minor surgery, but a SURGERY, nonetheless. This was the first time I had any surgery or been to the hospital. Living here without my family added to my anxiety. The surgery went smoothly as expected. The Viet staff here were friendly and funny. My nurses were beyond superb. They were so gentle and uplifting. Kudos to them for carrying all the work. The doctor was sympathetic, everything I expect a good doctor would be. And one last thing, the food was great. Thanks for taking care of me.

worst experience with a hospital in my life. overpriced for standard service. I have arrived around 8pm with a strong fever. First i was forced to deposit 8 mil VND just for blood test, then the doctor finally came and told me, that i should stay over night at the hospital. However after that i’ve spent 4 hours in the hospital without any treatment, because i have refused to deposit another 20 milion VND (because I had pretty good insurance) However they just told me that it takes 20 hours before they can obtain beloved guarantee cover letter - well after 3 hours of a fever 39,5C and guy coming with terminal every 20 minutes (WITHOUT ANY KIND OF TREATMENT) i finally managed to obtain “special” address mail of the hospital (not on the internet) that works over night, my insurance could finally send guarantee cover letter and they have received it promptly. After they obtained the cover letter they started with the treatment… Funny is how they wanted, after what happened, to hold me for the longest time possible in the hospital to receive the maximum money from my insurance. lege artis is something that this hospital doesn’t know

I went to the Hanoi hospital after a scooter fall in Pu Luong, where I did a first x-ray (200,000vnd) of the shoulder, which revealed a dislocation and fragments that broke. Arriving at the Hanoi hospital, I was quickly taken care of, but no additional examination was carried out even though I had asked them to do another X-ray because I felt that my shoulder had moved. Instead, they prepared me the bill of 118,200,000 VND for an emergency operation and two nights in the hospital. When my insurance took time to analyze the file, the doctors became very impatient, and came back every 10 minutes to find out if they were going to pay or not. After 1 hour, the doctor suggested I go home and come back when I had the money. I finally decided to return to France to see a doctor, who immediately did an X-ray: my shoulder had healed on its own, and no operation was necessary, only rest and rehabilitation. I don't know if it's incompetence on the part of the doctors who took care of me, or if they just tried to scam me, but I'm very glad I didn't agree to do their operation.

The quality is not equal to the cost, it is way too expensive compared to what you've received. Needless to say, the expense seems not much transparent. The nurse gave me a zip bag of medicine on the discharge day (supposed to be "opened bottles"), I found out there was a sealed bottle. They try to sell more medicine to patients which is always 70-100% more expensive than market.

My 8 year old daughter had bronchitis and we needed antibiotics. I called in the morning and got time for a doctor's appointment after lunch just as we wanted. There are three entrances after the gate, the first one for the hospital (next to the gate), the second for the emergency (20m left from the gate) and the third for normal appointments about 50m left from the main gate. All entrances have their own reception and very helpful people there. We were here the first time so paperwork took some 5 minutes. Our doctor Mrs Phuong is a real professional with child patients. Her focus to both my daughter and concerned parents showed her true medical competence. After interviews and examination we got clear instructions how to continue. At hospital farmacy all medicins were ready for us. Again I got detailed instructions about doces etc. There were no non-relevant tests: x-ray, blood test etc to boost the invoice. I got all needed papers for the insurance company, also as an email attachment. My wife commented - "I have never seen so clean hospital".

Quality service, comfort and immediate care. The doctors and nurse are very professional and they speak English and/or French. The attitude towards customers is quite disconcerting however : the accounting staff will not hesitate to request payment in the middle of a procedure or operation... surely they can ask before or after... Also they do not include all medicine and consumables in the (very steep) price of service. If you come back for complementary care, be prepared to bring your own consumables and medicine... they will charge you for new ones and they are much more expensive than even in the pharmacies across the street. Doctors and nurses also like to overprescribe and will also try to get you to engage in less than necessary procedures if they feel you can pay for it.

One more thing, I asked for a particular specialist (Internal Doctor or an oncologist) & they are referring me to a gynecologist!?! I know what I am asking... I mean hello!!!

(Translated by Google) The service was very poor. I called the number on the hospital website 4 to 5 times without anyone picking up the phone. When you arrive, the receptionist asks to pay 1.6 million instead of 1.2 million because if you do not make an appointment, otherwise, you will not. The problem is that no one picks up the phone number of the hospital, the error is due to the hospital but requires the client to pay, otherwise no examination. In addition, the receptionist's attitude is also very annoying. They said they did not agree to pay 1.6 million, they did not examine. I was so upset that I went to Vinmec to have a checkup and I will never go back to Vietnam.

Criminally overcharging just because they can. Even after paying an exploitative amount for a COVID test (5x everywhere else) they still managed to forget to date the paperwork, causing problems at the embassy.

Hotel made the appointment and organised the taxi. Once arrived, we rushed through registration within 5 minutes, no waiting whatsoever. Consultation was thorough, everything explained through a translator. Solution was highly professional, and very diligent and friendly. Prescribed medication was added to the bill and handed over by the hospital's own pharmacy only seconds later. Compared to German or Swiss standards (we are used to both) this was nothing short to a next-level experience. Absolutely flawless, big shoutout to the ladies in dermatology, You are awesome! //// Remark to the costs: Consultation at 50% of German standards, medication at 10%. Period.

I chose VF as my birthplace after being praised by many people for its service and quality. However, my experience at VF was really bad I just gave birth for the first time on January 27. This is my first time giving birth, so there are still many things I don't know. For example, my lochia stopped on Thursday (when I was still in the hospital) but the doctor didn't ask. I don't know if that's unusual. This resulted in her having lochia, causing inflammation and having a fever for 4 days. Then I went to the emergency room at VF on the 30th of Tet. But the doctor did a very cursory examination and gave me efferangal. And if you have a fever, drink it. Other than that, there are no medications. The next day I had to go to the Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital for an emergency check-up on the first day of Tet. The doctor here requested urgent hospitalization for injection and antibiotic infusion. I find this unacceptable because postpartum women are very weak and because it's the first time giving birth, you have to learn how to hold the baby. I will not return to VF Hospital a second time and will pass this information on to acquaintances who intend to choose Vietnamese Buddhism.
