I’ll preface this review by saying how incredibly nice and friendly the staff were. They were incredibly apologetic about the experience I had and tried to make right by me; however, there are issues that clearly need addressed. I was given a bottom bunk on the 4th floor in a room with 16 other bunk beds. Before falling asleep I felt a little itching and thought I’d turn on my bunk light just to check. I saw two tiny little bugs that didn’t immediately alarm me so I killed them and turned off the light. I still felt itchy so I turn on the light and inspected the entire bed. I found another small bug (but bigger than the other ones) attached to my blanket. I looked up images of bed bugs online and it didn’t look like the pictures I saw, but after looking at images of their life cycle it looked like a baby one. I went down to the front desk and showed him the bug that I captured in a plastic bag. He apologized and gave me another bunk in the same room. I inspected the bed before getting into it and didn’t find anything. I fell asleep for no more than 20 minutes and woke up feeling itchy. I got out of bed and started sifting through the blankets and found a larger bug than the other ones I found that was exactly like the pictures I saw online. I capture this one and another smaller one in the same plastic bag and headed down to the front desk again. He offers a different bed which I decline and then says I can maybe walk down the street to find another place to stay. It’s 3am at this point, and I’m a woman in a foreign country completely unfamiliar to me, so that option was out of the question as well. I spent the rest of the night soaking my clothes in the bathroom sink in boiling hot water and sitting on a torn sofa chair in the second floor lounge. There were two other girls in there who when I told about the situation weren’t shocked at all because they had found them too! In the same bed that I was given!! They were still putting people in the dorm room as I was leaving even though I explained that the entire room needs to be thoroughly cleaned for bed bugs and that even though they might not be in all the bunks they travel fast and certainly will be. As I said, the staff was very nice and gave me and my friend who did not experience bed bugs a refund, but it’s a health and safety concern that needs to be fixed before anyone else should stay there. It’s been a horrible experience and I’m still worried they’re on my stuff somewhere. I cannot recommend this place to anyone until the problem is fixed.

Excellent! The staff is an amazing group of people, friendly, kind, efficient, helpful and always smiling. The dorms are clean and spacious, the beds wide, comfy and the comforters really thick and warm. I loved the many choices for breakfast, all delicious! Nice chill out zone with tv. Very good and fast laundry service. Perfect location to walk around Hanoi, and you can enjoy a free city tour. They also offer really good tours at very convenient prices!

Very good hostel in the heart of the old quarter. The position is perfect and the staff so friendly and helpful! Just ask and they will provide to you basically anything you need. I stayed in a mix dorm with roughly 20 beds. The bed is confy and they provide you with a pillow and a blanket. There are 2 ac in the room and fans as well. Balcony for smoking and 2 toilet and 2 shower on the floor. Common area with seats, tables and couches with English television, a lot of movies! Your bed comes with a plug for electricity, a light and a little locker. The beds are separate from each other , even if there’s a little gap and you have a curtain for privacy. Is a mixed room with a lot of people so expect some noise from other guests who don’t realize it’s a mixed dorm, but beside that all good. You will also have a big locker for your luggage.

A night here gonna set you back 90k VND. No towel provided, however they are available for rent at 20k per piece. Each bed is equipped with privacy curtain, as well as a dedicated charging point, a bulb, and a locker. 10 minutes walk to the beer street which make it ideal for some quiet sleep. Plenty of foods nearby.

Not bad, I had a double room with shared bathroom. The room is located up about 5 flights of steps so by the time you get to your room you are fit to drop. The room is what's to be expected of a hostel room, basic buy clean. 2 bottles of water on arrival and a banana. The room had air conditioning and a TV with plenty of channels as well as a small balcony. There was a bathroom on the landing with 2 toilets, 2 sinks and 2 showers, there are only 2 rooms on the top floor so bathroom fine. The shower hot water lasts literally 1 minute so be sure to scrub straight away. The breakfast was OK, I had omelette with toast, and unlimited black coffee. The hostel is located right in the heart of the old town. There is a kinda common room but never really saw anyone in there, also if you want to socialise then this isn't the place, in 3 nights I struggled to get a conversation out of anyone. All in all it served its purpose.

I went here at 2015. I had a very nice experience with Hanoi, because I believe good mood is affected by a good sleep. The staffs were so friendly so I felt like I was in nowhere but my hometown. Also, they provided a two-choice bonus, whether a can of free beer or a one-dollar discount, as a complimentary service to their guests who had posted their visit into their social media account. I wish this promotion still works. Because this is so interesting :)) Sadly, I heard that some of their staffs already resigned. But still, I'm sure that this hostel can serve - at least - the same hospitality and good service as I ever had to all guests who visit their hostel as the signature service of them.

Great hostel. We stayed in the 12 man mixed dorm and met some lovely people over the week. Beds are nice, showers hot. The balcony was nice to chill out on in the evening. Laundry service was great and quick. Friendly staff!

Clean and well looked after. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location, right next to a vinmart and circle k, coffee shops, and Thao's pub.

Nice place to meet people in the door rooms, anoying upstair stairs but good overall. Across the street there's the best place for breakfast.

Was shopping around hostels and the room offered to me in other hostels were either too pricey or claustrophobic despite being for only 4 people (signature inn). In this AZ hostel i stayed on the 4th floor with like 16 beds but hardly anyone was there and a nice balcony, i got a lower bed beside the window so i got good lighting and beautiful view outside. Wifi was okay. 100k didn’t include towels, but there was bath gel/shampoo. Would stay again in the future when I see that the room isn’t crowded.

A really nice hostel located a short walk from one of the airport bus calling points, where the bunks have secure privacy curtains attached to the traverse rods, incredibly effective air conditioning and high powered fans on both the walls and ceilings. The dormitory room on the higher floor has a balcony - albeit with some unsecured railings - providing some pleasant urban views of go-getting Hanoi, and on the first is a common dining area, which like all storeys has excellent WiFi receptivity. There’s a tour desk and reception desk on the ground floor and card payment is accepted, albeit with a small and standard processing fee. The staff are approachable and reasonably okay to deal with. Although the stairwell might be narrow it’ll be adequate unless you’re “large” - fat, really. A one minute walk from the heart of the city. 🌴🌱🍁🥬🥒🍅🌶🥗🤸‍♀️🍠🥭🌽🍉🥑🤼‍♀️

They have unlimited coffee in the morning and they keep it out until it runs out. The cook is very friendly and kind. There was a sale for the week that I booked. The dorm rooms are different and we cannot choose which room online. 8 beds or 24 beds? Also, I asked if I could be moved to the bottom bunk but they refused even though the bottom bunks were available every night I was there. Not accommodating, in that part.

I had a great time in the rendezvous hostel. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with anything weather it was the best way to get to point a to point b or organising an open bus ticket, making my SIM card for a tablet operate while not carrying a mobile phone! The staff's English was fantastic too. The dorm rooms are comfortable with an area to lock away your belongings, although next time I will pay a little more for a bottom bunk to avoid the inconvenience. Be warned Staircase only, if you need a lift go somewhere else.

DO NOT BOOK! The business doesnt exist anymore. We booked ahead of our trip, paid online then showed up and the business had closed down.
