I loved it. Went for back packing and this was on of the best for value. It wasn't as expected although the pics online looked great i still had doubts. I was proved wrong and would've easily stayed longer if possible. There's a very small area to eat at but nevertheless there's plenty of eatery in the area to explore.

I think this is a really good budget option hotel - our room had an outward facing window (seemingly rare to even get a window in a lot of places) but we heard no noise at night from the outside. We also had a mini fridge, good air con, strong wifi connection (even on the 3rd floor). Our bathroom shower was brand new and water was hot! There is free water refill downstairs (also rare) and tea and coffee available for free. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. I’d come back and recommend others to stay. It’s not luxurious looking but that’s not what you’re paying for…

I would love to give the award for best stuff service i have ever seen in my life. The location is so perfect, everything is close to this hostel. They always smile and love that. The guy at night shift is so friendly and an amazing person.

We stayed few hours for travel to Cao Bang and after 2 days we came back to same place. It’s very nice hotel and very close to all the place. The reception guy name Thud is very nice and friendly and he helped us lot during our stay. They don’t provide cofee / tea anything in room but you can have a cofee at reception area. Well recommend place

Nice rooms and good staff. we appreciated how polite the staff was and they always greeted us as we entered. They have an in-house cab facility as well. Rooms were clean and we were glad there was a geyser. I liked the interiors which gave a comfortable vibe to the place. This place was also near to many of the cafes and tourist spots. The price of the stay was also affordable and less.

We had a really comfortable stay here. The room was very spacious. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and they ended up booking a fantastic 2 day 1 night trekking tour in SaPa for us, as well as buses to and from and accommodation when we got back to Hanoi. They really were so helpful. I'd highly recommend staying here. It's in a great location in Hanoi.

This place is great for a budget, central stay in the historical quarter. Unless you need to work while traveling. This obviously isn't a major concern for most. That aside, I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is absolutely fantastic and the staff are very polite and always willing to help. The bed was comfortable and there was no pressure to book tours with them or to use their services.

Very strategic location. In the middle of old quarter and it just walking distance to the night market. For halal and vegan food also very convenient and easy to find around that. If you like massage in front of the hotel got spa which the price is very reasonable and neat. Overall this hostel location is very wise and the service is good. No breakfast but they do coffee and tea every morning. When we arrive from sa pa that was early in the morning at 5am and they allowed us to stay at the lobby because the room was fully booked so we need to wait till afternoon to check in. They also have toilet at the lobby which you can take shower and clean yourself before you go out for breakfast and start strolling around the hanoi city. When we back to the hostel at 3pm outlr room was ready and all our bag inside the room.

Despite the hostel is located in the city centre, it's not too noisy. I had a really comfortable sleep. The owner is very friendly. Thank you!

Avoid. Good: Room was big and decoration was nice. Aircon worked very well. Staff was helpful with the nuance that they seem disappointed when we didn't take their tour. The tour packages seemed good value. Bad: - Overall cleaning was bad in the sense of them only clean the main spots and needing a deeper cleaning - Room with strong mold smell and lot of humidity. Felt repulsive. Curtains had stains. - Toilet had mold on ceiling and in other places that you don't clean on a everyday basis. Had to take shower with shoes which is ok... Smelled a bit moldy as well. -No shampoo/shower gel or even handsoap in the toilet. - Rented scooter with them. Scooter rear brake didn't work and front brake was inconsistent. Depending on the position of the wheel would brake more or less. It was hard to measure how much to break because it could not break much and then lock up if you're not careful. Scooter also had no mirrors. Conclusion: - I would recommend if it was properly cleaned and wouldn't smell like mold. The rest I would easily ignore if I felt comfortable.

I didn't stay at the hotel because it was full when I came. However, I booked all my tours there. The staff is really helpful, speak English and are ready to go an extra mile for you (took me to the bus heading to Sapa and to the ATM on my first day). The location is perfect to explore the Old Quarter.

From the very beginning the communication was friendly and responsive. They provided information about places to visit, transfers, day trips and the option of an airport pick up. The most amazing thing about Golden Time Hostel 3 is the warmth they showed our boys (2 & 4). They were always quick to help them up the stairs, have a chat and let them play an old ukulele in the lobby. To top it off, at the end of the stay they gave the ukulele to the boys to take home. I am certain it is this moment they will remember from our time in Hanoi.

•A cheap and cheerful private room for Hanoi •Very helpful and friendly staff •Great location •Private double bedroom on ground floor was nice & simple, good for a few days by myself (no windows though so I left on the bathroom extractor fan to circulate the air before bed) •Comfortable bed •Powerful aircon & shower •Only 2 small things: Possibly leave the blue decorative sheet thing off the bed entirely as it’s stained and gives a feeling everything is dirty, I’d remove the matching blue pillow as well. And the plug socket was a bit loose and had a few blue sparks fly when plugging in the rooms hair dryer but it wasn’t a big deal as common sense kicks in.

Friendly staff, but the place is horrendous to stay. We only lasted one night, and that was because we arrived at midnight! There is no sound proof in the room so you can hear people coming and going all night long. A random window from our room lead to the main staircase, so there was a bright light streaming into our room all night long as well. The place is located right in the busy center of bars and crowded streets. You get what you pay for, but in this case i would suggest paying a bit more and not staying here!!!

Good service, staff are very enthusiastic, fun, friendly, room is so nice although bath room is small but furnitures is always enough for your needs. And i think that's great when you want to find a nice place on center with cheap price, good service like that. I feel comfortable to stay here... Next time, still choose your hotel... Tks to made my trip perfect more...

We found this place by walking by looking for a new place to stay. Tony was at the front desk and not only was he incredibly nice and helpful we wound up booking our halong Bay junk boat cruise through them, our tickets for flights to Da Nang and airport taxi as well as staying a night with them. In the morning they made us a lovely omelette with vegetables and white toast. Definitely suggest their travel services, and their rooms are affordable, clean and in the heart of the fun old quarter. They boat they booked us was the Majestic Cruise, and they were all lovely as well. They are affordable, not fancy so set expectations on that. Thank you again, from Ryan and Sam 💖

You get what you pay for. Great location, comfortable sleep and reasonable shower (washing means more than usual with the humidity and traffic!). Breakfast is very basic and your room may not have a window. Staff are very helpful and friendly and found us a room elsewhere very last minute! Big plus

Came with family and booked 2 rooms. One was good, facing the street with balcony...other is a room facing back lane with small window that leaks light so really can't get the room dark enough. Broken bathroom door and no lift are the dealbreakers here. Staff was patient and friendly but the negatives outweigh the service. Main issue is the layout of the rooms where some are great but some quite horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are absolutely sure you are getting a front-facing room with balcony.

I can't say enough good things about this place. We stayed here during our trip and the staff is just phenomenal. Very inexpensive. The rooms are clean and in good condition. Breakfast is included (the freshly baked baguette and the omelets are amazing!) and the location is superb. You're basically right in the middle of the bustling markets, bars, and restaurants. The staff there helped us book our boat trip to Halong Bay and event got us a 25% discount on the price offered online. The last day they secured a driver to take us to the airport and even packed breakfast for us since we were running late and didn't get a chance to eat! Like I said this is a great place to stay, at an extremely affordable rate.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a problem with the room that I originally booked so ended up getting upgraded for the night for no extra cost so can't complain. The bed was super comfy. Very thin walls meant that you could hear people walking up and down the stairs outside the door but didn't disturb me too much. Quite a spacious room. Private bathroom. Clean. Good value for money.

I stayed in a twin room on the 4th floor, with a small balcony. The room comes with TV, AC, frigider, safe and hot water 24 hours. The soundproofing was good and the room was quite. The room was not in a brand new condition, but it was clean and considering the price, it was a good deal.

The hostel is in the center of Hoan Kiem, one of the most beautiful areas of Vietnam. The room and the bathroom were small but it is what i was expecting for that price. The breakfast they offer is only eggs (cooked in different ways but all of them basic) and some bananas so nothing special at all. The only problem is one of the staff was hitting on my girlfriend all the time, behavior i didnt expect from the staff of a hotel.

Balcony room is fine. Only let down is the bathroom was poorly designed but at least still functions as it should. Location is super. The staffs are helpful. Overall great place for its price.

This place is fantastic. Exceed our expectation for the price we paid. The hotel located in the middle of street that full with many good restaurants and right at the Night market in the weekend. The rate is breakfast included. And the staff are phenomenon. They are very helpful and offer us every help they possibly could. I would give more than five star if I could.
