I usually never take the time to write reviews but this hostel is definitely worth this time. Starry 9 is located in a perfect place, near restaurants, bars, shops and attractions. It is located in a quiet street, next to Hanoi's busy streets. Then you have the common area which is so well decorated, cosy and with this huge window that allows you to see the sky, the beautiful houses of the street or the cosy typical Vietnamese lights at night time. I slept in a dorm which was very clean with comfy bed and big blanket. The breakfast is nice and the price is cheap. And la cerise sur le gâteau is the staff which is so helpful, caring and nice, special thanks to the owner who makes you feel at home. I recommend this place 100% and will come back again for sure. Thank you for making my stay in Hanoi so cosy.

I had an incredibly good staying at this hostel. So many positive points to remember from my experience: - The hostel is located in the heart of Hanoi old quarter, heaps of restaurants are nearby and also all the main attractions. - The establishment is super clean, the employees clean the rooms very often. - The beds have curtains and are comfortable. - The breakfast is free, delicious and diffent everyday. - Last but not least, the owner is really kind, always willing to give his best to help you with his perfect English. Best hostel in Hanoi!

I stayed at this hostel twice. This is what true hospitality is all about! The hostel is in a great location and the beds are comfy. Curtains and lockers offers privacy and security. Breakfast is sufficient and the common room nice and pleasant. Free water refill available! But what is truly remarkable about this place is the owner. His English is fantastic, he is incredibly helpful and just made me feel right at home both times. The other people who worked here at the time when the owner wasn't there were also incredibly nice.

The hostel is in a perfect location. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast are really good and fulfilling. Stayed here 2 times and would stay her again!!

Me and my friends stayed 2 nights and it was absolutely wonderful! The location is in the middle of the old quarter surrounded by all the local food stands and a thriving nightlife. The hostel itself is clean, beds are comfortable and the breakfast and the coffee were good. The owner is super friendly and helpful! He was super flexible with our wishes and took care of everything. A big recommendation for us!

Staff very friendly, breakfast very good and different each day. The location convenient. But, impossible to sleep. There is a night club next to the hotel, on a roof top (so totally opened), the street is very noisy, there is lots of bars and restaurants closing very late. Noise stop at 5 am, to re start at 7 am. The mattress is rude, and the bathroom not really good (small and not very clean). I am in travel in Asia since 2 months and it’s the more expensive hostel I did and almost the worst for a good sleep. With this price, we excepted to have at least a good sleep.
