A hidden gem with a classy mysterious interior, paired with quality drinks and the warmest poodle ever! I stumbled into this cafe intending to work for a bit, only to be welcomed and accompanied by the owner’s dog who cuddled right next to me and eventually curled up on my lap. Just go for the poodle already!

Updated for 2023 visit - The @circle_coffee_bar is one of my favorite cafes and bars. I discovered this place back in 2019 and I was so happy to see they survived the economic challenges from COVID-19. The owner, and her dog, are absolutely delightful and sweet souls. Walking through the hallway and into this space is like going into Narnia. There's a magical and artistic energy throughout. She hosts a music event every Wednesday that allows local artists to come perform and jam out with others. The food and drinks are light, but healthy and delicious. Throughout my time in Hanoi and enjoying this cafe, all sorts of locals and people from around the world stumbled into and lit up as they discovered this place. If you're in town, highly recommend you check this place out.

Extremely cozy and stylish place. As any gem, it might be tricky to find it - don’t miss a narrow tunnel between two local shops. And you will be rewarded! They have a lot of options, coffee, tea, milk tea, smoothies, juices, cocktails etc. I had Vietnamese coffee and it was good.

Cozy escape in the center of Hanoi. The servers are all extremely kind and friendly, the interior is tastefully decorated, and the music played in the background tie the atmosphere together nicely. My friend and I tried several drinks over the couple visits and were continually impressed. Also the complementary cinnamon-flavored tea is quite enjoyable as well.

The coffee shop is very stylish and charming, with great music in the background. I got some delicious egg coffee. However, they were a bit pricey and smaller than the average in Hanoi. The WiFi works well, and the outlets make this place convenient to work or study.

An absolute gem. I tucked away cafe with amazing drinks, wonderful staff and incredible atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend FYI, If you’re lucky enough you may find the beautiful and talented owner strumming her guitar and singing a song.

Very charming place. We got there on rainy evening. Atmosphere is great when you seat at the table under stairs protected from rain and you see raindrops falling around. Lights and shadows are playing nice together. We got egg coffee served on the candle so it kept temperature nice for longer time.

The staff are so nice and the atmosphere is incredibly cosy. Also super fast wifi, 400/200 when I was there. Nice music, variety of seating, excellent drinks. And, the sweetest and cutest dog. Take her guard duty seriously by yapping at any new faces, but will happily curl up in your lap and snuggle.

Such an amazingly peaceful and at the same time vibrant space. Best coffee drinks we had in Vietnam, perhaps ever. The girl working there was a fantastic host and our toddler son had a great time playing with the house puppy :) will be back next time we’re in Hanoi.

Cute little hidden coffee shop & cocktail bar at one place. They have live music Wednesday night, I’d love to come back for that. Their coffee is a bit acidic for my taste (arabica/robusta mix), but I might just have to taste their pure arabica. They don’t accept card payments, which is a bit of a shame.

This is a charming cafe with great drinks. We had a Vietnamese coffee and some freshly squeezed juices which were delicious. The girls serving us were really friendly. Would love to be here for live music on a Wednesday.

The cutest and most chill coffee/bar you will find in Hanoi. Fiancé and I like to stop by here to get away from all the craziness from the streets. The drinks are delicious and there is the SWEETEST maltipoo named Chon (sp?). The staff here are also very lovely. The entrance may be hard find as you have to go through an alley way. Look for the tailor bros sign and walk straight in! Enjoy!

Visited this speakeasy cafe on the last day of my trip to Vietnam and it was just divine! The service was excellent - the staff were so warm and loving. The cafe is cozy and played beautifully jazz music. Definite 5/5 for cafe, service and coffee!

We happened to stumble on this place for some coffees and a couple drinks, and wows what a find it was. Both coffee and cocktails were excellent. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their drinks just by the attention to the small details they put in. Not to mention the amazing artwork that some of our drinks came with! Would recommend this place again!

Cutest cafe ever! Such cozy vibes, warm hosts and probably the cutest dog on the planet. Helps that the coffee is great too. There’s a full set up for open mics for those interested. I dont live in Hanoi, but if I did, I’d probably stop by every other day just cos of how much I love this place.

Probably one of the best place in Hanoi for enjoying a good coffee (or more than one) in a very relaxed athmosphere , great music selection and friendly staff.In the evening time you can also enjoy great cocktails. During my time in this lovely place I've also had a great conversation with a couple from Singapore they made my day offering me the coffee. Great experience .

The drinks were good, but we were here mainly because of the atmosphere. It was a really nice place quite hidden from the road so you can't hear the bike or car sounds which was great. The place was cozy and they have music instruments that the staff allowed us to use. The playlist they played was great too. We went in the afternoon for a while and then went back again in the evening because we liked it so much.

Love the ambiance and the jazz music, the memorabilia with pictures of musicians on the wall, display of trumpet on the piano, the lighting was set at a warm and cozy tone. Even the poodle was so pleasant and cute, not to mention the nice staff Cocktail options could be limited but it’s not what we came here in the first place.

Amazing place, the staff is very kind, the place is very cute, good atmosphere and the beverages are high quality. We tried cocktails, egg coffee and tea. A place to stop by in Hanoi. P.S. there is a very cute little dog 😍

We just stopped by here by chance to grab something to drink. It was early in the day so I can only judge the place in that aspect. The decor is really nice and they seem to have live music in the evenings. The coffee we tried tasted very good. It takes a while for them to prepare it, but worth waiting for. The music they played in the background was good and suitable for western people. I would like to come back in the evening.

Excellent coffee / bar hiding inside the small lane, 2 lovely girls carefully maintain this place with very detailed attention. Small but delicate, warm and so lovely, you can find it from the decorations at the corner, on the wall, even toilet properly and carefully decorated. I will be back for sure, bravo.

What a fantaisic bar i've ever been! The host was absolutely gentle and kind. He has a really nice smile:) Reasonable price and nice taste. I think the alcohol was little bit weak, but whatever~~just try as many kind of cocktail as you can👍 I love the atmosphere especially! You will love this place definitely, I'm sure!

This cafe is a hidden gem in the Old Quarter. It's easy to miss this place when walking by and there isn't much signage promoting this place at street level. But, it's a great shop if you're looking for a quiet and cozy spot away from the crowds.

Love the atmosphere and the decor. It gives me a nice cozy vibe, a really comfy place to hang out with a friend. The music was beautiful, and the staffs are great. My friend and I tried the white coffee; the shop owner was kind enough to offer adding chocolate to one of the cup so we could try different flavors. It tasted awesome. I don't really frequent coffee shops so today's a wonderful experience. Definitely will come again.

This place has one of the best atmospheres. The entrance is a long walk way with hanging lights and music, but it just looked like an alley from the outside. It fulfilled all of my childhood dreams of wandering into some wonderland. The bar itself had great ambience with plently of fans and the music selection was great. It was quiet given covid's effect on tourism and clientele, but I'll be visiting again. Definitely a hidden gem.

Aesthetics of this place are unmatched- such a cozy, mysterious place that kind of takes you back in time. Very nice music as well, the have a piano you can play on and an adorable dog. Drinks are reasonably priced. The only unpleasant aspect is that we were asked to pay 200.000 Dong for a Glas that broke by accident, because the dog was sitting in our lap. We ended up paying only 60.000. This is in no way the staffs fault though, rather the owner.

Very nice and quiet coffee bar in the backyard. The service is great, the place very lovely.

Follow the music from the end of the passageway to come to a compact, dark, tastefully decorated bar. Stairs at the back going to a tailors give it character. Corner stage for musicians, a piano next to it. A cute poodle. A lovely aesthetic and atmosphere to have a few drinks in.

One of those rare places where you can bring your laptop to work at while having a delicious cocktail in a peaceful and artistic atmosphere. The drinks are very reasonably priced, the bartender lady is sooo sweet and welcoming, and the poodle pup who lives there are just cherry on top of this awesome hidden gem. Definitely recommended
