Thao and the rest of the workers go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I was simply walking by and they welcomed me into the shop and offered me free snacks and fruit and a chat. I ended up hanging out with them and having a couple drinks. I even came back a couple days later to see the train from their other coffee shop. I highly reccommend coming here if you want to socialise or have a tasty craft beer! Craft beer is 100k so be mindful of the cost before ordering :) they also have a small variety of food to choose from. Choo Choo

A very positive lady runs the place and brings every beer with a smile and a loud "choo choo". Upstairs there is some place to sit, which is nice to spend the better part of an hour. The place is next to the train track, like really next to it. Recommend if you like craft beer.

This place is great! Its not only a craft beer bar/cafe, you really get a whole show. The owners explain a little history, give out bottle caps you can press under the train, and are super friendly. Also you can tell they have a good relationship with thier neighbors who hangout outside too so it has a kind of community feel. Highly recommend 😊

Great location, great owner, and the craft beer is from 100 beer garden near west lake (yum). The owner speaks English and has a bright personality, she'll try to welcome you in if you walk by. Train comes by at 7pm on weekdays, and multiple times Sat and Sun. Also a great spot to people watch.

Visit here and you’re in for an unforgettable time! I know, you’re probably thinking it can’t be that good, but just check out the other reviews and you’ll see a similar pattern. We visited here after we were left unimpressed with the cafe touts who insist on ‘escorting’ us into train street to visit their coffee shop. We went here instead and couldn’t have been happier! Here’s why.... A - Food - is amazing! The sharing platter is very tasty and well priced. Check out the photo! A - Drinks - they have a well stocked fridge with various pale ales and even their own, local IPA called Choo Choo (very tasty!) A - For - great experience visit around 5-6pm for a drink (arrive earlier for food too) and then you’ll be escorted to train street to continue your drinks at the site of the original Railway bar. You will hear about the history and life on the street and will be immersed in this far more than the other bars and coffee shops. A - The owner and her small team do everything to make your visit amazing and also recommended other restaurants for us to try. Plus they do various community project work so you’re genuinely helping them to make a difference. Go here and you won’t regret it, plus you’ll get a much better experience.

We had such an awesome afternoon here. The noodle bowl and banh mi were both delicious. Loved the local craft brews and cider. The big bonus is the super friendly and helpful owner. Hugs all around. Hanoi is love!!!!

We heard about this coffee place before and were not disappointed! A pity it’s moved away from the train street but staff makes sure to keep on with good traditions they started when being part of the train street. This is not only a coffee shop it’s also community with nice and valuable traditions! Well done, guys, keep on the good work! Coconut coffee is a MUST! Loved it!

Lovely little quaint cafe along the railway. Very friendly staff. Wheat craft beer is really good, egg coffee is really good, passionfruit juice is really good. Just an all-round wonderful experience here. Staff was super cute too- would chime Choochoo with every delivery.

Love the people working here! Love the owner Thao! They give free English lessons to the youth and the elderly people on the railway street. They also trade Vietnamese lessons by practicing speaking English with you. Also the coffee is delicious! We loved the hot black coffee with fresh milk! And the egg coffee was unreal! They’ll also take you to see the train passing. Great people, great place, great experience!

👍👍 Sitting in a sea of bars and restaurants is Xofa Café & Bistro. It’s a cozy cafeteria to be in, especially after having a filling meal nearby. It also looks Christmas-y for its decor! At night, the al fresco setup is perfect for friends catching up.
