This place hates westerners. I live in Tay Ho and I've had 2 bad experiences here. Maybe its me, but there is a bartender here that loves to fight with westerners

Disappointed by very rude service and basically scammed. Went there at 8pm on a Tuesday and they have a board saying “happy hour buy one get one free Hanoi beer between 12pm and 9pm”. I ordered two and got charged for both. When I pointed out the board with the offer I was told “no”. Quite interesting. Maybe better remove the board if the offer is “no”?

Only been here in Hanoi a few days and this is already my favourite place. Banging music and a great atmosphere. Place to dance and drink and meet people from all over the world. Happy Hour from 5-10pm. Loads of outside seating, too!

Very rude staff/manager and horrible beer quality. I and my boyfriend ordered a Corona and Heineken, they didn’t open the beer bottles in front of us and they tasted the same. When we questioned the girl at the bar, she immediately started using bad words and told my bf to get out . I was shock with their attitude and afraid they will do bad thing to us so we left immediately. I definitely won’t recommend, you should avoid

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at The Local Bar in Hanoi, and I feel compelled to share my negative encounter. The service at this establishment was nothing short of abysmal. Upon standing at the bar with my two drinks I just ordered. The bartender after 10 mins poured my entire bottle of beer down the sink, which I had not even touched and was standing right next to. When I confronted him about his actions, expecting some form of acknowledgement, all I received was a dismissive response. He simply stated, "I thought it was finished," without showing any concern. To make matters worse, he refused to provide me with another beer and insisted that I pay for a replacement. It was a clear demonstration of their money-driven approach, caring more about profit than customer satisfaction. Hoping to find some resolution I approached another member of staff and expressed my dissatisfaction. However, to my dismay, my concerns did not matter. It was evident that there is blatant disregard for customer service and an unwavering focus on maximizing profits. I strongly advise others to steer clear of The Local Bar in Hanoi. While it may be busy, don't be fooled into thinking that good service comes along with it. The staff's primary objective seems to be extracting as much money as possible from unsuspecting customers, rather than providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience. With numerous other options available on the street, there is no need to subject yourself to such appalling service and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.

Felt like this place tried to rip us off, they brought us in with the happy hour but one get one free and my husband and I each got happy hour drinks there were two signs about the happy hour until 10 and it was 9:30 and the server again showed us which cocktails were happy hour, once they brought us the drinks the server told us no free no happy hour- what?? We told them then we would leave because we only came for happy hour and then they agreed it was free and we heard them telling others about happy hour as well, it feels like they are trying to scam you and is recommend you avoid this bar very sketchy

I love hanoi and Vietnamese people. This place is a disgrace to the country and hanoi. I ordered a sheesa and after 45 mins asked them for a coal change. I kept waiting for 20 mins and after asking almost all the staff for it they told me they were out of coal. Then when I approached the lady at the bar who was supposedly running the show, she said it been 2 hours and she can't give me any coal. Extremely rude and unprofessional behaviour. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

Never been inside yet but I once sat outside of the bar, enjoying the music. I could say I prefer the songs, music here the most. At least they turn on almost all of 'well-known' ones so that you can literally enjoy dancing while singing along too!

Great bar for foreigners, tourists! I love drinks and music here. Highly recommend

Don’t expect to keep your table if you have a small party. 2 of us got kicked out in favour of a large group before we’d even finished our drinks. Terrible, avoid at all costs.

Worst bar I have ever been to - period!!!! The staff have no idea what the customers have paid for. We argued with the staff for about 20 minutes about some f’n balloon that we already had paid for. Never going back, atleast until tommorrow night.

Nice bar, pay as you drink is reassuring which avoids bill issues! quick and good service, prices are good for the area. Good music and great atmosphere

Out of so many options while walking through beer street, I would recommend stopping by Local! Great buy one get one options! Good atmosphere with good music. The people working were friendly and welcoming. Will go next time we are in Vietnam.

One of the best places in the Old Quarters. Quiet enough to actually converse with people, but has the party vibe to it. Loved their rum cocktails.

I have been to Hanoi many times and been to many bar on Ta Hien Bar Streets but Ithis one is the Best Local Bar on the walking street in Hanoi ever! Friendly staffs, cheap drinks, happy hours till mid night as well as very nice music. For the music, we play or put in any we want which is great as I could all my fav one. Love this place xoxo

Really fun bar with good value drinks and deals, the staff are great too. They let you pick your own music most nights of the week which is an added bonus :)

First time in Hanoi and it was the first bar that I went to. Great Happy Hour times great and friendly staff and also it s in the middle if the famous beer street in hanoi so you will meet all different kind of foreigners. If you have any questions about the happy hour ask the staff cause its was confusing at start for me too. Enjoy 😉

Great Bar at Beer Corner Ta Hien in Ha Noi.

Best place in Ta Hien, literally. There are many bars nearby but they don't provide the "vibe" which was unique to the small space of this pub. People come and join together for a good fun. Compared to other bars, the music is better, more lyrical, but it still provides enough "heat" to make the place fun.

Decent beer and music, we sat outside. Looked busy inside but they couldn’t keep customers out front for long. Washrooms we’re kind of dirty but passable
