This was one the best places for Brunch in Hanoi, Vietnam. We all loved almost everything ordered from the menu. Quick service and a good tasty meal , high quality ingredients and fresh. You won't be disappointed here for sure. This place is near the famous Hanoi Street Train Check out the photos for all the dishes

This place has a really friendly vibe. I love how they have stickers of “accepting all” pasted on their door. staff can speak English well and the food was delicious and of huge portions. I visited here with my husband. We are a vegetarian and a vegan. We visited here on our last day just before we left for the airport. They kindly let us put our small luggage with them and Viet, one of the staff even volunteered to call a taxi for us to the airport because he said it was more expensive on “Grab” and even helped us with our bag all the way to the taxi!! Super nice of him! We love this place and will recommend all to come and chill here!

This is a great cafe. We stopped into here for breakfast and it was excellent. They have a varied menu, with some local, but mostly international dishes. The teas and coffees were also very good. Prices might seem higher than other places, but the portions were a good size.

The food was so good that we visited twice on the same day. We came here for breakfast and had the best grilled chicken sandwich ever. The sandwich is huge, and you can definitely share it with someone. We also took buttered toast with homemade jam which was also good. The seating arrangement is very cozy and welcoming. Definitely a must visit if you are nearby.

Okay this place is quite hep, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Hanoi and are looking for cafes to chill. This is a 3 stories cafe, it cannot be easily spotted and building looks run down. However, the place is quite the opposite. It’s got a very cool vibe, good mix of food options which are priced quite ok for the quality of food. There are good beverage (alcohol included) options + vegan options. I have also seen people working from here as well. Ambience - 10/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 9/10 I would recommend this cafe. I would visit here again if I’m in Hanoi!

Nice hipster cafe in Vietnam Hanoi but is a little inaccessible as the shop front is not very obvious. Staff is very friendly and speaks good English. Food is decent but nothing very fantastic. For the ambience and the relaxing vibe, is worth a try.

We had the burger, curry noodles, and drinks. Well priced. Good food and service. Best for me it’s in a street with little boutiques with cute ceramics and silk clothing, and that they customize the sugar level of the drink. Furniture is vintage-y and cute so it’s not that comfy if you wanna work-from-cafe. That being said, staff are great and are respectful of your space.

We accidentally discovered this hidden gem in the heart of Hanoi when looking for a nice, peaceful place to have Sunday breakfast with my wife. First, a real smile and a warm welcome were given to us. Everything else is high level experience after that! If you visit in the morning, head to the rooftop floor of their 3 floors. Regarding the food, just give everything a try, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended for brunch and breakfast! What a wonderful experience! Thanks once more, guys! We will visit you again for sure! Cheers!

I was still feeling hungry after my croissant at Tranquil Books so I decided to check this place out and have another Caphe Sua, but it was iced this time. I also opted to play it safe and go with the French Toast. I enjoyed both items, and would definitely recommend. This venue is divided into three levels. The photos in this review are from the third level which I found to convey a feeling of peace and calm. The live plants added to the charm.

Beautiful location, quirky, on three floors, very artsy. Coffee was great, food was good. We had Bircher Müsli and Pasta. Quite pricier than other places but overall a quite good experience. Would come back.

I had the burger, it was okay, not amazing for the price. The tofu crisps were great though. I could go back and just have those and a drink. The drinks were nice! I had lime tea and then a cocktail, can’t remember the name but it was really good. Just took a while to be made unfortunately

Really good breakfast & Pasta. The service is good, i liked the atmosphere & decoration there. We sat at the upper floor outside on the couch - very comfortable! They have also vegetarian/vegan options.

Quiet and chill place to relax and have a drink and food. We ordered spiced tofu chips, poached eggs toast and avocado toast. Spiced tofu chips is definitely a must try dish Beautiful aesthetic place

The Hanoi Social Club was recommended to me by at least 5 people who either live in, or have spent time in Vietnam. And I am so, so glad we visited on our first day in Hanoi! The Social Club Burger (Beef) was spectacular, as was their Pho Cocktail. The Grilled Chicken & Avocado Sandwich was underwhelming but the place itself made up for that. It’s a place set up in a very, very old building, almost too charming. The staff is super polite and helpful. A must visit in HANOI!

Beautiful place and chill vibe. Very beautiful outdoor seating at the top. Good place to hang out and relax. Would not recommend to come for food or drink beer as the service is incredibly slow (perhaps due to lots of stairs). The beer is also served not cold. The food quality is okay but not a must have amongst many food choices in Hanoi.

Lovely setting! We sat on the roof terrace and enjoyed a lovely relaxing afternoon. We are the special nachos and tried the special cocktail that was being offered. The staff were super friendly, especially Quyen, who helped us choose some food and was really attentive. Really recommend the veggie laksa- soooo yum!

Compared to the past visits (pre-covid). The menu has certainly seen some down sizing. However, the good items have been removed, for instance, Moroccan baked chicken with lentils. Regardless, their current food offerings is great. The atmosphere is also nice, service is decent and price to value ratio is also good. I would certainly visit.

A nice cafe bistro with western vibe in Hanoi old quater. Foods are tasty with acceptable price. Western or Vietnamese fushion foods with both options vergie or non vergie. Drinks are overprice Good decor but seating place is small and close to other.

My friend and I had breakfast here. We were the first customers since we came in at 9 in the morning and they were still cleaning the place. They were kind enough to apologise to us that they haven't finish cleaning yet. The staffs were very accommodating. The food was great and they came in really good portion. However, the coffee was not what I expected but overall it wasn't so bad.

Hanoi Social Club is both a social, a cultural and a culinary institution in Hanoi city centre! My last visit was - after dinner - a drag event on beautifully decorated rooftop. A valuefull special event, very different from the many dragshows in night clubs. thanks to all participants, organizers and helpers. KISS. 🏳️‍🌈😘🇻🇳. I decided to come here since many blogs recommended this place. It's located in a small alley in Hanoi's old town.   God atmosphere.  Excellent service by the English-speaking staff. It attracts a good mix of young expat & local clientele. The 2nd floor is a mix tables ideal for laptop work and some sala-type seats.  The 3rd floor is a beautiful open space with greens and rustic furniture. The place is just smaller than what I expected. The Bac Xiu (Milk Coffee) and Burger that I ordered were decent- at very reasonable prices. Overall, it's a good place to hang out - if you have a few extra days to spare in Hanoi. PRO TIP:  The best time to come might be at night since there's live music beginning at 8PM.

It was my first breakfast in Hanoi and everything was amazing, the setting was very cute! I discovered later that in Hanoi, lots of cafes have 3 floors :). The waiter first forgot my order and I reminded them after 40 minutes of waiting as I saw customer arriving after me getting served. They apologise by giving me something extra which was very nice (a energy ball with coconut). I ended up eating so so much but it was very tasty.

There is no photo of the grilled chicken sandwich, but only cos I devoured it. The service from the staff was incredibly attentive. Great portions of every dish. Laksa, zucchini fries and sandwich. Also, very charming space, too.

Relaxed cafe with super friendly staff and some of the best food ( vegetarian and non vegetarian) we have had in Vietnam in the last six weeks. The hot chocolate can best be described as liquid chocolate brownie. We visited twice and would definitely recommend it.

Such an amazing place with a great atmosphere. I came back multiple times to get the cottage cheese toast. Also they don’t play with their chocolate milk. It’s straight up chocolate sauce.

The ambience is nice. I think is a bit expensive for the flavour and portion you get. Hamburger of 150.000 dong… nothing special. I wouldn’t buy it again. Toasties with avocado and ricotta (140.000 dong) tasteless and again a little too much for what you get. The staff asked how was the meal and we gave them the feedback but they didn’t seemed to care.

Attracted by the good reviews so we decided to come here for our quick lunch in between back-to-back meetings. First impression was nice thanks to the atmosphere and its wall decoration. But not long after we sat there, even before the foods arrived, a middle-aged Vietnamese woman approached and asked how long we will be sitting here because there are "other people" wanted to sit at our table (for 4 but we were only 2). We said less than an hour and they can join us. We don't see any "other people". And the entire upstairs and other tables around us were empty. We thought that was quite MEAN. It felt to us that she just wanted to make sure we are not the kind of customers sitting for hours with one drink and laptop open. Not to mention the beef goulash was a teeth killer - too hard to chew, and the taste was too localised to the original one. We didn't enjoy our time as we thought we would.

Nothing special. This place cares so much about vegans and for non-vegans almost nothing to choose. Staff is ok, neutral. Coffee was good, but spinach on my toast was not delicious at all. As always, in the internet they have many nice pictures, in fact they have changed the menu.

We have been here twice. I believe it is a three story building. All the food we have tried has been delicious, fresh and one of the best in Hanoi. They offer a lot of vegeterian options and their menu caters mainly Western fusion food. They have a great selection of smoothies, coffees, juices and alcohol drinks. Their atmosphere is very artistic and vintage. Their staff speaks very good English and their customer service is great. They play only Western music in the background and their wifi is good. Overall, it's a great place to come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or if you want to read a book, or bring your computer to do some work. We really enjoyed it and most likely will continue to come back!

We enjoyed one of our best meals in Hanoi at the Social Club!! The seating was comfortable, we sat upstairs in the first floor and it was a welcome reprieve with the cooler and fans working. The food was delicious and flavoursome. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and good to taste. We had dishes of bacon and eggs and the French toast and a starter of tofu chips. Would highly recommend a visit and we will be returning again while we’re here on our holiday.

Great place and good food that you can spend a cozy afternoon and relax. The food are special, mostly good. The environment is great, like finding a paradise when I was here. Will be there the second time.

Eclectic chic with old world influence, Hanoi Social Club delivers on atmosphere, charm and hospitality. All day breakfast, menu is extensive, and there are a plethora of drinks to choose from. I’m not sure if it was the day or what, but when we went on Saturday afternoon the delivery of our food took over 30 minutes, and we waited at least 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Food was ok, but lacking in overall flavor, and friend’s cocktails were mediocre. My kombucha ginger cocktail was delicious! Gorgeous terrace to sit out on during the evening when it’s cooler. Overall it’s lost a bit of its excellence over time. Cute place for groups of friends.

Tucked into a small alley the social club is a quit quaint place. The ambiance is chilled out and cozy. There are 3 levels to sit from the ground floor to the top floor (2nd) rooftop outside sitting. The food is served hot and fresh. The portions are generous and flavorful. Must say it sis a place to just sit around and get brunch with a few pals. The place also does evening live shows/specials. The staff is helpful and courteous.

One of the best brunch date we have when we are in Hanoi. Love the vibe, vintage decor and French toast to the perfection.

  • 5/5 Lex C. 2 years ago on Google
I came here twice, both were winter days. The first time was kind of okay, and as it was a busy day so the service was slow. It took around 30’ for the food to arrive. I wasn’t really impressed with my goulash and my friend found her salad mediore. I did love the mulled wine though so on the 2nd time, I ordered it again. This time the service was much better. Food was great, serving time was short and the atmosphere was pretty chill. The receptionist/waiter was very friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. A couple of things the restaurant could improve on: - The small tables are quite small for 2 people to dine on if you happen to carry a handful of stuff with you. Generally the tables on the 3rd floor are a bit short compared to the chairs, so it’s kind of awkward to sit and eat at the same time. Plants could use a bit of trimming. - Some areas on the 2nd floor need more lighting, especially the staircase. - I know THSC is more likely a hipster place with heaps of vegan food, but it would be fantastic if the chef could include something with much less carbs and more proteins for meat lovers such as myself. Overall, this is a great brunch place to chill. I might try dinner here next time though.

Food generally good. Liked the polenta fries and lentil pasta. Laksa was ok. There was a noodle dish with a peanut sauce whose name I forget that was good too. Unfortunately, don't have food pictures.

The cafe had three floors and each floor had a different vibe. We chose to sit on the terrace. We went there for brunch. The place had enough vegetarian options. We ordered a vegetarian burger. The bun was really soft and fresh, the bean patty tasted really good, the sauces blended well with both. I loved the burger. The vegetarian sandwich was not that great, I did not like the tempeh too much. The mango juice tasted fresh and nice. The Vietnamese coffee and hot egg coffee were delicious. The chicken sandwich was good as well. It's a great place to just sit and chill or work. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. You could go there for brunch with friends and have a good relaxed time.

Food came not properly seasoned and no even salt on the table, for tissues - you must ask the waitress, she put the chopsticks directly on the table, what’s really unhygienic as they didn’t clean the table after me for a next customer. And shrimp had uncleaned intestines. Maybe some other position in the menu are better, but I wouldn’t come back.

  • 4/5 Sreenjoy C. 1 year ago on Google
Very cute place tucked in an alley. Interior is pretty adorable and the vibe is great. Had the burger, which was recommended. Not the greatest meal but it was good. Service is very warm and friendly and food comes out quick. Might be back to try out some of the other selections on the menu.

Great vibes, great service, delicious food. A lot of tourists come here for whatever that’s worth. Loved everything we tried. The homemade kombucha is amazing. Goulash, Bahn Mi, and green bean salad were great. Their bread is wow, I don’t usually eat bread but I ordered more it was so good. Strong wifi, accepts credit card, good place to work as well.

  • 3/5 Micky V. 1 year ago on Google
I don’t go out to eat so I can make my own meal. The avocado toast came cold and deconstructed. No flavor. Cold toast. Cold roasted tomato. Sliced onions and dates. Avocado wasn’t ripe and was just sliced. If you guys want to make an avocado toast do it right. Make a mash with some flavor and texture. Organize the dish so it’s ready to eat. And toast the bread. Picture 1 how it came. Picture 2 is after I put it together so I could eat it. The Three stars are for the egg coffee which was good. Service. And ambiance.

I liked the environment and the design. Food was great. Staff was also friendly. We took a sandwich and a coffee. I feel the price for the sandwich was a bit high for Vietnamese standards. It felt a bit touristic but overall I would go back.

I think this place is a hidden gem! If you want some western food combined with some asian flavors you should definitely visit the social club! The food is delicious, staff is great and the atmosphere is something in between a jazz club and old bistrot! The second floor is very cozy with a nice living room with sofas and guitars! Social burger was amazing, and also the tempura was well prepared!

Tasty chilled vibes! 3 floors of comfy chairs, great menu with lots of options, amazing selection of drinks and tasty food. We both went for pasta which didn’t disappoint! Very nice! And I would highly recommend the Zucchini fries as they were my favourite! 🍝🍸🍺😄

very tasty food! portions are large and filling. The coffee and tea are just amazing! and the interior deserves a special mention - it's worth visiting this place just for the sake of it! Even the toilet as an art object!

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Plenty of different seating areas. Music is a bit too loud for my taste, but still I was able to relax here a few hours and get some work done. Pretty affordable for western tourists. I would recommend!

This cafe was so great! My husband used to hang out here 10 years ago when he lived in Hanoi as an ex-pat. We came back to visit and check it out and were pleasantly met with the same cafe that hasn't changed much in a decade. The wait staff were incredibly attentive, checking in with us, they spoke some English too. The atmosphere is so cute and chill for relaxing with beautiful local art on every wall, live music on certain days, and a great rooftop garden room too. The food was delicious, as were the drinks! I really can't complain about anything here, so happy it's still around and I got to experience this gem in Hanoi 💕🥰☺️ We got the social club burger, a banh mi, the chai tea, polenta fries, french fries, and the vanilla pistachio ice cream. Every item was delicious. Would highly recommend!

My partner and I have been here while in Hanoi and we had a great time. We arrived at 8am and we had the special recommended coffee and tofu salt and pepper sandwich! It was delicious! The sandwich was big enough for sharing! It was super tasty! There was some lounge music too. Vet the manager was super friendly! I would recommend this place.

Went here twice in one week and let me just say the food never disappoints. The first time, we had dinner and the ambience in the store is amazing. My friend and I devoured the vegan mushroom pasta and the burgers are also delish. The second time, we went for a late lunch and it was again, amazing. The stir fried rice noodle is great and our friend that had the laksa was also raving about it. Definitely recommend!
