Interesting museum about B-52 attack to Hanoi. Not so big, but entrance is free. Most of labels is also in English. Outside is big part of B-52, Mig-21 and some air defence weapons. Parking for motorbikes is next to museum and it was also free.

It's free to get in, just check the opening times. Huge wreckage of a B52 there as well as a MIG and some flak guns from the war, very interesting place.

This place is a must visit if you like seeing aircraft (even downed ones!) They have reconstructed one of the B52s taken down by a SAM2 missile. It’s not a big place, you can easily go round it all in less than an hour. Edit: Note: You can only enter via 'Doi Can' road. There is no open public entry from the back/lake-side.

It is a National Museum to show Hanoi’s defense against the bombing raids by the American B-52 bombers. Take only 15 min for a quick walk about or 35 mins to see every exhibit; each exhibit has a short write-up of its purpose & history. A must visit for war buffs or historians.

We visited this museum with the Jeep tour where our guide explained that this B52 bomber was shot down over Hanoi. You can also find equipment used by Vietnam at that time to shoot those planes down.

I honestly cannot believe this is free. I had a great time visiting. There is a B52, MiG21, and various AAA/SAM and radar exhibits outside. Inside, there are 2 floors on the Vietnam War.

Free to enter and look around, just the garden is open to see. I think they shut off the exhibition pieces inside. It's totally free.

Free museum, but the main building is in renovation during my visit, should take you no more than 15 to 20 minutes to see all the outside exhibits. Suggest to go to Huu Tiep Lake too to see the drowned B52 among the residential area, it is only about 10 minutes easy walk through some narrow streets of Hanoi. Well worth the visit with this Museum.

Vietnam war museum showing the Vietnam's point of view. Military weapons and equipment, amongst other things coĺlected from the war on display. Was totally empty when I went, and there was no sign of members of staff. Worth a visit if you have some time to kill or have an interest in the war. Wouldn't say would be worth the journey otherwise.

Also closed when I arrived ill upload a picture of opening times. Google maps told me the entrance was at the back, its not, its on the main street. I spent 20 minutes walking through winding back alleys. After waiting a few minutes they opened the gates...take that america.

Some interesting and reasonably well preserved artefacts. Seeing the hulking scale of a mangled B-52 Stratofortress [assumedly assembled from multiple downed aircraft] is pretty impressive. Inside, a succinct recent history of conflict in Vietnam. Free entrance.

No matter what, the war is crucial and a disaster to everyone. Let’s cherish the peace, and hopefully no more war will ever happen again.

Lots of war equipment here to see. Remnants of B52 bomber shot down. The other bit of it is in a pond by the lake. Admission was free.

Simple but very interesting museum, very much worth the visit. The building houses one larger room with pictures from the Vietnam war and the struggle for the independence before it. Outside there is a well preserved MiG 21 and a lot of AA artilery and radars. Joined wreck of a B52 bomber is a testament to the size of the plane and the sturdiness of its construction as the parts are still holding up in quite a good condition

Wreckage of a B52 from the war is at the entrance of the museum. Lots of interesting war relics, photographs and information about the war. Not busy when I was there and admission is free.

A lovely historical reference point for the Indochina War, the Vietnam war, and other war operations, plus an outdoor example of Hanoi air defense. A downed B52 is semi-reassembled on the ground, near two antiaircraft guns, which were used to down the aircraft in 1963. A somber reality of what war means when force is required to be used. Worth the visit.

This shows the history of the Vietnam war with America back in 1970's..... It has the weapon that supported vietnam in war given by the Russians and Chinese to counter USA's plane...the debris of the plane is there as well

Rather small museum. Not a lot of explanation of what you are actually seeing. If you are in the neighborhood- then go see it, but do not expect a whole lot. Also walk to the “B52 Lake” 500 meters from the museum. Here you can see the B52 that crashed in the little lake in the middle of Hanoi.

Great place to go. Far as I know this place has the most complete b 52 in the country. It's not all there bit 80 percent of it is the rest of it is still in a lake nearby

Free to enter, it isn't the best but definitely worths seeing. Museum has a massive B-52 wreck in the garden together with some small war planes and artilleries. Inside the museum there many photos with explanations.

This museum is delicate to the B52 that was shot down over Hanoi during the bombing. Only the burn out incomplete fuselage is left. There are also some AA artillery weapons that was used during the Vietnam war conflict that was credited in downing some USAF combat jet. A MiG 21 is also on display. Only the outdoor display was available for viewing as the main exhibition hall is under renovation. No too far from here is a pond with a down B52 inside.

Was there for the afternoon tour. Person showed up 15min late. Thats a norm here. Eventually its open and the buildings is locked. Bikes and car standing there. No one there at all. Best part is, a lot of people came when we left and all are disappointed. Just my opinion

  • 1/5 Vicky H. 1 year ago on Google
Still closed for renovations or building of the museum. You can however go onto the work site to view the remains of the bombers, some bombs and guns. The B52 bomber in the nearby lake is much more impressive for anyone coming to Hanoi

Make sure you come prepared. There is almost no English in this building so you will need Google translate, a guide, or several years to become fluent in Vietnamese. Despite that, it's a remarkable place with an incredible display of wartime history.

Fascinating to see the remains of a flying fortress brought down whilst carpet bombing Hanoi. Inside the main building there are photographs and artefacts from the conflict.

(Translated by Google) It has been 50 years now that I look back to a time that I have seen 12 times US planes crashed over Hanoi and Hai Phong, including B52 on fire. The B52 victory museum is not very large, retaining the once glorious victories of the army and people of the North, looking at the cannons and rocket launchers helped by the Soviet Union proudly, the guerrilla squadron Vietnamese radiator is very good, brave, coping with American B52 aircraft without fear of sacrifice, heroic combat always wins, For me please consider it as a memory in the past, a memory of A time of tragedy for the Vietnamese people. Now, living in the present, I hope I never see these images again. The museum is also empty of visitors, hoping the past gradually goes into the past to have a peaceful life in peace forever. (Translated by Google) This is the historical place of the resistance of our people against American imperialism, especially the 12-day war on Dien Bien Phu in the air. Here, the body of the American imperial B52 aircraft was shot down by the Hanoi Air Force. Inside the museum, there are many weapons and applications of our troops and people in that war. B52 Victory Museum is located on Doi Can street. People traveling by car to visit the museum must go from Ngoc Ha to turn, because Doi Can street is a one-way street banned from cars. The museum's parking space is quite small. Hope that a lot of Hanoi people will visit.
