For anyone traveling to Vietnam - I highly recommend you go to this park. Not touristy and a space where you can see locals playing sports, running with groups, fishing, boating, and enjoying the space. There are an array of activities to do from running around, sitting down at a cafe inside of the park, rowing on swan boats, painting pottery, playing sports, or just sitting and enjoying the view. It is a wonderful spot and very close to some delicious cafés as well! One of the best places in Hanoi in my opinion.

It's like Central Park in Hanoi. From here, you can see the Eiffel Tower in Hanoi, take a duck boat, take the tourist train, and you can do fishing. It is an interesting place to enjoy every things. It is one of the few precious places to jog in Hanoi as well. A little unfamiliar, but a wonderful place where you can get a glimpse of the leisure time of Hanoians. Overall extraordinary park in Hanoi.

Beautiful and spacious park! Best one in Hanoi I’ve visited so far. You can bring small dogs but not big ones. That’s perfect for my little puppy 😃

It depends on what you look for at a park, this place is perfect for morning exercises. Many retired people for middle age people and some young people come here for morning walk, runs or dancing. The biggest periphery is 3 km and the one next to water is 2.2 km. There are many simple coffee in the park, but not at high quality. The toilets or other facilities are also quite simple and not highly maintained.

Amazing local markets! My friends & I were driving by when we noticed the markets out the window so we had our grab driver drop us off early & we were so happy we did! So many cute options for winter! Love love love! The park next to the markets was super lovely as well & had several kids out played. Would definitely recommend!

The biggest park in town. The park offer green space, lots of tree and there is also a lake inside. This is such a good place for jogging, walking and get some fresh air, away from the traffic and polluted streets out there.

Cleanest and best park in Hanoi. Maybe it should be on my list to go on my vacation again this month. Trees are really shady and green. Perfect place for exercise. Good place I recommend all of the people should come.

Probably one of my top 3 places in Hanoi. I love visiting this park and sitting by the lake to read. It's very quiet until 4pm when locals start exercising and the restaurants start to get ready. It's beautiful to walk by too. I highly recommend it.

C 2 miles away from Old Quarter, and a mile away from Ga Hanoi, lies this big, green and spacious park, which surrounds the Bay Mau Lake. The park has multiple entry and exit points. It is well maintained, has two or three tracks in most of the park area ( including one right going right beside the lake ), some recreational spaces for activities like yoga and a few cafes in the premises. The whole lap around the park is about ~1.25 miles. The park did look a bit dim at various stretches, but no criticism is intended by mentioning the same. Also, toilets seem to be limited, just 2, and one of them was smelling a bit. Water fountain was available at one of the places, and it also had some good flower plantations alongside it. Overall, its a good park to come and have a walk or run. One can feel the fresh air when going around. There are benches to sit at regular points. It's open till 10 pm, and has no entry fee.

4/5 A good big park with ample space, play area and community spots. The park is immaculately kept and every detail is spot on. We were there when a farmer's market was taking place and it was interesting to see the different stalls lined up for the event. We spotted a great number of people playing, walking and cycling.

I stumbled upon this park randomly around 4pm. It's a very lively park with many locals doing handfuls of different activities. The walk around the body of water is a perfect way to wind down just before the sun sets. The temperature was just right. I noticed a lot of people exercising and engaging in sports (like badminton and fishing). I saw some local cool kids skateboarding. So many cute dogs as well! As a tourist, I especially enjoyed seeing the locals doing their own thing. I was tempted to join the group of men kicking around to what I think is a modified shuttlecock. It looked like a mix of hacky sack/volleyball (with your feet). I noticed there were swan boats, a roller coaster, bumper cars and a little train that goes around the park. However, all those activities we're not being used. I wonder why? Do they still operate? I would love to know because doing the swan boat on the lake would be quite an enjoyable experience. I definitely recommend everybody to come check this park out if you wanted to kill some time or even enjoy a leisurely walk without all the chaos from the streets.

A really pleasant and expansive swathe of greenery, with a diverse range of facilities for different recreational pursuits - ranging from running, walking, callisthenics (using sturdy dip and pull up bars), and rollerblading. The large lake at the centre of the garden has a smaller - most likely artificial - island on its western side, which can be accessed by a medium sized hump bridge. The garden itself is walled off from the surrounding roads and makes for an incredibly nice weekend stroll, with the guarantee of fresh air, though none relating to haze. There are a lot of lakeside benches and others in quieter spots, plus pedal boats on the southern shore of the lake. One can access the garden at various spots, including opposite the following roads: Tue Tinh, and Ngo 55 Pho Van Ho. There are also multiple entrances along Dai Co Viet, and Duong Le Duan. However, what I really like is the running track around the perimeter of the lake, which is set back from this body of water and which is approximately 2.5 km in length.

Although Thong Nhat park is relatively small compare to other well-known botanical parks worldwide, its total area of 50 hectare provides an excellent entertaining place for the locals. Located in the middle of a busy area, once entered, you’ll feel fresh and undisturbed in mind. This is definitely a place that worth a visit when you want to have a quiet and tranquil place to revitalize yourself

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, Thong Nhat Park is the perfect spot! This serene park is filled with lush greenery, beautiful lakes, and a jogging trail. You can even rent bikes and explore the park’s hidden corners. You can park your bike or scooter at the gate. It is free to visit the park.

Statue of Vladimir Lenin is the main feature and is nice; whatever you think of his politics. The park itself is a well-kept green space where locals hang our playing cards and other games. Parks in Vietnam are generally well-kept. Worth a stroll through if you’re passing by!

  • 3/5 Sir G. 4 years ago on Google
The park is really big, the cons focused more on maintenance and cleanliness. It's fine to charge for parking but charging for an entrance isn't fair since anyone can pass using different routes. The exit staff also asking for the paper tickets before you leave, which can be recycled. Services? Not much. When we visited, a weekend market occupied parts of the park. Still a good place to relax or exercise but not for rainy days.

A really well kept park, with an army of gardeners working away. The lake is very large and for the middle of the city, it is only just one of many in Hanoi. The park is very peaceful when you are inside. As outside the city is just buzzing 24/7. It costs 4000 dong to get into the park. But it is money well spent. Even though I told the woman on the gate that Ho Chi Minh would be turning in his grave if he knew that a peoples park was not free entry. :-)

Clean nice lake.Good for evening and morning walks. Cool place to just sit and watch nature peacefully. I visited as tourist and the park was very close to my hotel In the heart of the city. Has loads of hotels nearby .

Big, open and always full of activity. Avoid hours like after 6 and you'll be fine. Different gates have different entrance prices though which is kinda scummy. Check out the mirror house and the little island in the lake. Also a decent place to fish from what I've seen.

Love this park 😉 It's so peaceful, green, well taken care of, clean and there are many walking paths to explore around the lake 💚 In the late afternoon it's full of people jogging, meditating, fishing, playing sports or dancing. Great place to relax and soak up some nature 🌴

at the far end of the old quarter, this park sits almost hidden from view behind the city trees and cars of main front street. only after crossing and walking along the border does on come to the entrance, which is on either side. there is an entrance fee of 20k VND (88¢). the park on the day i was there was empty except for about 20 other people at various places, which given the size of the park made it feel abandoned.

Hội chợ nên đồ gì cũng đắt, bánh bao 15k 1 cái ăn chán.
