Chanced upon this little shop in Hanoi with a great personality. The owner was there and I enjoyed the lovely conversation. Bought a spray linen which the owner collaborated with a scent maker to develop. It consists of a few themes like old quarter Hanoi, coriander, etc. I got one for a gift. I would recommend you to stop by and have a chat with the owner and let her share her little stories about the inspiration of her different products.

Spent a lovely afternoon discussing the new art scene in Vietnam at Collective Memory and made a good friend. Thx for the great convo Nga Hoang! This store is very intelligently curated by a wonderful couple and I picked up some stunning little things for the house and a few gifts for friends such as candles, ornaments and ceramics. Also got a few new pieces to add to the collection by up-and-coming local artists, many of which have been personally commissioned by the store. If you are ever in Hanoi check them out and avoid the junky tourist souvenirs you find at every night market and help support local artists instead. Prices very reasonable and clearly thought out. Support Local Businesses and Art!

Did a 20 minutes Christmas run for all of my family members here. The stuff were super cute and I simply couldn’t resist! It ment to be a nice 5 star rating without this plot twist when the lady owner threw me a change of heart, calling me “so indecisive” and ask me to leave after my purchase. I admit coming back from the door to buy 1 more bottle of linen spray wasn’t so decisive, but it was 20 minutes in prior to the closing time. If she’s in a rush to close the shop she shouldn’t had wasted a 5 minute investigation about my background (where I’m from / who am I shopping for etc.) while I was shopping. Well never again!

Buyer beware because this store is dangerous for your bank account!!! 😭 I was walking down the street in Hanoi just looking for souvenirs and this store looked very unique. And I was right. They sell prints from tons of local Vietnamese artists as well as other crafts. I walked away with so many prints. The artwork was of all varied genres, but all generally very modern. Great for a maximalist like me.

Love love this shop. Firstly the owners are lovely, welcoming. The first thing you feel when walking around their shop and love. It might sound silly but they clearly have picked every items in their shop and they are all special. From parfum, to teacups, cards, clothes, aprons, tote bags and many more, it will be hard to leave without buying anything. Everything is so special. It’s a very unique shop in Hanoi where you will find some amazing presents for others or maybe for yourself!!

My friend and I absolutely loved going to this shop--it's the perfect place to shop for some unique souvenirs that you won't find at other places in the city. They have a great selection of home goods, posters, and beautiful small gifts for friends and family. I got a poster and they were able to roll it up carefully into a small tube to fit nicely into my suitcase. Don't pass this one up!

Very cute and fun store to browse, everything with a local flair but hip to international items and trends. We got the print where the Hanoi stools are all pictured with Vietnamese diacritics - I saw that print in a banh mi shop and found this shop just for that! Do stop in to Collective Memory, there are really nice items for souvenirs.

Beautiful and reasonably priced curated brands and pieces. Some items are hard to find elsewhere. My bf bought a card game called Traffic 01! (set in Vietnam, of course) and we bought two Eugenie Darge Textile Creations Table Runners. When I come back to visit Hanoi, I would definitely shop here again.

A hidden gem in Hanoi ✨ Small shop that features vietnamese designers and supports the beauty of art in itself. You'll find yourself lost in the selection they have. This shop is an ABSOLUTE MUST for ever traveler seeking those special souvenirs~ P.S. they do ship worldwide; if you're running out of space in your backpack

Here you’ll find unique goodies perfect for gifts and souvenirs. The lady (assumed she’s the owner) is very helpful and knowledgeable about her products. My partner bought a perfume spray and at first she had a hard time deciding which scent to buy because all were distinctively good.

Made multiple trips to Collective Memory...my recommended first and last stops for shopping while visiting Hanoi. The shop is perfectly kept with locally made, high quality gifts at reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed chatting with the friendly owner and I continue to follow them @collectivememory.vn.

Coolest store I’ve been to! When found this amazing shop by going to Banh Mi 25, we sat eating out sandwiches and were amazed and jealous of the art on the walls. We asked and they showed us Collective Memories. We instantly went there in search of those art pieces and were blown away buy the art pieces in the store. The way that the store supports local artists and stores is amazing, I’m magnificent displays of their work with detailed descriptions behind the pieces. They sell everything from teapots to oven mittens. I bought an art piece and a notebook and they wrapped it up very well. They rolled up my image and put it in a roll for me to take home. They recommended me an amazing coffee shop called Lily’s Coffee which was also amazing. Would recommend everyone to this store and will encourage my friends to buy from them anytime.

I randomly found this gem of a shop in Hanoi, as I was looking for a propaganda-poster shop in the same street, that I've visited 6 years ago. The old shop was gone, however I'm glad a bumped into the collective memory shop. They sell lovely art prints for a fair price, and hundreds of other arty articles that would make the best holiday gift or souvenir of Hanoi. I left the shop with 4 prints, and a book. By the way, the owners are super kind, and very helpful. Thanks to their recommendation, we had an amazing last dinner in the city, before flying back home on the same evening. Totally recommended !

A concept store with products selling unique products made by local artisans. Everything is meaningfully curated. You will not find kitschy keychains or mass produced souvenirs here. The founder is friendly and took the effort to explain more about the products. Well worth a visit!

Such a nice store! Loads of cute souvenirs like candles, prints and even perfume that have little nods to Vietnamese culture! Not your typical dime a dozen kind of stuff at all— this store is truly a gem if you’re looking for more unique gifts. The owners were so friendly and helpful too and took the time to chat with me even though I was there pretty close to closing time. Highly recommend having a look if you’re in Hanoi! It’s right by the cathedral too so great location if you’re already out sightseeing.

This store has such a beautiful aesthetic, and there is a variety of unique gifts and artwork, which are meant to be bought to complement your own home and lifestyle. Highly recommend for anyone in Hanoi.

Such a beautiful shop!! They sell different products made in Vietnam and inspired in the traditional vietnamese culture, true pieces of art! You can find pictures, artworks and decoration, bags and wallets, perfumes, candles, pottery... and even cruelty free cosmetics made in Vietnam. If you are looking for a meaningful present or you want a souvenir for yourself from Vietnam, this is your place! The lady was very friendly and gave me all kind of explanations about the products.

Very nice shop with unique pieces! The owner is friendly and we could try the liquor before buying it. They wrapped up everything so we could put it in our luggage for the flight home. Highly recommend.

Good place, the products don’t reflect the brand name so there are a lot of items on consignment from different shops like a minisize market. Most are ceramic (cups) and girly dresses, the rest are either made in China or hand drawn from local artist. But I’ve seen these arts all around the city by now. The staff is a bit salesy but also friendly, the store front is quite hard to find because of a fancy store sign.

The items were very unique and original. I haven't seen any of their stuff on other stores. If you want unique, artisan and high quality gifts, I absolutely 100% recommend this place. The owners were very lovely as well! We had a very healthy and warm conversation. See you again soon, Lim and Lieam :)

An excellent higher end souvenir shop filled with incredibly tasteful items adorned with beautifully vibrant designs, ranging from cushions and scarves through to totes and t-shirts (with some very simple designs). If you’re looking for food based gifts they also have these, including coconut oils and teas.

I’m so glad that I found this place on Google maps. They have really cute items that are perfect for gifts and souvenirs. Everything is so unique, which I didn’t see in many other gift shops. I got some prints and a perfume named Hanoian. It smells so good that I’m obsessed 💕 The owners are super friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our little chat together and they recommended us some local places for food, drinks and massages. Such a cute little place! 10 out of 10!

A very nice little shop located in a nice area. The staff is so kind and helpful! When I realized that I would not have time to visit the store again during its opening hours as I was out of town for a couple of days, they arranged delivery to my hotel. I bought a beautiful print and a lovely perfume. I highly recommend Collective Memory!

So I also visited 5+ gift shops around this area and knew about this shop. Hands down the coziest shop! Stuff was really friendly and kind. Prices can shock someone compared to other cheap souvenir shops, but this shop is super authentic and the items are not Chinese quality stuff. Really recommend this shop for everyone who wants a really good quality gift from Vietnam. I spent around 100 euros here for Christmas presents and I know my family will be super happy with the stuff I bring from Vietnam. 🙂
