We had a very good meal here, authentic Vietnamese. We ordered vegetarian noodle soup and fried tilapia with passion fruit sauce and they were both delicious. We also asked for extra herbs on the side and those were delivered promptly as well. Friendly staff, clean place, good food. We would come here again and recommend it to others. One big bonus is that they take card, not always the case in Vietnam. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We came here due all the great reviews but were underwhelmed. For the price we expected great taste & presentation and ambiance. The latter was good, but the taste was not great. My Chà Ca was “fishy & oily” tasting, and I would’ve expected a higher quality dish in a place like this, at least white mild tasting. My husband got the chicken cooked in a bamboo tube - again presentation great but it was bland! Only good was the egg rolls. With the huge amount of delicious choices in this area, we will not be coming here again. It’s not bad(!), but it’s not worth it.

The food was incredible! We spent our last night in Vietnam dining here and it definitely did not disappoint! So reasonable priced, fresh/tasty food and lastly, lovely staff. Anne showed us how to eat bun cha in the traditional way and WOW it was amazing! She was so helpful and friendly. We also had another male server that taught us the correct combination to eat the pancakes. They were so friendly and always ensured we were looked after. This experience really allowed us to immerse into the Vietnamese culture and food. Thanks again!

Definitely a must if you're in Vietnam, they seem to make every traditional dish perfectly. The service is friendly, fast and they go above and beyond to make your dining experience the best. I got served by Winni and she guided me through the menu and even showed me how to eat my order. It was extremely helpful and I cant wait to come back.

A great option for vegetarian those who want to experience the Vietnamese cuisine. Waitress Lila was awesome in explaining the dishes. The service is quite fast. I will come back to try other vegetarian dishes.

We entered the restaurant little late around closing time but the host Anna was very sweet and let us in. Food options: We were looking for veg, seafood and chicken options and this place had many items to choose from. They also have variety of pork and beef dishes. Quantity: The portion size is really good. One portion is enough for two people Quality and taste: The food tasted delicious. We tried savoury dishes which had a nice balance of freshness and crunch to it. Service: The host Anna is a very sweet lady, friendly. The staff is good and courteous. Overall: It’s one of the places you should visit for food if you are in Hanoi for delicious food and great service. You will walk out with a full tummy and happy faces.

Found this restaurant 1km away from where we stay. Good review in Google so went there to try out. Basically this restaurant is cater towards foreigners, not local. The servers are friendly and work fast. Majority of the dishes are good except the fried noodle with vegetable, it's tasteless. The price is reasonable & the food taste suits tourists because it is not spicy and the portion is just nice for a person. The restaurant is very small so usually all tables are occupied, if you don't want to wait for more than 30 mins, please come early. If you order a beer, please request for ice cube because their beer is not cold enough. The egg coffee is good though.

Very nice Vietnamese food! Tasty and is served fast. Is quite full but David and his team is very efficient to get people seated. Tables are a bit small, so if you order a lot, better to eat up quick. Recommended to make a reservation to get seated quickly though. The Vietnamese pancakes are interesting as it's served with rice paper to make into rolls. In fact, if you have left overs, you can turn anything into a roll! 🤣 Also would recommend the desserts here. The pudding and yogurt desserts are yummy!

There's a reason the reviews are so good. Definitely try the pillow with beef, shrimp 🍤 and pork salad and the black rice pudding with yogurt is something we went back to this place. Great staff, happy and confident with smiles.

David is an amazing host and treated us with utmost attention. One of the better restaurant experiences I have had here in Vietnam. Would most definitely come back. The food was delicious, although there were limited options for vegetarians and for mostly all dishes the sauce was the same, but still everything was quite okay!

Omg if u r craving for tasty vegan Vietnamese food. This is a place to be. After travelling for a week I wanted to have vegetarian spicy stir fried noodles and when they served it - it was so delicious. Full of veggies and spices. Loved every bit of it. The staff is very helpful - the place is always busy. Must go

My recent visit to a traditional Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi left me thoroughly impressed. The authenticity of the cuisine, combined with a warm ambiance, created an unforgettable experience. A highlight was the exceptional service from Min, my server, whose friendly demeanor and extensive menu knowledge elevated the dining experience. From duck to aromatic spring rolls, each dish showcased Vietnam's rich culinary heritage. The restaurant's ambiance, with tasteful decor provided the perfect backdrop. Overall, this establishment is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic taste of Vietnam, with Min's outstanding service adding an extra layer of excellence.

Food is very delicious and healthy with a lot of vegetables. Atmosphere is very vintage Vietnam. Clara is the staff who teach us how to eat Vietnam style grilled pork. She is very friendly, helpful with great service mind. Definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Didn't enjoyed my dîner as I did in other Hanoi restaurants. The food is good but the quantities are really small portions at least for the two main courses that we took. The staff seems ti try really hard to make a good quality service but the dishes came not in order ( main dish before starters) and I had my main dish only when my husband finished his. The restaurant atmosphere was really disappointing.. the walls paint fallen off, the tables are in a small hallway . If you search for a nice atmosphere it s definitely not where you need to go. If it's for a fair price restaurant avoiding the street food it might be a good option.

Very nice Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Hanoi. The pork lemongrass sticks, fried rice with shrimp and the Hanoi style fish were delicious, but I give 4 and not 5 stars because the banana flower salad is a very delicate flavour and too much carrot on it, like the one served here, hides it completely. Anyway, it's a good place to have a nice meal in Hanoi.

We had a wonderful meal. They have plenty of vietnamese dishes both with vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The restaurant is beautiful with a very peaceful atmosphere. The staff was friendly and taught us how to eat some of the dishes the right way.

Really great food! There was a group of 6 of us, so we had to wait a little for a table, which is understandable! We ordered a lot on the menu, including yummy pancake starters, tasty summer rolls and really delicious pork lemongrass skewers. We did go on reunification weekend, and they were really understaffed so there were lots of mistakes. Food was forgotten, and some starters came out after mains had been finished. We had to wait over 40 minutes for a pineapple juice too. They were super apologetic and I get things can get busy! But overall, great food. The prawns and seafood were cooked really well, not chewy at all, and the beef and green pepper was great. Thanks!

Have just enjoyed a great meal here. The seafood spring rolls were some of the tastiest I have had in some time. I had braised fish which had lovely deep sauce and my daughter had the roasted port belly which she says was some of best she has ever had. Thank you for a great meal. thanks .

We ordered the deep fried rice noodle pillow with stir-fried beef, grilled chicken in bamboo tube, sautéed duck with fresh mushroom & onion along with the spring rolls in three way (6pcs) and the local Hanoi Beer and BIA Saigon Special Beer. Stir-fried beef was soft and succulent and the grilled chicken was really tasty and special being served in a real bamboo. Entire meal was absolutely value for money and the waitress, Lila, was a good host to us and came to us whenever we asked for something, definitely visiting again!

The place was busy when we arrived but we only had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes until a seat became available. We were seated upstairs on the balcony and it was fun to have the view of the street. David was the manager and was also serving people. He did a great job and so did the team. We ordered the vegetable curry and the spring rolls. The spring rolls were fresh and light, and the curry was tasty.

We’ve been in Hanoi for 4 nights and 3 of those we have eaten at Met! It’s awesome. Fresh, delicious, local food, served hot and beautifully presented. The staff are amazing, working their backsides off to keep the tables turning and the guests happy. Shout out to Clara, David, Peter, and the 2 sweet girls who man the cashier. Cannot recommend highly enough!!

If you're looking for a decent reasonably priced restaurant for authentic Vietnamese food with lots of variety, do come here. Having been in Old Quarters for many times, this is by far the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area I've eaten at. Prices ranges around 100k per dish but the excellent service makes up for the higher prices compared to the street stalls. The curries are superb, along with the usual Banh Xeo and Bun Cha. Thanks Met Vietnamese Restaurant for the amazing meal and service. My family enjoyed the meal a lot and it made the trip even better.

We LOVE Met Restaurant! 5 stars! This is our favourite place in Hanoi for restaurant cheap eats. Everything we've tried has been delicious. My favourite dishes were the vegetarian Pho (that they assured me it was made with a vego-friendly broth), the 'vegetables salad' (like a papaya salad but more authentic Vietnamese flavours), and my partner recommends the 'grilled chicken and vegetables' dish. We tried some local rice wine there which was really nice too. Been back 3 times already and told some friends we met on our travels who have also been back multiple times. Service is wonderful! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Today we enjoyed a fabulous authentic Vietnamese dinner at Met. David was our waiter and he was kind enough to demonstrate to us on how to properly eat Vietnamese pancakes. The 3 way spring rolls were out of the world, packed with flavors from locally grown vegetables…. We also ordered the famous Bun Cha dish and it didn’t disappoint. I know this restaurant is mostly known for vegetarian dishes but our seafood and meat dishes were delicious…. You can NOT beat the price….

Wonderful experience. Smart owner given one section of their menu is for vegetarians which seems quite popular. Pricing is fair given the quality of food that comes out. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff is very welcoming too. Anne (with an E) was fantastic. Very sweet gal which was very helpful. Two thumbs up.

Food was excellent, the staff were so sweet and helpful! It's a bit intimidating looking for vegetarian food when you're abroad (and definitely don't speak the language) so I was very happy to find this spot. I had summer rolls with fried tofu and veggies, the vegetable curry, and coconut juice. I love that the coconut juice was an actual coconut--definitely did not expect it but was delighted! The curry had a small hint of spice that was perfect for a wimp like myself, same with the dip for the summer rolls which were incredible, and the portions were right on the money.

MET 1 has some delicious and fresh meals for vegetarians. I was greeted with friendly smiles and did not wait long for a seat or to be served. I ordered the vegetarian Vietnamese pancake, morning glory with garlic and hot ginger tea. Everything came out quick and fresh! One of the waiters also showed me how to use rice paper for rolling my vegetables and pancake, what a joy!

Had our first Vietnamese lunch here. Thought it might be an easier way to break us in. Was good food, some not to our taste but that's us, not the anything to do with the restaurant. The staff were all friendly. They have a large range of dishes and drinks. The mango juice/ smoothie was super good.

The most amazing food you can get in Hanoi! So many delicious vegan options, don’t know where to start. You gotta try everything! I just visited there yesterday. ㆍMood : Fancy. Looks like Traditional and Orient. ㆍQuality : Good. Taste good. But not enough. ㆍService : Great. English speaking crews. Good explanation. ㆍCleanliness : Good in Vietnam Hall and restroom. Had a good time with my friend. I promised a crew to write some comments when I'm back in Seoul. So, I hope this review will help the development the restaurant.

Excellent range of vegan options in the menu. I tried the Bánh xèo chay which are Vietnamese pancakes stuffed with mushrooms, beans, and I asked for tofu to added to it also which they happily obliged. It’s served with noodles and vegetables that you altogether stuff into rice paper and have with the sauce. Heavenly taste, fresh crispness, and the hosts were very sweet to explain how to eat this meal. Can not wait to go back!

If you can, go to MET 2. My experience here was poor. We visited MET 2 first and had really high expectations for this location. The three of us ordered an entree to share and three mains each. My friend got her dish first, then another 10 minutes went by and my other friend got her dish, then another 10 minutes went by and I finally got my dish (after asking twice about the wait). My friends both finished their dishes as I got mine, which was very disappointing. My friends got dessert and they were around a 4/10. The food we ate was okay. My friend enjoyed the pancake. The pho was good, but not the most flavoursome. The grilled chicken in bamboo was good and average. The atmosphere was off. Bells were being dinged over and over again. The staff were dragging their feet along the ground and the bottom seating isn’t the nicest. However, restaurant is well-conditioned and the staff were friendly.

  • 2/5 Jean C. 4 years ago on Google
The place is okay , the food is good , but when they are busy , you will wait for over 30 minutes for the food. If they tell you sorry for waiting so long , I will give you discount for the price. But the cashier doesn’t know anything so still pay for the same price. Make sure they don’t have a lot of costumers when you eat inside.

Highly recommended restaurant at Hanoi and lived it to its Hype. We tried the cashew chicken, pork with lotus roots, beef fried rice. The food was very flavourful and hit the right notes. The combination of meat with cashew and Lotus root in respective dishes stood out and brought in some unique character.

We went to a restaurant near the hotel where you can taste Vietnamese food. The mango salad was unique and delicious. The meat in the bun-cha was very moist. Vegetables were fresh, so I refilled it once more. It tastes good, but everyone seems to be satisfied with David's kindness. He said he likes Korean dramas and k-pop. We came in with a large group of 12 and they were very happy to accommodate us in a room upstairs (with AC!). Our server was very patient and made sure to review our order before putting it in. All the food was delicious but notably the fish with passion fruit sauce, the spring rolls, and the stir fried vermicelli noodles. After the meal, our server was kind enough to share a laundry list of recommendations with us for Hanoi and other areas to visit in Vietnam. She was really helpful and gave us great spots, which really topped off an already great experience. We’d love to come back before leaving, and I’ll definitely come back during a personal vacation. Thanks Alison!

For first visitors of Hanoi it's a perfect place to get the taste of the in food in an environment where you are not completely lost in translation. The taste and quality of our dinner was very good and luckily the young waitress explained us how to wrap and eat the roasted pork meatballs, fresh herbs and the noodles in rice paper as a local. The beer "Hanoi" is a good choice for refreshment.

This place is amazing. My boyfriend and I went here for our first dinner in Hanoi after several weeks of traveling in SE Asia. Delicious!! food, great price, kind service. Ly was so sweet to us. Thank you!

Special thanks to Ms. Joy for being extremely courteous and for explaining about the food we ordered and for teaching us how to eat the said food. Super, super fast meal, ordered 4 signature specials but had to gobble our food because the table were too small to contain all of our orders at the same time. Had earlier told the waitress to serve one at a time but instructions did not followed though. Instead of enjoying the meal, we feel like running the race for all the plate dishes served by super fast servers. Food were nice but service is important too.
