The place is small but no e tasty food at a lesser price The food was served at rite proportion for one person. The quality and taste was nice. Vegetarian options was also nice and tasty 😋 We all liked it I recommend 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amazing staff! I randomly stumbled on their first day soft opening. Everyone’s very warm with good English with is rare. I had the vegetarian eggplant dish which was good. Tom was my server who was sweet. Can’t wait til they fully get things started :)

Lovely dinner, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. We tried the Hanoi Bun Cha and the crispy chicken and they were both delicious. Paired it with some beer which went down nicely. You might be able to find cheaper places in Hanoi but this was definitely a lovely atmosphere with very friendly staff who spoke English and even taught us some phrases in Vietnamese, so I think it was worth the (still very reasonable) price. Would go again for sure!

Really great food and ambience. We tried both vegetarian and non-veg options, came out really happy with the presentation and the quality of the food. Our server Dee was very helpful and guided us with what we could see in the city. 100% recommend.

Favourite place to eat in Vietnam....So much so we visited twice during our 4 days in Hanoi. Highly recommend the Bun Cha and the Mango, Pork & Prawn Salad both dishes are so fresh and delicious! Service is excellent, staff speak very good English and the interior is beautiful too!

Had lunch here today on our last day in Hanoi. Decided to eat indoors and found Downtown Cafe and restaurant in the street of our hotel. Extremely friendly staff and thanks to Toodee we had a great experience and great food. Nem and Bahn Xeo were scrumptious. A great place to visit and eat.

Absolutely amazing meal tonight, the waiter advised on the menu and I was more than happy with my choice ☺️ Our waiter, Thanh, was very helpful and friendly. We had a chat with him after our food and he even helped us learn a couple of Vietnamese phrases. Thank you Thanh, the other young man who was serving was also very friendly, I'm sorry we didn't catch your name. Beautiful place to eat, definitely recommend visiting here whilst in Hanoi!!

Nice small and excellent restaurant. We had a complete tasting Menü with appetizers, main course and dessert. The table and food was excellent and well prepared. The service of the personnel was very kindly and attentive.

Nice service and friendly crew, will check from time to time on the serving of the food, drink, soup, main course follow by desserts, great for small group or big group gathering, the spring roll is a must try item, we took the curry chicken, fish, vegetable and not forgetting the healthy pumkim soup.

This is a lovely calm place to escape the traffic. Had the Mango salad, it was delicious, had shrimp and also pieces of very tender beef. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

We arrived when the restaurant was about to close, but they opened the kitchen especially for us! We had the whole place only for us! Such a great Vitnameese hospitality! Amazing staff really! Good food & reasonable prices! Recommended!

Highly accessibly resto that served great food. Food is a little pricey and because it’s next to a bar, it’s quite noisy. The ground floor dining area doesn’t have air conditioning, so it gets quite hot.

This is a lovely restaurant. I went there for brunch and ordered the fried pho and egg coffee. The food is delicious and the staffs are attentive. I wish I could try more of what they have on the menu but I have a such small appetite. I didn’t finish my food (I feel like it’s for two people).

The food here is average, they have a very wide menu, and everything we had came out as described. There was nothing stellar. Some examples were pumpkin curry soup, Hanoi springrolls, grilled pork with lemongrass, pork ribs with black pepper and grilled chicken. Their vegetarian options are good

Food is amazing, probably the best pumpkin soup I tasted this whole trip! Eventhough this place is catered toward tour group. They don’t forget those that go in individually.very friendly and nice service.

The cleanliness and service here is good. You can definitely expect a comfortable meal here. However, the food here is mediocre and the price is high. I won't call this a tourist trap, but you are putting your money towards the cleanliness and service instead of good quality food.

Nice looking modern place. Staff worked hard. But when you visit a place in a tour group of 38 people (like we did), this puts pressure on the restaurant. To deliver food v fast (therefore pre-prepared and not hot). And to budget (affecting quality). But, come here, on your own.

We loved the dinner we had at this restaurant! Our waiter Dee was super lovely, polite and communicative and helped us choosing the dishes. Everything came quickly and was super fresh. I can highly recommend the typical Fish for Hanoi (i don’t remember the name unfortunately). When we’re back in Hanoi, we would go here again! Greetings to Dee from Ferdi & Johanna from Germany :)

A great little restaurant in the old quater. Spotlessly clean and presented, their western and Vietnamese food was well worth the visit. Tom, a young vietnames boy spoke great English and knew more aussie slang than us Aussies. He was interested in our travels and was well knowledge about vietnam. A place well definatly revisit.

10/10 food. The team were great, in particular my waiter Tom who made me feel really comfortable and recommended dishes to me. I was disappointed as the ribs were sold out. I got the chicken in homemade sauce and wow, I am so glad I got to try it! Seriously beautiful flavours. Must go in Hanoi

We popped in for some tea while waiting for a taxi to the airport and we’re so glad we found this gorgeous restaurant. The tea was amazing and the staff were fantastic and extremely accommodating. They have loads of vegetarian options too.

Chose Downtown cafe and Restaurant tonight and glad we did.Had Rice pancake entree shared.Tenderloin steak with mash and pepper gravy for me and a sizzling prawn dish for my wife.A tiramisu for dessert and nice red wine.A local brew,beer called Smokey Red x 2..Finished with Egg coffee.A really big Thank you to Chieu our waiter.Good at his job and liked to talk.We had a wonderful talk about here in Vietnam.The culture here and about Australia.Chieu even said some Australian saying,G'day mate and a few others.All in all a good night.Please visit if you can.If you do say Godzilla man sent you if you see Chieu.

Lily and Tom (super man!!!) were the best. 2nd day open after Covid they had re opened. So nice, telling us general Vietnamese hello/goodbye/thank you. Please come visit this place. Amazing drinks and wide variety of food. Some were limited as only second day open. I'm saving this place to come back again engage in conversation and make you feel as home !

We ordered foods in pics and it was delicious. Staff was really helpful. Taught us how to eat properly.

Wide selection of excellent food in pleasant, clean atmosphere at reasonable prices. Tam and his team provided attentive, friendly service with a smile, plus helpful tips and suggestions to ensure we were getting the most out of our night. Beautiful presentation of food, especially the egg coffee. Wonderful evening spent here with our small group of 6.
