We ordered around 20 dishes. All of them were extremely pathetic. No one should have such discomforting food. We weren't expecting proper authentic Indian taste from the food, it was pathetic from the Vietnamese Indian food standard as well. The Cheese Garlic Naan is a hoax, they give you a cheese naan pizza which too is horrible. It's misleading and the portion of the breads is huge which the owner didn't tell us when we ordered a huge amount for a group of people. He let us order double portions and 60 percent got wasted. Horrible Boss. Horrible Food. Horrible Restaurant. Would not recommend it even if you are craving Indian like crazy and think you can have the food. You can't. I have added the photo of the horrible "Cheese Garlic Naan"

Undoubtedly one of the best Indian Food - served with love by courteous staff, well managed by friendly restaurant owner. We ordered appetizers (worth mentioning special sour spicy chutney they served to add the taste), drinks, main course and everything was delicious without any food-coloring and with balanced spices, with good presentation. Prices are moderate and portions are well to be for 2 people, service is fast. They served us salad as complementary, drinking water as complementary - which is rare in Hanoi! Overall wonderful experience, I will definitely return back to this place! 5/5 Stars!!

Loved the superb Indian food here. The most important thing was the reasonable price. Simply amazing. It was also very heart warming to not just Indian but even the Vietnamese brothers and sisters are also enjoying the Indian cuisine. Request everyone to try the food here and flavors of India 💯❤️🤘

A simple restaurant setting, staff are very welcoming and caring about your enjoyment of the foods. The starters were excellent, the somsa is huge. Deep fried foods weren't greasy or oily. Mutton curry was boneless and tender, eggplant curry was delicious too. Nana had a bit to much gee, but the breads are huge, order less than you expect you need from the menu photos.

Extremely unhygienic…. A) provides drinking water in small glasses and everytime asked to refill, takes the glass by bare hand and refill. We expected a liitle jug to be used to refill B) mutton is dry and old when ordered in mutton biriyani… may be worth hetting check d by health authorities C) extremely rude and unprofessional frontoffice manager…. When brought issues to notice, behaved extremely rude instead of rectifying Guys, please avoid

Based on the food quality I would rate this a 5+ marked down one star for the dining room condition. The curry+naan combos are a great deal. The butter chicken was super delicious as was the samosa. And the naan was big enough to play football on! Ok, maybe not that big, but still huge and cooked perfectly. If you’ve got a comfortable room with food AC order on grab and get it as a takeaway.

Came here as a blind pick because my date was hungry. We ordered 3 dishes (cheese garlic naan, butter chicken curry and veggie fried rice) and the total bill came up to about 300k vnd and tbh that’s an acceptable price because the portions were huge and we couldn’t even finish everything. The food was surprisingly good - coming from an extremely picky and non-spicy food eater like myself. I deduct 1 star due to the restaurant itself looking rather dull - the painting on the wall and indian songs playing did catch my attention for a while. for those who expect a professional Indian/Pakistani restaurant, this ain’t it, it’s giving homemade food. and if you complain about the condition of the restaurant, you would not enjoy other Viet street food that our country has to offer - which would be a waste. 4 stars from a local guest.

i tried the chicken tikka masala medium spicy, garlic naan, and masala tea. 210k vnd. the chicken is a bit dry but it's ok if eaten together with the masala gravy. you can go for maximum spiciness if you can eat spicy. the medium spicy is too weak for me. some parts of the naan is still crispy even after 20 minutes. the masala tea is a bit weak. the staff is from Pakistan and one of them speaks Vietnamese. he is quite friendly and have a sense of humor, you can strike up a conversation with him.

This restaurant, which specializes in Pakistani cuisine and is staffed by Pakistani individuals, presented a disappointing experience during my visit. Regrettably, no staff member approached our table to take our order, compelling me to personally visit the cashier's counter to place it. To my dismay, the cashier exhibited a lack of basic courtesy and empathy, appearing disinterested in his responsibilities and seemingly preoccupied with observing female patrons. Additionally, the establishment fell short in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by an unpleasant odor that seemed to emanate from mold. This lack of cleanliness greatly detracted from the overall dining atmosphere and raised concerns about the restaurant's standards. In summary, my visit to this Pakistani restaurant left much to be desired. The absence of attentive service, coupled with the unappealing hygiene conditions, significantly impacted the dining experience and overall impression of the establishment. It appears that the 5-star reviews for this establishment may not accurately reflect the true quality of the experience. This discrepancy could be due to various reasons, such as biased or manipulated feedback. It's important to consider a range of reviews and feedback to form a well-rounded understanding of the restaurant's reputation and service.

I love Indian food and have eaten in most, if not all, Indian restaurants in Ha Noi. After a not so good experience in another restaurant the previous day, I was looking for something new on Google. I was at first going to give this a miss purely because of the name, but boy am I happy that I did not. I was met by one of the owners who was extremely welcoming and quickly took the order, suggesting that I do not order two Naans as it might be too much. Right he was as I was already half full after two huge and delicious chicken Samosas. I also had the Mutton Karahi with the aforementioned garlic Naan and it was plenty of food. Everything was obviously freshly prepared and the taste was phenomenal. I also had a Mango Lassi which was one of the best I have had in Hanoi. Overall, absolutely great. A very minor point was that it could have been a little spicier but nobody asked me how hot I wanted my curry and I forgot to ask. Again, a really minor point and I went back the next day for more delicious food.

No clue how this place gets a 4.7/5. We were craving some butter chicken, and we were very dissapointed. We ordered naan bread (cheese one and plain one) some butter chicken and vietnamese rice. The naan was crispy and dry, the butter chicken had a weird after taste. Also the pictures you see in the menu are far off from what you get at the table. We sat at the ground floor and the ambiance was not welcoming. The staff isn’t friendly. Anyways, I do not recommend at all.

Very nice restaurant with good food. I had garlic naan and navaratan korma both were good. Service is nice. The friendly manager and waiter are originally from Pakistan and probably the chef too as the mild korma taste reminded me of my friend's one from Karachi. Will return again.

My hopes were high due to good reviews, but really the place fell short in terms of atmosphere and hygiene. The food was good, just needed a bit more salt and perhaps coriander. But the dining room, especially upstairs is in quite horrible condition. The quality of the “renovation” done upstairs is ridiculous, my cat could do a better job at wallpapering. Do NOT eat in, only order takeaway.

After reading reviews I was a bit skeptical of giving this place a try. However, I’m so glad that I listened to my inner voice that said “go” I’ll admit that it isn’t the best looking restaurant, but the food is tasty! After all, I consider a “hole in the wall” place to have really tasty food, good customer service and a clean atmosphere for me to eat in (it’s never fancy), and that’s what Grills & Gravy lived up to. I ordered Butter Chicken “No Chicken” and added Chickpeas, with vegetarian samosas, basmati rice and garlic naan bread. My meal was $10 USD which is fairly priced for Indian food in SE Asia, trust me, I have seen much higher for all I ordered. The taste for the butter chicken gravy was delicious, not my greatest taste but very yummy. The samosas were surprisingly pretty darn good, they had a kick to them and I was very happy the way they tasted, along with the huge serving of garlic naan (fresh, thin and with garlic!). Everything was yummy, portions were generous and the sweet kid at the front understood my special request for “chickpeas over chicken” and made sure that I had a hot meal in a decent time. Give this place a try while you’re in Hanoi!

We ordered Vegetarian Thali and Non Vegeterian Thali. Malai Kofta and Dal in Vegetarian Thali was great. Butter chicken had coconut flavor which wasnt to my liking. Food was authentic Indian and great overall and Naan size was huge. Tea is must try

We had butter chicken, dal makhani, chicken biryani and garlic naan. All were delicious and reasonably priced. Everything about this place looks a little sketchy at first glance, but I guarantee the food and service is excellent, and it's a nice change of pace when you've had your fill of pho and bun cha. Highly recommend

They could work a little more on the food I think. The place is local vibe and air conditioned well but palak green curry was little bland and chicken in butter chicken was very dry…overall very sweet.. It is not much cheaper than other Indian restaurants so I think they really need to step up their games in flavors

Delicious paneer mattar. Price is high for Vietnam, but lower than you'd expect from home. Atmosphere average for air conditioned cafe in Vietnam, not filthy as others suggest but not upscale white tablecloth sort of place. Portions generous. Tasty.

I love Indian food and after seeing the reviews for this restaurant I was keen to visit. I’m so glad I did. The food was immaculate. I ordered the palak paneer curry with Vietnamese rice and an onion paratha. All the food was executed incredibly well, especially the curry. For the prices the servings are very generous. It is an easy place to recommend. I will certainly be back.

The Chicken Saagwala & Chicken Chettinad were nice. Didn’t go for really spicy and the kitchen staff did well keeping that in mind. Naans are big, definitely enough for the curries we had. Price was ok. Flavors didn’t mesmerize me, but that can be a personal thing. Still decent portion for the price you pay.

I've only been to this restaurant twice, and always surrounded by my close friends. The average bill goes from 350.000 vnd to 550.000 vnđ. 💵 Tasty, satisfying and average check. Suitable for a company of 2-3 people, where everyone will find a dish to their liking. Especially if you are a lover of Indian food! 😍 Handy about the restaurant 🧐: delicious food, 🍱 clean kitchen and tables, Wi-Fi good 📲, kind staff, 👨‍🍳

I would give this a zero star.Do not visit if you are a muslim. This restaurant claims to be halal but when I asked if they have a halal certificate the young indian boy at the till refused to show me and tried to be aggressive. I waited for 15mins and then left. The interior smells with Loud music. And there is a disgusting smell inside. Reviews are most likely fake. DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE MUSLIM LOOKING FOR HALAL FOOD! Edit : the owner has now threatened me . Please see his response picture added. Still no response from the owner on the threatening behaviour.
