I had dinner here for my anniversary with my wife and kids. I was very satisfied with food and theri service. For food, there is no denying that JW is one of the best in Hanoi. I had breakfast buffet quite many times when I stayed for business trips. I enjoyed breakfast buffet in JW. But this time, I was impressed with dinner buffets. There were various kinds of dishes with good quality. Of course, it cannot compare to 5 stars hotel buffet in Korea. But, considering price, it was quaite amazing. Very good for price. Especially, I was quited enjoyed with fresh oysters, which difficult to see in VN. Adding to it, They prepared a small cake for our anniversary. It was very moving.

I’m currently writing this review as I sit at this table finishing my dessert. I would like to start by saying I made a reservation on Open-table for a party of 4 at 2:15pm unaware that it’d be closed at 2:30pm until 6pm for dinner service. They rebooked my reservation at 6pm. We then waited in our rooms. We showed up at 6pm at we’re quickly seated. As we walked by the dessert section were quickly impressed. It looked great. All wait staff and cooks greeted us with big smiles. The waitress pulled out our chairs and gave us a spin on what they have and offered us drinks and a cold towel. We then browsed the buffet and began to eat. In a short moment of time, I realized that the more expensive items had to be served by the cooks which is entirely fine and which we had no problem with. We pranced over to the scallop section and were told to wait about 15 minutes which isn’t a problem. When we came back to retrieve the scallops we ordered, there was a manager by the name of Linh Vu that didn’t look pleased that we were there to get scallops. Mind you we haven’t had a second go around yet. From what I remember, a buffet is typically all you can eat. So I ignored the situation and continued on. My cousin which has never had Iberico ham asked for a slice after trying mines earlier and fell in love with the taste. He came for his slice and the cook unknowingly gave him 2.5 slices and was yelled at by Linh Vu once again. That is very unprofessional. If there’s a limit, please put a sign up otherwise please don’t make eating here an uncomfortable situation. We paid to come eat, it’s not like we’re at a food bank asking for a donations. Between my King Suite and dinner buffet here, I’ve spent approximately $1000 USD just in this establishment, not including the 4 flights I paid from Ho Chi Minh City round trip for one day just to have the experience at JW Marriott. I checked in at 1pm and I’m checking out tomorrow to fly out of Hanoi. I came to this place solely due to Sonny’s review on YouTube. Never again. I wouldn’t recommend JW Cafe to anyone else. I honestly don’t even want to finish my dessert. And frankly, I’m fortunate to of Vietnamese descent born in US and can understand what Linh Vu was saying otherwise I wouldn’t have even known. Beware if you decide to spend $2000 USD like me to come here. I’ve attached a photo of her so you don’t have to get close to view her name tag.

We had really high expectations coming to JW Café; in fact we only came to Ha Noi to dine here after watching several videos on the restaurant. We came for dinner on a weekday. Make sure you don’t arrive right when they open (6pm) because not everything will be cooked immediately - aim for 6:30. Service was friendly and genuine. Our server Trang assisted us with great hospitality, gentleness, and was eager to cater to our needs. Duong at the dessert section and the gentleman at the sashimi bar were also fantastic. The beef and lamb were delicious. However we found the chicken in the Indian section to be very dry. Tuna sashimi was a tad too fishy. Dessert was amazing, although they ran out of fondue dipping fruits and did not replace because it was not a busy night. Found a fruit fly burrowed in my dessert which surprised me given the establishment. (See video). If dining here is a treat, I would recommend going on a weekend, albeit more expensive, it is worth it to ensure freshness and quality. There are also more options to choose from. Note foie gras is on the menu free of charge but must be ordered. Overall, I had higher expectations in terms of food quality from JW Marriott and left somewhat disappointed.

JW Marriott Hanoi has consistently been my preferred dining destination. Recently, I had the pleasure of indulging in their Afternoon Tea, which was specially curated to commemorate Vietnamese Women's Day in October. The menu was tailored to cater to those with a sweet tooth, although I personally found it to be excessively saccharine. I have a penchant for savory cakes. My all-time favorite tea variant is Earl Grey. It is noteworthy that the establishment now serves tea at the table, utilizing a pour-over technique akin to that of coffee.

Good spread. Excellent service. Left my shopping bag there and they knew my name when I got back to get the bag. JW Marriot at its best.

JW Cafe is located in the luxurious JW Marriott Hotel. The cafe is located overlooking a beautiful lake and lush gardens. A real respite in the bustling city of Hanoi. The restaurant is very large and has food from all over the world. We were there for the breakfast buffet. And were in for a real treat. The service is top notch, for a buffet. The cafe was spotless and with plenty of friendly staff making sure you were nt kept waiting for anything. The local food was a delight, as was the live egg sections. The bakery and juice bar were very good too. And they had an Indian section as well.

Located by the picturesque lake, the JW Cafe is the buffet restaurant of the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi. Breakfast has plentiful of options including Korean, Japanese, Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese and the usual western offerings. Do try the local Vietnamese coffee with ice and condensed milk.

Reaturant is by lake side view. If you take buffet, variety of cuisines are available.

Very little variety. Food take very long to replace. Lobster have to order by piece and take around 30 Mins to arrive per order. The waitress Huong even told us to stop ordering lobster and take food from buffet area. Poor service and do not understand English

Hands down the best buffet restaurant I’ve ever been to (albeit I haven’t eaten at that many restaurants)

If you are hyped up because of the YouTube videos you are likely to be disappointed. 1. The hot station food is room temperature. Which wouldn’t have been terrible but it’s an AC room 2. The pasta station serves many types of pasta noodle but only one kind of pasta sauce. Why?! 3. You need to call the service staff over to be served. No one stays at their station and you need to get their attention to get service. The steamed live seafood is the only thing that’s as advertised. The crabs, lobsters, and shellfish are very delicious. But at this price range it doesn’t quite measure up.

We had Sunday brunch buffet here and added wine buffet as well. There were so many types of seafood, and they were very fresh. I loved the variety of food, and how tasty they were. A few of lobsters were a bit tough for me, but I think that's just my personal taste. Definitely have the king crab legs 😋 Wine was great, and we tried sparkling, pinot gris, and two types of red wine. They were all very good and easy to drink which was dangerous for 12pm haha... It was great experience, and I would recommend! Also, make sure you have marriott bonvoy account to get a discount, and pay with the card that has the same name as the bonvoy account (I didn't bring my card, so I couldn't get the discount :( )

I spent a beautiful weekend afternoon at JW cafe. Lake-view space - luxury service - . JW Cafe arranges seating areas with distance. So it is quite pleasant and comfortable for me and partner to talk about business. This location is a very good choice!

Outstanding seafood buffet at JW Marriott. It won't come cheap but quality is delivered. Amazing seafood selection, lots of live stations, well trained and attentive staff. Look no further if you look for the best buffet in town. 2 thumbs up !

JW cafe is a nice, cozy restaurant located in the 5-star hotel-JW Marriott hotel Hanoi. It provides wonderful food and countless variety from the air, land and sea. Those service people who all have gotten well and full training. All of the 5-star hotels are supposed to have the same level of high quality service employees. A nice restaurant and no wonder in the JW Marriott hotel.

The food is really tasty but we saw in some videos online that they have a great seafood selection (including lobsters, variety of clamps, etc) but in the end there were not so many and 0 lobsters. Some of the dishes have to be ordered but since there is no menu it is quite hard to know what you can eat apart from what you see in each counter. About other things, the staff is really friendly and polite. The decorations look incredible and I really liked the view from the restaurant. What you would expect from a 5 stars hotel. In conclusion, it is a good place but i expected more for that price

Amazing restaurant! The food is quite spendy but well worth every dong. The service is amazing - Hue was the best waitress we could have asked for. She was extremely attentive, kind, and willing to help with anything. The restaurant also worked with me to plan a surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday! If you’re in the area or you’re staying at the hotel, this is a must! The only advice I would have is better lighting - the restaurant felt a bit dark. Great place!

Went for Sunday Brunch. 12pm to 2.30pm. I felt 2.5 hours a little short, should be 3 hours. At about 1.45pm when I wanted to order foie gras, waiter said counter closed/ foie gras no more and if I can wait for 30 minutes I said OK (can wait) but think misunderstanding he thought I said it is OK (I don't need) so end up I didn't get my foie gras. Food taste good especially foie gras and tarts (mango tart, chocolate tart). It is expensive at VNF1,950,000++ per person.

On Hollween, there were not enough candies for kids from beginning. And the capability of leading kids was just terrible. Surprisingly not organized and not prepared .It looked like the free event in the culture center which I'd never try even though it's for free. Comparing the price, what they've done was disaster. Foods were also nothing special .Their commercial was way too exaggerated. It was unfairly overpriced.I would never go there again.very disappointed.

A truly 5 star service. The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming. There is a very wide selection of food available all day everyday. The staff found out my family and I were staying at the hotel to celebrate my birthday, so they offered us a lakeside table everyday and even gifted me a cake which was delicious. Trang in particular is extremely friendly and helpful, she often went above and beyond to help us carry heavy dishes back to our table and helped us refill our drinks. She also took the time to explain the local dishes to us and offered good recommendations about sights in Hanoi. Would absolutely recommend the JW cafe for anyone looking for a relaxing premium meal.

Very good customer service, from booking to checkout. My friends and I had a great lunch buffet for reduced prices but we're served excellent cuisines. Nice place to have a birthday celebration.

A fabulous buffet for any special occasion. Service is impeccable, all the food (and what a spread!) is perfectly prepared. It's hard to save enough room for dessert, but try - it's worth it! Of all the buffets in Hanoi, and I've been to many of them, this one is by far my favorite. Other than holidays, you get a discount if you have a Marriott Rewards card. It's free - just sign up for it before you go or ask your server and they can do it on the spot, too.
