Came here based on a friend’s recommendation. I don’t know that I’d pass the recommendation on to others, at least not to vegetarians. It’s a pretty bar with a nice ambiance, but incredibly overpriced for not so great drinks and limited veg-friendly food options. Thankfully, our meal came with fresh bread... which made us feel better about overpaying for Caesar salad (sans the usually included bacon). The cocktail was fine, but really not worth the steep price.

Beautiful bar … while it is tempting to sit by the poolside but highly recommend to sit in the bar itself to appreciate the decor & settings. The food & cocktails are of top quality 👍🏼 but rather pricey though 😅 Just for info. the bar is located in the Metropole-Sofitel hotel.

Good place for evening relax...

Located in the heart of the Sofitel, Bamboo is a lovely, bungalow inspired bar that looks out across the pool. Friendly and attentive service, it was a nice place to relax after arriving on in Vietnam and work on my jet lag by downing a few margaritas.

The service can be a little slow and confused but the food is super fresh and the fresh coconuts are delicious! Highly recommend the snails appetizer and ceviche.

Nicest bar I’ve been to while visiting Hanoi. The wooden decor and pool view gives you a warm and refreshing feeling at the same time. Just be wary if you’re on a budget.

Great place to relax and have a drink or lunch by the pool. Also quite nice in the evenings. Worth popping in if you’re staying nearby and you’ll naturally find yourself here if staying in the hotel. Try one of their signature cocktails!

Fun atmosphere with highly skilled staff and crafted cocktails. The bathrooms are nice. I will say these are like NYC prices. We spent over $100… granted we did have several drinks lol

Wonder place to relax with a cocktail after a long day. The atmosphere of the outdoor sitting area feels warm and inviting. Indoors a/c temperature is too cold.

A beautiful place located in the Metropole hotel. Feels like an oasis in the midst of Hanoi's hustle bustle. Great drink selection and friendly staffs. Aside from its beauty, you can also ask a staff about the hotel's history. Worth to pay a visit if you're in Hanoi!

Overpriced cocktails. Nothing special about the cocktails - Né was much better. That said, lovely poolside lounge and very relaxing.

A nice venue by the pool, trendy ambience, comfy, a great place to chill over "legendary cocktails". Food is delicious, calamari fried perfectly. Cannot resist its homemade ice-cream.

A perfect speakeasy bar with top quality drinks. Can't imagine cocktails can get better then this. The bar is beautiful with comfortable seats. Wish we were in the city longer to try more of their creations. All the twists on the classics I have tried has been amazing.

I had the pleasure of visiting Bamboo Bar on my recent trip to Hanoi. I ordered the Graham Greene Martini, which is the bar's signature cocktail. It was delicious, and the perfect way to end a long day. The bar also has a wide variety of other cocktails, beers, and wines to choose from. In addition to drinks, Bamboo Bar also serves light meals and snacks. I tried the summer rolls, which were fresh and flavorful. The bar also has a selection of desserts, including the chocolate mousse, which was rich and decadent. Overall, I had a great experience at Bamboo Bar. It is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink or a meal in Hanoi. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Well what can I say , if you like pretentious places then go here ! No seats and European manager insisting you wait outside to form a ‘come in here we’re amazing fake queue’ surviving on hype ! Waited 30 minutes with no drink outside then questioned why we couldn’t go in to which he replied we are full and there’s a 45 minute wait. I then advised there were stools at the bar and places to sit and finally a Thai ( far more customer friendly manager ) agreed we could indeed sit at the bar ! Why make customers wait in hot humid outdoor seating area when there are clearly places inside !!! Unnecessary and poor management. Tick it off your Bangkok hit list and head to The Crimson Rooms , far better jazz and customer service , very disappointing Mandarin Oriental !! Riding on reputation very risky if you want people to visit more than once , won’t be back. Only for tourists , clearly no concern for repeat business.

Place is having a good ambience for drinks. clean and well maintained. Staff is cooperative and prompt. Girls feel safe even if they are without their male friends.

The outdoor venue is more cozy and interesting than the indoor venue with oriental decor. The pool greatly contribute to the lively scene, delivering a high-end holidays experience. There are great cocktails and snacks.
