Apparently, the bar uses attractive women on dating apps to lure unsuspecting men into their establishment, only to pressure them into buying exorbitantly priced drinks. It's highly disappointing to see such exploitative tactics being used to prey on people's emotions and trust. Businesses should thrive on providing exceptional service and genuine experiences, not on duping customers for a quick profit. I strongly encourage everyone to avoid supporting Jigger Downtown and other establishments that engage in such unethical practices. Let's collectively stand against such manipulative tactics and ensure that our hard-earned money goes to businesses that prioritize integrity and respect for their customers.

One of my favorite bars in Hanoi! Amazing service, freshly cut fruit platter and delicious drinks with Asian flavors such as Pandan or Starfruit. The music varies so you won’t always be happy but the bartenders will make you smile with their energetic and positive attitude, which is really catchy. One of the bartenders also becomes a MC after a while and then the real fun starts! I come here very often and would chose this bar for a safe option out, even though I don’t always like the music played. (Sometimes, it’s really good tho)

Scammer's den, if a girl gives you rendez-vous nearby and then wants to go drink there, don't go, she is only trying to get a commission by making you spend a ton of money there. Prices are very inflated so it's not going to take long. Full disclosure: did not go there but a girl that I met with and scammed me at the restaurant right in front with the same process would only go drink with me at this specific bar, so guess what, she doesn't want to drink with me she wants another commission.

All the bars/clubs at this complex (46 ma may is the address) are scams. They hire young viet girls to go on dating apps and lure foreigners here. The girls then order so many things without permission and then force the entire bill on you. It can be hundreds of dollars even if you yourself just have a couple of drinks. Don’t go here if some girl on a dating app invites you. They are trying to scam. Be careful and avoid.

Ignore the queue on the ground for the other two eatablishments. Confidently walk straight in and up and the stairs up to level 3, where you’ll easily enter the Jigger. I’ve done a lot of walking about Hoan Kiem, so I can confidently say that this will easily be the best place in the district. Teens, young adults, and mature adults will be here, all partying regardless. Here are some points to note: 1) Be gracious. Pay attention to the servers and give way as needed. If a fellow patron seems stuck, help move a chair leg or something. Don’t leave things lying around on the floor. 2) unless you’re initiated or with really good local friends, don’t get a “smiling ball” of N2O (nitrous oxide). Combining that with alcohol shots would likely make you really regret the night or make excess expense that avalanche your night. 3) Learn some basic nightlife culture. Just google this please, so you’ll understand when you should/shouldn’t vibe with the DJ. 4) take the time at first to grab a bartop seat. In front of the DJ stage. Observe the crowd. It’s worth it. Observe the crowd. I say again: Observe the crowd. Don’t be that stereotypical drunk tourist please. This bar is really a gem for what it represents in Hoàn Kiếm. 5) Lastly, shout out to bartender Long, who took care of me through the night. The rest of the crew is equally attentive and kind with their smiles. Excellent service is the best international language. Thank you guys and girls of Jigger. This was way better than most places I’ve travelled. ———————————— Cons: 1) just like Thailand, there are girls engaged by the bar to dance and put on quite a show. Ignore and do not approach, unless you want to be thrown out. 2) do not approach groups of friends. Most aren’t open to strangers; especially tourists. 3) drinks are charged by shots. If you order anything off the menu or accept shots, it will be put on your tab. But at least they were accurate in my case. Make of that what you will.

Full story Met a girl on tinder, she brought me here for first date. She noted her name down at the entrance, strange but ok. We ordered 2 drinks, they brought a pitcher and fruit salad (without asking), I realized immediately that this was a scam, and asked for cheque. Total bill - 1.3M VND. I fought about the fruit salad, and got it reduced to 850K VND. However for the drinks, Since I’m in a foreign country and I already had drunk some of the drink, and didn’t want to fight, I paid and left. Total time in bar: 5 minutes Total money lost: 850K VND Lesson learnt: priceless EDIT: Now scammer women on tinder are calling this place SNIFF bar, but it’s the same place.

Went to the jigger last night for a drink. At first the vibes seemed nice, solid music but the night took a rough turn. They told us they reached capacity and decided to target any non-viet people in the bar to kick us out. Blatantly racist, even when we offered to buy more drinks, they told us that we weren’t welcome. Really disappointed. Avoid this place, not interested in any business outside from locals.

It got fooled my first night. Then I started noticing tons of tinder girls asking to come here (or the same block so they can walk you here). First timer, when you see this, please do not come here to get scam, **TAKE NOTE they wear FORMAL BLACK ATTIRES there are these two guy, one fat guy with glasses and a tall guy suddenly appeared from our back to offer free drinks, and brought us into the place. They have very smart tactics to tackle the girls, offered us shots of blue coloured drinks and play some stupid cards game that losers must drink forcefully pressured by them. Most importantly, if you want to come here, please look at the menu and price first before coming in. They charged us with ridiculously over priced liquor and the free drink you guys offered for free was charged in the bill! Dear owners, please do yourself a favour.
