Great chill spot. Ordered a bunch to try out a little of everything. Pretty good menu overall. (Not pictured below was the taiwanese beef noodle soup which was pretty on point compared to taiwan). Would definitely recommend to others!

'Bao' means dumpling in Vietnamese. You can taste new food using soft bread.

Visited here after spotting it as we were walking down the street. Really really loved it. Fantastic courtyard with a great atmosphere. Good choice of drinks and nice beer. I'm a huge fan of Baos and these were easily the best I've ever tasted. Fried chicken and Korean Beef were both outstanding. Well worth visiting

I stopped in for a takeaway. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. The baos were nice, but a little dry, I think with some sauce it would be 5 star

•Probably the best bao’s I’ve had regarding the fluffiness of the bao •Prawn tempura had great flavour •The tuna was a feast for the eyes •Not so sure about the tempeh one though

Nice casual vibe, menu & service. Reasonable prices. I like the duck noodle, garlic edamame and matcha panna cotta. The mckenna bao was kinda underwhelming but I'll come back to try other flavors. Should book in advance esp on weekends.

We ordered via Grab and it came fast and hot. The Bao's are fantastic and I just can highly recommend the Dirty Bird, the vegan option would be the Skinny. You have to try the Mantou Buns as well, they are really worth it. Good prices for good food.

I tried the Boa Shrimp and it was delicious. Looks like a taco but differently with an asian twist. Instead of a taco shell they use a soft almost dough-y bread. A clean restaurant with very friendly staff.

I have visited this shop several times. Good food, eco-friendly space. However, the menu does not offer many choices. I prefer this place for brunch or late afternoon meal. A bit pricey!

We visited Bao Wow a number of times when staying at Hanoi. It has a nice busier atmosphere and the service is great, really friendly staff. The Kung Pao chicken is so tasty, think I put on a few pounds ordering that. A must try. The bao burgers are good but personally we’ve had better elsewhere, hence 4/5 stars on food, although it’s cheaper here. We’ll definitely visit again when we’re next in Hanoi. I recommend the area in general, fantastic places to eat and always great service. They are also on Grab or you can visit and takeaway.

MUST TRY: the matcha panna cotta. It is so good. The boba pearls are bouncy and sweet. The matcha is not bitter. The peanuts are well caramelized and overall, it is not too sweet. Bao wow? More like Panna Cotta, you know you wanna. Also ordered the McKenna bao and kung pao chicken. The bao texture is perfect. Very light and squishy, not dry at all. But the panna cotta…I would’ve eaten just that. Side note: the bathrooms are really clean and the vibes are immaculate. Service is fantastic and there are great pictures of each food item on the website.

Great service with friendly and engaging staff. Atmosphere is great too. Food is really subjective and unfortunately didn’t strike the cords for me. Buns tastes more like bread than Chinese buns aka bow. Popcorn chicken was horrible with tasteless and hard batter and unpleasant oil flavor. Bow portion is quite small and at that price it’s really not cheap. The beef and the sauce for bow are quite tasty though.

Staff are friendly and well-serving. Staff suggested to order two Baos and Kale Salad as it is enough for one person, but i ordered another Bao. (I forgot to take a photo of last one…) They are so yummy. Highly recommended to order “Dirty Bird”

A fantastic experience all round. From constant water top ups at the table to the best food we have had in Vietnam. This place is absolutely essential on your food tour of Hanoi

The menu was really good, and it was good that it wasn't massive. They specialise in a few things and everything I tried was really nice. Staff are super friendly too, definitely a place to visit.

the most delicious food I’ve eaten whilst travelling SEA. Would recommend the Tempeh Bao and the Mushroom Dumplings for vegetarians

Cannot fault this place at all. Absolutely delicious food, great service and cute space. The lemongrass iced tea was so so refreshing, bao so fluffy and soft, and you can tell there’s been attention to detail in everything. Would make this place my local if I lived here!

Came back for the 2nd time, luckily got a seat when both time I didn't make a reservation. If you want to eat here on a weekend/holiday, I highly recommend that you make a reservation before coming. Even when I got a seat, I had to wait 30 minutes for my food to come out. But the food is good and inexpensive, my recommendation is the Dirty Bird (both bao and bao-less).

My favourite restaurant in Hanoi. It’s in the expat area so it’s $$ and all expats but the food is insane. Great vibe and service and drinks list too. Loved this spot! Get the baos or have them as a bowel

Great food! I went here twice and their bao buns are amazing! Also the Korean chicken (with spicy sauce) are great and you get a lot for the price you have to pay. The staff is very friendly and service orientated, they even refill your fresh cucumber water the second you finish it. Definitely worth to visit!

Great food. I had Black Tuna and Dirty Bird - both excellent. Good beer too. Around 60 a bao. Messaged the restaurant on Facebook and they replied within 5 minutes.

Good selection of Vegan/ vegetarian Bao. The individual bao are kinda small; but for for 50k each it's not too expensive. I'll probably order 3 next time though as I'm quite greedy. The French fries were also very tasty.

Good food, atmosphere/vibe. Service was good and friendly staff NADA Bomb Beer, looks like an artillery round tastes good - 1lt, 2lt...

Great ambience, many vegetarian options. The bun was not dense at all but very fluffy and soft to our surprise. Suitable for chatting. We had a good time at Bao wow.

I have been here a few times. Overall it has been good. I enjoy the different Bao they have. My friends all love the Taiwanese beef noodle soup but personally I am not a fan because it was not taste like other ones I have had from Taiwan. The price slightly higher to local standards. Overall I still highly recommend to come try.

Fun atmosphere, attentive, helpful & friendly service with fantastic food. There are great flavour options of bao sandwiches & bowls to choose from along with delicious starters. Drink options are good and staff keep your glasses full. Prices are really good. One of our favourite lunch spots in Hanoi!

This was my second time eating here. The bao is soft and fresh and the combinations available will suit most any taste. There is a nice selection of beverages including local craft beers. The only big negative is that it is all outside seating and there is no air conditioning - although they do have lots of fans.

    - Service is absolutely top notch, some of the best I've had in Hanoi (they bring cold water without you asking, they remember details of your order, they bring colouring for the kids, they put spicy sauce on the side for the kids) - Food is good, some dishes are fantastic and some are good but a little under seasoned (Baozie is tasty, Mckenna is great, the others are slightly bland) - Portion sizes are very generous, especially the popcorn chicken - Environment is nice, but too hot and the fan coverage is not very good - Solid selection of craft beers including on draft Would be 5 stars with better cooling and a touch more punch in the flavours.

Really yummy bao buns and cajun fries here. I'm a big fan of bao buns and haven't had any in months, this was a great return. Nice atmosphere at the place, nice staff, good prices if you're travelling through and pet friendly. I shall return.

Came here for the BAOs yet ended up enjoying pop corn chicken the most! Friendly and attentive service, good food and nice ambience. Recommend booking ahead of time.

Great Baos, sides, and chill vibes. The staff are friendly. They helped us with seating very quickly even though we didn't have reservations on a busy evening. Whether you wanna grab a quick bite or hang out with friends, this is a very good option. I recommend it.

I recently dinned at this place and it was an absolute delight! The bao themselves were simply amazing. The dough was wonderfully soft, and the meat was cooked to perfection, resulting in a delightful combination of flavors. The sauces served with the bao were a true highlight, as they complemented all the ingredients. I also tried the Cajun fries, which were cooked and seasoned perfectly and had a great crunch to it. To top it off, the popcorn chicken was an absolute winner, with its tasty and savory goodness. I highly recommend this Bao restaurant for its outstanding food, including the amazing bao, perfectly cooked Cajun fries, and delightful popcorn chicken.

Delicious & a great chill spot!! The food is delicious, the drinks are great and an awesome atmosphere! Staff is friendly, attentive and a great place to chill. A must visit place for a bite to eat and some drinks! Fries & the Kung Pao Popcorn chicken are delicious, the Big McKenna & The skinny are my favorites! (The dumplings are ok but not the best in my opinion-go with the other options ☺️) Deserts are excellent too! Follow @travelingypsey on Instagram & TripAdvisor!

Had a chance to visit BaoWow last month with my partner. Absolutely in love with their store decorations, atmosphere and lovely staff! Foods were yum, fresh and not to mention affordable too 😊 Han (probably the manager there) was friendly and helped us pick out some of their best dishes. Hands down one of the best restaurants in the area, highly recommend :-)
