I’m surprised by the exclusively positive reviews! Of all the “American Diner” restaurants in Hanoi, this was, by far, my least favorite. Here’s why: 1. The food is bland. My chicken wings were literally tasteless - overly deep fried - as was my cheese burger- surprisingly bad. The quality of the beef was suspicious and the bun was low quality. 2. There were a number of small sink flies flying on/around my table throughout dinner. This makes me question the cleanliness of the restaurant. 3. The decoration of the restaurant’s interior is ... odd ... and not in a good/charming way. It looks like something I would self-style and that isn’t a good thing! On the plus side, they do serve PBR on draft! Pretty impressive (and inexpensive)! Service was also friendly. Go somewhere else.

Really impressed, great food, wonderful service, and superior ambience. The burger could not be faulted, really yummy authentic Aussie pub burger, and the meat, my goodness, just perfect. The cheese was tasty and not 'plastic'.The creme brulee fully authentic. Everything was an excellent standard: the staff uniform and turnout consistent, tidy and well maintained, service reflected excellent training and good supervision. Even the background music was very pleasant. And all for under $AU20!

An American style diner that is classy and clean with excellent service. They serve bread and butter for free while you wait for your meal. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the veggie burger. Both were amazing and the fries were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend if you crave western food.

The taste is good at the price; they have 2 different mashed potato with sweet and normal potato which is recommended to try. Chef should recommend which type of cook is suited with different steak which may make dish more completed!

I stayed in the hotel just opposite of Teddy’s and it was around 6pm that I stepped into the restaurant only to realise I seem to be the only one there. Nonetheless, the staff were super attentive and brought me what I needed quickly. The steak is really good and they even bothered with plate art which also tasted good with the beef. Only around 7:30pm did I see more people streaming in. Good experience overall!

After my first meal here, I have to say that it is quite American. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich on a brioche bun. The taste was excellent but the 1/4 pound of cole slaw made it messy to eat. I can’t knock them too much for that because the presentation was on point and a messy sandwich is acceptable in the US. They also have PBR on tap, as well as Dead Guy Ale and a Stone Brewery beers. Also, Pasteur Street Brewery. Plus, live music at 7:30pm on a Friday. What’s not to like? The sandwich with fries and a complementary beer was 150,000vnd ($6.50). Hell of a deal! I don’t think the free beer is usual but the night I went they offered a free Teddy’s Pilsner, which was worthy.

Came at lunch time so it takes a while for the food. The meat is delicious though. About $7/lunch set, so worth it.

Teddy's American Grill House is a great looking diner in Hanoi with nice helpful staff and a diverse range of items (but not overwhelmingly so) on the menu, ranging from chili fries and chicken wings to mac and cheese and burgers. I had the cheeseburger with added blue cheese. The party itself was nice and juicy but perhaps a little bit dense. The caramelised onion that came on top was not my favourite but can be easily removed. The fries were nice and crispy, but the portion was too small in my opinion. Otherwise, this is a great place for an American diner experience with good food and great country music!

A little on the pricier side but it IS western food, so that’s 100% to be expected. We didn’t go for the traditional burger but we did get the salads which were fantastic. The service was super friendly, it was really clean, and they had a decent beer selection on tap. The PBR draft was a nice touch. The style was a little funky mixing American Neo Classic and upscale diner, but I liked it enough. It looked like they also had a rooftop but we went during lunch so it was closed.
