👍👍 This tour is fantastic! Sarah brought us to some amazing places. We loved everything we tried, but our favorites were the coconut sticky rice ice cream and the sandworm pancake (Cha ruoi). The tour lasted about 2.5 hours, and we were very full by the end. Sarah was so easy to talk to and so friendly... We had the most amazing time with our guide Helen Nguyen! The tour was nicely adapted for vegetarians and everything we ate was super tasty. We got inside stories about Hanoi, the best places for different plates and coffee and really nice quality time with our guide. Helen made us feel cared for and you can see how she likes the city, the country and it's food. She also took us to a market and helped us buying and trying out different fruits. If you are in Hanoi, don't hesitate taking this fantastic street food tour! Ask for Helen as your guide. She made our time in Hanoi even more special.

This tour is fantastic! Sarah brought us to some amazing places. We loved everything we tried, but our favorites were the coconut sticky rice ice cream and the sandworm pancake (Cha ruoi). The tour lasted about 2.5 hours, and we were very full by the end. Sarah was so easy to talk to and so friendly. It felt like we got more than a street food tour - we got to learn more about Hanoi and Vietnamese culture. The tour helped familiarize us with how to order at a restaurant and what foods are traditionally eaten. We had an issue with our flight and arrived a day later than expected; because of this we had to change our tour date. They were very accommodating and helpful! Everyone should do this tour when visiting Hanoi!

We really enjoyed our food tour with Nhi - we paid for the group tour but actually we were the only two in the group! She is an excellent guide, very friendly and helpful, with very good English, and we enjoyed our chats with her. All of the stops were really interesting and there was a nice variety of different foods to try, including some things specifically originating from Hanoi. Even without breakfast we couldn't finish all of the food, so definitely arrive with an empty stomach if you take this tour!

I can really recommend this tour! Our guide was exceptionally friendly and had a lot of pleasure showing us various dishes from Hanoi. What I liked the most, we did not get to eat the Vietnamese classics you get at every corner, but some really local specialties.

I would ask for Helen as a tour guide. She took us to some amazing places ( including a Michelin guide restaurant). All the food we tried with her was amazing and we enjoyed spending time with her and getting to know her culture a little. An amazing experience

We had such a fun experience doing this tour! Wendy was so knowledgeable about the Vietnamese culture and history & we really learned a lot from this walking food tour. She was also very funny & helpful with giving us other food suggestions for the remainder of our trip! Wendy is also the reason we decided in doing their cooking class the next day. There was about 7 of us all together in the group. We all had a tasty apricot happy water shot before going out haha. I would highly recommend this your to anyone that wants to eat & also learn about the history of the city.

Jasmine took our group of 10 for an amazing tour. So much delicious food, and Jasmine our guide was amazing! She was really polite, fun, and gave us so much insight into Vietnamese culture and customs. Would definitely recommend. Was a standout experience of our groups time in Hanoi.

We had an amazing street food tour with lovely Sarah. We tried all the best from Street food in Hanoi, including vegetarian options. It took around 3 hours drinks included and 5-6 different stops. The tour included historical and local information. Sarah was very talkative, accommodating and pleasent to be with and we can definitely recommend a tour together with her!

We had a great time with Jessica as our tour guide - she tailored the tour locations towards our interests, helped us navigate the various foods across the old quarter in Hanoi, and overall had a great personality which brightened our day out! Beyond the food, Jessica was well informed to answer all our questions about the history and culture of Vietnam, so I would definitely recommend if you are looking for an introduction into Vietnam food and lifestyle.

I booked on a group tour but ended up being just me. I was taken around by my guide Sarah. She was amazing, we went all over old town, had great food, really felt like I was hanging out with a friend who happened to be super knowledgeable about food. Egg coffee must try By the end I was so stuffed I couldn’t eat the pho, so Sarah was nice enough to get me a dessert instead and recommended some places to go to on another day. Will for check them out.

Jennifer- who was the tour leader, was absolutely exceptional. She took her time explaining a little bit of the history of the food, and all the ingredients that were incorporated and making all the delicious food that was experienced. It was all very tasty, and it felt like the perfect introduction to Vietnamese street food. prior to this food tour I was feeling a little overwhelmed with all the very delicious looking options. This tour helped me feel it ease and dive in to Vietnamese cuisine.! Highly recommend the tour, fantastic variety of food and again Jennifer was just the sweetest.

Amazing street food tour run by Kim Cuc in the heart of the Hanoi old quarter. We visited several hole in the wall local cuisines before finishing on train street and watching the train go by. Her english is great, and she is very social with lots of great tips on things to do/see in Hanoi!

I recently went on a street food tour with Cozy. It was amazing! You eat soo much food it's insane. Go hungry... Pretty much don't eat! Cozy was such a wonderful guide. She just doesn't teach you food and Happy water, she teaches you about Hanoi. She helps you learn how to properly cross the road with all the motorbikes and keeps the group together with her code word "stickyrice" 🤣 She was such a pleasure to be around and made the tour fun. Lots of laughs were had while discovering another side of the city. Definitely worth doing on your visit. There was only one thing that I would of preferred. The tour says street food. We ate at a few "established restaurants" I was expecting only proper street food. Places you might be imitated to go on your own. All in all worth a go to try amazing food with a great guide! Go Cozy!

Pho my god... That was a great tour! I highly recommend going if you desire getting the best of the Hanoi restaurant scene you won't find online. These are the local places where the food is made by Vietnamese for the Vietnamese. We walked until we were stuffed with our amazing tour guide. Daisy led us through the bustling streets of Hanoi, and I highly recommend trying to request her if she's available. The food is made better by the company you get to enjoy it with, and she made the experience really fun. Using humor and local knowledge she added to the stories with information on all the foods we ate. I think we may go back again tonight.

Thommy our tour guide was a great guide, he told us a lot about the food, the stories about each dish and the history of Hanoi and Vietnam. The restaurants were well selected and gave a great insight into the Vietnamese cuisine. I can recommend this tour to anyone !! It's really fun and the three hours went by. At the end of the tour we were more than fed up. Simply book yourself and try it out. Have fun:-)

We had a great time on this tour and definitely recommend it to traveling foodies. Helen was our tour guide, and she brought us to a bunch of delicious places where we tried lots of classic Hanoi dishes. We learned a lot about the Vietnamese food and culture, and she was very relaxed, patient, and informative. We highly recommend this tour, and Helen was awesome.

We loved this tour! We were lucky enough to have a private tour, as no others booked on our day. Long was amazing, the tour flowed really well, the food was all traditional and there were some really tasty dishes (and some we weren't so keen on, but that's all part of the fun!) Not only were we shown the different foods of Hanoi, but we were also given an insight into the culture and life of the Vietnamese people. Long was friendly, chatty, and a great guide! We chose the vegan tour, as we're vegetarian, and it was brilliant. Literally everything we were given was veggie and Long gave us tips on how to chose veggie/ vegan (chay) food during the rest of our trip. Also, Long asked what we'd already tried, and then taylored the tour to allow us to try all new things. Don't have a bad word to say about it!

Brilliant tour with Minh and Che, we loved every single dish and they even went so far as to recommend more places to us for the rest of our trip. They accommodated a veggie in our group very well. We had great chats with them, learning about Vietnamese culture generally and sharing some about our own Irish cultures and traditions. Thank you Minh, you made an amazing and delicious evening for us!

I had a lot of fun on my tour this evening. A nicely balanced mix of exotic fruits, savoury and sweet dishes with a few challenges like sandworm pancakes thrown in to take me out of my comfort zone. The tour was well paced and took in a lot of the colour and clamour of the Old Quarter. Great bunch of people to share it with as well. The real stand out though was our guide Gerri (sorry if I have the spelling wrong). Super professional, able to accommodate the diverse needs of the group, informative but sensitive to what people wanted. Relaxed and charming. All in all, a great introduction to the joys of Hanoi.

Highly recommend especially if you're in Hanoi for the first time. Our tour guide Jessica was great and friendly. She took us to 6 to 7 different stores/stalls to try a variety of different food and they were all so good. All the food were included in the tour.

Hello this is Sheila and Niall Wall from the San Francisco Bay area of California. We took a Hanoi food tour with Sara a few days ago and we wanted to let you know that she did a great job. Loved the tour. Jessica communicated very well and provided a lot of local knowledge to the random questions we had. A lot of the destinations they took us to were better than the over rated destinations YouTubers suggested. Highly recommend joining this food tour.

A friend and I went on a Food Tour with Wendy and it was a great experience! We learned so much about Vietnamese street food and cuisine that we otherwise wouldn’t know of, if not for Wendy’s sharing with us! Wendy’s command of English is great and it really helped to add value to the tour. We went on the tour on the very first day of our trip and that really got us familiar with how to buy street food for the remainder of the trip. Highly recommended if you’d like a primer into Vietnamese cuisine! Say hi to Wendy for me if you do meet her.

Great experience and ideal way to spend first night in Hanoi. Alex showed us all around the area, taught us how to navigate the crazy traffic and we tasted some amazing authentic and local food. Highly recommended coming from a foodie.

This was a really fun way to spend an evening. Friendly and beautiful drivers picked us up at the hotel then we spent several hours eating and drinking our way through Hanoi. The tour guide Mango was really funny and smart. She made sure we had plenty to eat and drink all night. Riding on the back of the motorbike was safe and enjoyable. I will definitely be back to do this tour my next time in Hanoi.

Food was tasty and ticked most of the boxes for what we wanted to try in Vietnam (Bun Cha etc.). Lemon our tour guide was energetic and explained each of the dishes to us. If you want value then keep your $20 and research and go on your own but if you want to get through 7 dishes in one night stress free then take the tour!

  • 5/5 Greg W. 5 years ago on Google
This is street food tour is a lot of fun to take. Recommend doing it as one of the first things you do in Hanoi to get familiar with the Old Quarter, learn about the history, and try all the great food available. You’ll be able to try all the most popular dishes while really learning what you’re eating and how to eat it like a local. Try many local restaurants that you would never think to stop by and explore. Our guide Lemon was full of energy and a fantastic, friendly guide to the city and eating our way through it.

I was in Hanoi for a couple of days and did not have anything plan. Nhi was my guide for my joint group food four and my private scooter food tour. I love it so much I had 2 tours in 2 days. Nhi was one of the best guide I have ever met, her background in food makes her the perfect person to tell you about the ingredients and where to eat. She made a different impact on my overall experience in Hanoi. Worth every penny spent on both days!!!!!

Had a great time getting to know and learn about Vietnamese meals! I probably wouldn't have noticed any of them if I hadn't gone on the tour. Nhi was our guide, and she had fluent English and could easily answer all of our questions (she used to work as a Chef)! Overall had a great time

  • 5/5 Rick B. 1 year ago on Google
We did the vegetarian street food walking tour. Our guide was Nhi. We really did enjoy our tour. We went to street food places where we previously could not eat order because of the language barrier. I also liked that we didnt go to vegan places, but to the local places where they change their classic dish to be vegetarian. The tour was 30 dollars and we ate 8 different things (and were really stuffed at the end). Our tour guide was very informative and friendly.

great tour! the places they took us were very good, the different foods we tried were delicious! but it was our guide Nih (Minnie) who made this tour very special. if you're in Hanoi, you must do this tour and if possible, ask for Nih. she's amazing!!

Highly recommend this tour, it’s a great way to see the old quarter and try the Vietnamese food as well as learn how to eat it properly. My partner and I did the walking tour with our guide Helen who was very friendly and also very knowledgeable about all the food we tried and also knew a lot about Vietnam in general, from history to politics and just everyday life, there was some interesting conversations we covered. Thanks Helen for the tour we felt like it was just going out with a friend than a tour guide. Liam and Ravina

Very informative Street Food tour of Hanoi, in and around the Old Quarter. Our guide, Jasmine, had great command of English and showed us varieties of Hanoian street food. All food included, plus a mineral water and a beer/soft drink. Food is generally what you see around the streets/restaurants of Old Quarter but the tour is worth it just for the meaning, history, and culture behind the food. My recommendation: if you want to know something, ask the guide! 100% recommend.

The best tour we did in Vietnam! Nhi was such an amazing tour guide, so informative and friendly, the food was delicious and unique and Nhi took us to little gems we never would have found ourselves. Not only did she tell us about the food and ingredients in all the dishes, but also history of Hanoi and the culture of people living there as well as history around the food. It really was the highlight of Hanoi for us. We highly highly recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi and make sure you go on an empty stomach - there's so much food! 😄

Sarah, our guide, was super nice and showed us around. We were a group of 6 and enjoyed a great night. We had a lot of food stops and all of them were tasting really good. We can 💯 recommend the tour.

Couple experience with 6 others, hosted by Sarah. Great first day in Hanoi, would recommend to anyone starting off their Vietnam adventure, or any time really. We experienced 8 different dishes at 7 places. Not rushed at all, thoroughly enjoyed our group, host (Sarah) and food venues. We had 3 people with allergies to various kai (myself included) so we didn't experiemce any of the more local delicacies like sand worms (for the adventurous foodie). My favs were #1=Bun Cha & sticky rice and Mango. #2 Mien tron (glass noodles)

We had an incredible tour with Sarah. It was just the two of us but Sarah was fun and energetic to talk with the entire time! She was very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend the evening walking tour through Old Quarter. Our group was led by Sarah who was incredibly interesting and knowledgeable. She was so generous sharing information, not just about Vietnamese street food but the local culture, customs and way of life. It was a real insight into life in Vietnam. All of the food was delicious and spots I probably wouldn’t have been confident enough to visit otherwise. A big thank you to Sarah for making this experience a 10/10!!

This street food tour exceeded my expectations! It was our third and final night in Hanoi and we got to try so many different, authentic Vietnamese dishes. I am vegan and Quynh Anh our tour guide was amazing at catering for both me and my meat eating friend! She was so lovely and shared a great insight into her life living in north Vietnam. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hanoi, the best Vietnamese food we’ve had this trip!
