I can’t recommend Backstreet Tours highly enough. We did the Jeep tour around Hanoi, what a fantastic way to see the city and get your bearings. Ashley, our guide was brilliant, so knowledgeable and engaging. Lunch at the hidden gem cafe was excellent. This tour is excellent value of money. Book it - You won’t be disappointed 🤙

We were on our honeymoon and booked this tour and it didn’t disappoint. It makes you feel like a true local in the madness of Hanois traffic and going into back streets you’d otherwise not dare to venture off into. The evening tour allows you to see the train which is cool. The sustainable restaurant and its mission was great, the food was alright but it’s cool to have supported a small local biz. Jhonny was great and snow was amazing! I think she should be promoted honestly to one of the main tour guides, she was funny, informative and speaks English well so we really understood her. We have traveled a lot and done many tours and the people are what really make it special.

Our family group of 9 all loved this tour, it was great seeing the hidden alleyways of Hanoi as well as how the city lives & breathes. The Hidden Gem cafe was indeed a gem, & the staff went above & beyond to organise a cake for my mum who’s birthday it was on the day. Train Street was a highlight for us all, as was sunset on the bridge. Communication to organise our group was always prompt & excellent. All staff were a delight to spend the day with. We would highly recommend this tour to all!! Best Hanoi Jeep Tours, Best Hanoi Motorbike Tours, Best Vespa Tours Hanoi.

Absolutely loved this tour. Although we have been to Hanoi several times the experience of driving around town in a vintage Jeep was a great thrill. Our guide and driver were excellent. A must for anyone coming to Hanoi

Very nice tour! You can relax on the back of the motorcycle and cruise through the crazy traffic of Hanoi. You stop by some very nice sights and the guide was very charismatic! Stopped for great food and a drink on the train street after too, would most definitely recommend the tour!!

Awesome tour led by Mary / Merry! She’s really knowledgeable and we felt safe with her especially while visiting the local markets and back alley. These are routes we normally would just walk past and won’t take note. Thanks to her, we got to explore and learn so much more about the history and culture of Vietnam. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and all the street food we had, it’s amazing. Lunch that came with the tour was awesome too! Quick crash course on the various Vietnamese food to try. Our tour was conducted on 26 Mar (Sun) 0800-1230hr

just had a very good tour with Dory as our head guide who is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Spent a lovely afternoon motorbiking around Hanoi eating lovely food and seeing all the sites both typical tourist sites and more importantly all the sites you wouldn't otherwise see or find. Highly recommended. Food is all very delicious and ended with a wonderful egg coffee

This tour is a must do for anyone who wants to experience a little taste of hanoi, in terms of lifestyle, culture and food. We rode pillion on vintage bikes, and we covered some must see sights such as the Long Bien Bridge, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, St Joseph cathedral. But more importantly, we got to experience all this on a motorcycle (just like the locals). We rode trough the little narrow alleyways which was thrilling and an eye-opener as we got to peep into the lives (and houses!) of the locals. We got to experience having drinks on the train street and watching the train passing by. We also had a lovely meal at a gorgeous and quaint little cafe called the hidden gem cafe. This cafe was a beauty in itself, having the all the decor made of recycled items. And the food was great. Last but certainly not least, our guide, Mike and Snow were amazing people. They really made the tour special for us. They shared with us little snippets of the hanoi and their lives. Really, don’t hesitate to book as we really cannot put into words what an awesome experience it was.

Had a great tour with Tom & Johnny on our Jeep tour around Hanoi. We had some really nice food, got to true egg coffee, and even with a bit of rain it's a great way to see the city and its surroundings, and the guys made it really fun.

Unfortunately because I didn’t give the guide 5 stars he started to become very animated and told me he would get sacked and couldn’t feed his family….. The trip to banana island was fascinating, I was after something a bit more authentic though. we spent about 45 mins in a local silk shop, which was interesting, as it was a charity type co operative, but wasn't what I was looking for. Some other people that I spoke to spent more time in local markets, when I asked the guide about the wet markets he was unsure what / where these where. The jeep is though a fantastic way to get round.

This tour was the highlight of our time in Hanoi! Hanoi is famous for its motorbike culture & its the best way to experience the real Hanoi! Tim & the gang were friendly, funny & knew how to have some great fun! Must-do for anyone wanting to learn about & experience the backstreet life of the city, see some sights, eat great food, meet interesting people, climb over the railings on the massive old train bridge & on to the tracks (need a head for heights!😯😂) & have a beer in the train street. Fabulous! 😍

Chris -Hoang was a wonderful guide. He mentioned it was actually his off day but he did not seem unhappy or disappointed. He was jolly, knowledgeable and had good humor. We enjoyed listening to some of the histories of Vietnam, along with the culture. We also enjoyed the places he took us and of course the drive by another sweet driver (sorry forgot his name). Appreciate both the boys’ guidance with smile on their faces. Thank you Chris for a wonderful time. Me and my wife enjoyed the tour and not to forget the delicious lunch.

We discovered the REAL Hanoi, thanks to expert tour guide Ryley and our superb driver Chung. It was a three hour tour all over Hanoi past iconic official building, museums, busy narrow market lanes to wide roads…all on a stately and authentic Vietnamese Army Jeep :) Meeting Ryley was like meeting an old friend. She was kind, polite and took great care of us! The tour also included a thrilling visit to Train Street and the Red Bridge. I highly recommend Tommy’s Backstreet Tours. 5 stars!

Had an absolutely amazing day with Louis on the Hanoi Back Street tour organized by them from start to finish as we were arriving by cruise ship so we needed taxis etc. Our guide Louis's knowledge of the local area, history and Vietnam was incredible! Louis English was amazing and he took us round some brilliant spots & highlights of Hanoi, he knows all the best places for cool photos which he took of us and we got to see the real Hanoi, learning so much & seeing loads! If you don't book this when your Hanoi you're seriously missing out!! The food during the tour was amazing and we got to try some phenomenal local food! The Hidden Gem cafe is just that a hidden gem and a proper instagrammable location with amazing food and eggcoffee too! Will be telling everyone how amazing this trip was! Our driver was so careful, an amazing driver and the jeep was soo cool!! Book this tour you'll see so much, honestly amazing!!

This tour is a must! This is the best city tour we have done. We saw all the normal sites and best of all we saw the real Hanoi. Chris and Xuân took us to places we would have never seen or eaten at. It was like riding around a new city with firends that wanted to show off the local food and sites. It's the best way to see and enjoy this incredible city. Thanks Chris & Xuân

Took the Hanoi Jeep Tour at sunset and night. Had a great time seeing Hanoi like we would not have without this tour! It was a wild adventure through the streets of Hanoi, seeing people pass by and waive on motorbikes as we enjoyed the fun novelty of sitting in a soviet-era Jeep. Went through main areas and backstreets. Beautiful scenery, people watching and interesting meeting some locals. A great way to see Hanoi beyond just walking around and going to Museums. Chris was a great host and guide! Fun and funny.

Our family (4 adults) booked a Backstreet Tours 1/2 day bike tour of Hanoi and made a great time. Note this is not a food tour but a tour that takes to some of the important tourist and cultural sites but mainly travels the back streets giving a fascinating view of ordinary life in Hanoi. Our guide, Danny, spoke English very well and was a wealth of local information. Pick up and drop off is at your hotel and the tour ends with lunch featuring Hanoi dishes and local drinks including egg or chocolate coffee, both are delicious. Note the tour includes a wet market not compulsory but a great insight into life of the locals and how they buy their food. Highly recommend for something that will entertain and educate.

Amazing day with Mary our guide and Mike her co rider, picked up on time as promised, and were taken out to see the paddy fields and parts of Hanoi you would not get to see otherwise, temples, lotus tea, bridges, rail tracks we experienced so much then back to Hidden Gem for a great and generous lunch( warning either no breakfast or a small plate) Back out to the crazy streets of Hanoi and more great sightseeing, with a great finale to cap off a wonderful day. Mary was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour and Mikes knowledge of the true backstreets of Hanoi made this a day never to be forgotten.

Wow - what a tour. Trump was our guide, we learned so much about Hanoi and Vietnam and had so much fun. Trump spoke fantastic English and was very humorous. This was the best 5 hours of our trip to Vietnam and I would highly recommend a tour.

Hanoi Backstreet Tours.....It was absolutely exhilarating zipping through Hanoi at night on the back of a motorbike and hopping off at gorgeous locations to take in the views and chat a bit about their historical significance. That alone would have been a great tour, but the fact that it was also a foodie tour, with leisurely stops at several specially-selected restaurants, made it all the more exquisite. Thanks to the extensive insider's knowledge--and, frankly, excellent taste--of Tho, our charismatic tour coordinator, we not only ate like locals, we ate like locals who were totally in the know. Props must also be given to our awesome drivers, Aurora and Stella, who made us feel completely safe at all times. We felt lucky to have spent our last night in Hanoi with fun and charming folks who felt more like old friends than tour guides.

This is definitely a must in Hanoi - Our guide Dory was really knowledgeable and informative and amazing to talk to! We got to know Hanoi suburbs outside of the French quarter, which gave us a much better picture of Hanoi’s history and cumtural heritage! Massive thanks to Dory and we’d definitely recommend this tour even if you only have a few days in Hanoi!

Fantastic tour -- I'm not usually much for tours, but we decided to spend half a day doing g this one after hearing about it from our hotel and seeing the other great reviews. Daisy, our guide, was great and very informative. She showed us a bunch of local spots, tailored the tour to our requests, and we had a lot of fun. All part of a great birthday. Our driver was also very nice and the Jeep was a fun way to see part of the city!

Dory and Happy were great. We always felt safe on the bikes, even during the storms. Went through some beautiful alleyways, on foot and bike. Swerved our way through interesting markets before heading out to some villages on the outskirts of Hanoi where we watched some local craftspeople go to work. We really really enjoyed this tour.

Amazing experience! 100% would recommend! There is so much of Hanoi that we were able to see that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. Dory was an amazing tour guide! She speaks very good English and was so knowledgeable. We had the most amazing day! Seeing Hanoi on a motorbike is a must! Do not miss this experience! It is so worth the money!

I have lived here in Hanoi for 7 months and this was my best trip so far. I learnt so much, i really hadn’t learnt enough about the culture , the people and the way of life here and I felt this tour really elevated my understanding on all three fronts . We toured a large (really large ) farm here in the centre of Hanoi, how I was unaware of this until the trip is another story, we toured community areas which showed how the poor, the mainstream and the wealthy live, and much more . My partner and I really loved it, we also got the private tour as we needed some flexibility in hours, the extra cost was not much and gave us good access to Linh our guide who was very knowledgeable and generous with his time and information. Linh was very kind and continually asked us if we had questions and if we were comfortable, we really appreciated his contribution. This will be my “go to” tour when I have friends come and visit me here in Hanoi.

Amazing tour of the lesser seen Hanoi by Jeep. Really engaging hosts showed us the real Hanoi, from the French quarter to motorbike parks markets, food markets to hidden cafes. Great food along the way and the chance to taste the local beer. The company has a policy too that donates a percentage of the profits to charity support kids. We went as a family with teenagers. Would recommend highly!

Had a fantastic time with Hanoi Backstreet tours, we went througn many unique and beautiful places by one of the most vintage motorcycles in Viet Nam - They’re supported by the Soviet union during the Vietnam war The drivers are well-trained and I felt very safe and at ease on the bike with them Definitely recommend to anyone

Booked a last minute tour with the Backstreet team and Che our wonderful tour guide came right on time to pick us up at our hotel. This being her first stint as a tour guide she was amazing. She showed us the touristy and the hidden gems of Hanoi. She ensured to take care of our group and our special needs (diet, mobility etc.). Chris who was our driver for the evening was also wonderful. Thanks to the two of them, our quick pit stop to Hanoi was made entertaining with some great experiences and yum food! Thank you to the Backstreet team and Che! For arranging this impromptu tour! Five stars for the service! Although a bit expensive but absolutely worth it.

I have never imagined a street tour on a jeep - a whole new experience compared to just a mere city tour on a bus. It is the most amazing few hours during this trip here in Hanoi. It started with a sumptuous lunch at the hidden gem cafe (a place not to be missed in Hanoi), followed by a whole afternoon of very informative sightseeing to many places of interest. We stopped for a beer just next to the train track just right before the time the train went past. What a heart stopping moment seeing the train zoomed past just centimetres away. A big shout-out to Hannah, who is marvellous as the tour guide - knowledgeable and warm, who explained everything throughout the tour, and thanks to the driver for patiently driving us to places.

We Loved this tour, it was the best happening while in Hanoi! Our guide Finn was full of knowledge and took us to places we never otherwise would have explored. Also many Thanks to Mr driver that was maneouvering around with ease making is feel safe during the wjole tour. My 10yr old really enjoyed it. We ended the morning at the Hidden cafe where we were treated with lunch and egg coffee. Thank You Backstreet folks for this memorable day!

We did the Hanoi Backstreet Tours on Vespa bike and it was outstanding! Chris or Haung and his friend was amazing. Always felt safe on the Vespa even when he had to jump start the Vespa. Took us all around and constantly providing information. It was well worth it and a lot of fun.

This trip was amazing, a definite must do. We did the night trip, and wow, did we see some amazing parts of Hanoi. We saw the opera house, got to cruise through the slums, aka the farm area down dirt roads past a rubbish dumb and saw a floating village. We went through the skinny back alleys and walked through a market, we also got to see the people visiting Hoh chi minh and the soldiers marching. We got to experience train street and the feel of the train zooming past. Another highlight was the train/motorbike bridge. I had an amazing young man called Phi driving me, and my partner Saym had the tour guide Jack. Both these young men are exceptional, Jack is knowledgeable and makes the experience even better. To the owners, please fix your bikes. Mine kept stalling and cutting out and not starting due to starter and mechanical issues. This is not the fault of Phi, and the poor dude kept saying sorry for something that is not his doling. Thanks, Phi and Jack.

I had an absolutely amazing experience on the Jeep day tour in Hanoi! The tour was a perfect blend of adventure and sightseeing. The knowledgeable guide took us through scenic routes, giving us an authentic taste of the local culture and breathtaking landscapes. The Jeeps were well-maintained and added a unique charm to the journey. From exploring hidden gems to enjoying delicious local cuisine, every moment was filled with excitement. I can't recommend this tour enough – it's a fantastic way to explore Hanoi and create unforgettable memories.
