Our stay at the Essence Hanoi Hotel & Spa was really special. We had a really nice and relaxing experience staying here. The location of the hotel is excellent, in the heart of the Old Quarter. The service staff is super nice and friendly. The food is amazing and the spa experience was also very good. The breakfast could have been nicer though, but it was okay overall.

We stayed 4 nights and loved the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location was great for exploring the old quarter. The staff were very friendly and helped us with restaurant recommendations. The roof top bar has great views of the city, and the food and drinks were great. The breakfast buffet has Vietnamese dishes as well as fruit, bread, and eggs made to order. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything about our stay here was perfect. The hotel staff helped us book activities beforew we arrived and even helped with one of our visas which kept getting rejected. Upon arrival we were met with a friendly staff and warm greeting. The rooms were perfect for our family of four and the location was a short walk from everything we wanted to experience in Hanoi. Massages in the spa were wonderful and the restaurant gave our homesick kids some western comforts that were much needed. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Hanoi and especially those with kids.

A value traveler will love this hotel. Spend a little extra and have wonderful evening in the bar and rooftop patio. Rooms a great and staff is amazing. Free in room bar. Amazing breakfast is included. While smaller, the outside pool is very inviting. Loved this place!!!

This place was recommended to me by a local tour guide. Did not disappoint. My cab driver actually passed by it when I was first dropped off - doesn’t look like much from outside - but once you step inside it’s gorgeous! Reception has super high ceilings - felt very grand. Boutique luxury hotel. I left the hotel wishing I could have stayed another night. Breakfast was really good! Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Very friendly staff invited us in as we walked past the hotel, letting us know that there was a lovely rooftop patio. Once upstairs we were shown the patio and told they would serve us up there even though it was closed and also informed us that food would not be served for another hour. We ordered drinks that were delicious, paid & were then left alone for over an hour. I finally went downstairs to request drink & food menus, asking if someone could come up to take our orders. After 15 minutes of waiting for service we opted to leave and find lunch elsewhere. It’s a beautiful and clean hotel with a lovely patio but the service left much to be desired.

Great hotel, location is near historical attractions. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it had great Vietnamese food. What's really special about this hotel is the staff. Staff at the reception to the restaurant were fantastic. It happened to be my birthday during my stay, and the manager at the lobby wished me happy birthday, and the door men. Then went I for breakfast at the restaurant, the staff there also wished my happy birthday and they came with a birthday cake (and song)! A pleasant surprise. Everyday of our stay the staff were very hospitable and helpful

My stay at the Aira Boutique Hanoi Hotel was amazing. The service was top tier. Tony was especially excellent and kind. He took a lot of time to provide me with great recommendations and was incredibly helpful in general. The room was gorgeous. The breakfast was lovely as well. Overall, my experience at Aira was great, and I recommend it to anyone traveling to Hanoi.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is located in a great spot between old Hanoi and the parks and grounds around the French quarter. The rooms were quiet and super comfortable, and everything was clean and worked properly. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding, and the staff were super helpful. We also enjoyed the rooftop lounge.

Aira hotel was great. Specifically, the staff were awesome. We loved the bartenders at the sky bar. They made great drinks, were super friendly and made us feel right at home (also spoke English very well). The waiters and waitresses in the restaurant were also so kind and gave us great recommendations of things to do and see in the city. The hotel was lovely, food was great and staff AMAZING! We feel like we have new friends in Vietnam! Be sure to spend some time in the evenings at the sky bar with the great bartenders. Won’t disappoint!

Excellent hotel. Great value. The location is perfect - easy walk to all locations and on a quiet street relative to many other hotels. The breakfast buffet was perfect. Yummy food and good variety. The front desk service was outstanding. They go above and beyond to look after you. Always felt very safe and looked after.

The Aira hotel is amazing because the staff are so good, it’s always the team that make the difference between good and great. Nothing was too much trouble, they always did what they said they would do, everyone was friendly and they couldn’t do enough for us but they didn’t get in the way. If you come to Hanoi and want a cool boutique hotel, stay here. We loved it.

Our stay at the Aira was a standout for our honeymoon in Vietnam, providing an experience on par or better than 5 star hotels. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was excellent, location is right next to Train Street, and the breakfast was outstanding. I would absolutely stay there again if I was to come back to Hanoi.

Amazing hospitality by wonderful staff. Location is decent, you can walk around the city and see the most common tourist attractions. We highly recommend the Spa area and the relaxing massages. Also, the breakfast is incredible and the staff at the rooftop bar makes sure you’ll enjoy a wonderful sunset above Hanoi.

Wow that’s what we call a fantastic hotel! Amazing in every way! We love the pool view suite and the breakfast and of course the roof top bar. But the staff really is the cherry on top! Front office, breakfast crew and everybody else is super attentive and once you ask for something, they just do it again without even asking. It was the best hotel during 21 nights in Vietnam. The team at Aira is best in class. Everyone—from the front desk staff to the bellhop—is dialed into the guests’ needs, and quick to provide help. When we arrived Tony provided ideas on our itinerary and on our last night the staff at the rooftop bar offered complimentary beers. We also had a tremendous experience working with the Quinn at the tailor shop located in the lobby. We customize designed womens linen pants in less than 4 days. The room was small but clean, modern in design, and the bed was very comfy. Also, don’t miss the pool ;-)

The staff are outstanding. Helpful, friendly, charming, polite, efficient, knowledgeable. Our room was very good, though compact. The breakfast was exceptional, as were the restaurant staff. Dinner at the restaurant was the best food we had in weeks of travel across Vietnam. The pool was a welcome respite after hot days out. Would we stay again? In a flash!

The Aira hotel was such a perfect location to explore the city and for sight seeing. It’s in a very safe area we had no issues whatsoever. The staff were very attentive and made sure we were well looked after! I want to say a big thank you to Long from the roof top bar of Aira hotel. He made us feel extremely comfortable and was always a pleasure to chat with. Long wanted to give us an authentic Vietnamese experience and took us out for dinner, which meant the world to us. Thank you Long! Mark and Khang looked after us very well at the very top of the roof top bar. Everyone is extremely friendly ♥️ The rooms are gorgeously decorated and super comfortable. The hotel designs were super breathtaking! I took many photos of the scenery. The lobby service is super fast and efficient any issues we had was sorted out in an instant! Thank you everyone for looking after us ☺️

I was so lucky to book here. It was perfect. We stayed in a junior suite on the 6th floor. It was gorgeously decorated with exquisite artwork. The staff was exceptional and the breakfast delicious If you are lucky you will have "Happy" as your waiter. Be sure to come back for dinner and enjoy one of the 4 optional menus..real Vietnamese. Everyone wanted to help. There is an ATM a brief walk outside the front door and the Turtle Tower Park and Water Puppet Theatre are both in walking distance.

AIRA ROOFTOP BAR: this place is located above a boutique hotel. The drinks were quite good, the service is great! Spring rolls were good too! Would I come back? Not for the view but the service of the bar staff! They were very attentive and helpful.

Nice place. I stayed here for 4 days & the room is very comfortable. Even the bed, my friend said she never realized that I woke up or move as its too comfy. All the staff are very friendly & gave very good service. Also the breakfast also quite good. As a muslim, I'm quite worried about the menu, but the staff there even offered to prepared other food for us. For the price range, for me its affordable. Very recommended!! This place also near the train street.

Highly recommend! I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was very clean, and the drinks in the mini bar (including the beers) were free. The pool was clean as well. The staff here were extremely helpful and friendly, including the people working at the sky bar, restaurant and the spa. Also highly recommend going to their spa especially during happy hour (30% off!). Location was great! Only a minute walk to the famous train street, and also close to a lot of the popular restaurants. I had a few work video calls to take, and I was worried about the wifi not working but it worked fine for the most part. Breakfast was okay. A lot of variety which was great but I don’t think I will get breakfast at the hotel if I ever stay again. Overall, great hotel! Would recommend to everyone traveling to Hanoi.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were welcomed very friendly from the hotel staff and the service throughout the stay was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice - a good mixture of Vietnamese and western food and a good selection to choose from. The pool looked bigger than on the photos but it’s nice to cool off during hot days but don’t really expect to be able to swim laps. The gym is also basic and small but for a short stay ok. The location is perfect and easy to get around in the old quarter on foot. Seeing we enjoyed our stay we thought about staying at the partner hotel in Hoi An. So this hotel is a definite recommendation 😊

Ate at Essence restaurant. Very good menu, with the great flavours of Vietnam. Unfortunately their frying oil needed replacing and this detracted taste from some of the deep fried dishes. Great welcome but service generally was not initiated often by the numerous staff who stood around "star gazing .

We couldn’t be happier with our stay in Aira hotel. The reception staff were extremely helpful and organized our trip to halong bay very quickly along with taxi transfers when necessary. The bedroom was very spacious, bright and well decorated with all amenities (toothbrush, comb etc…) and they serve a great breakfast. The pool is ideal for a quick dip to cool off or just relax on the sun loungers with a drink. We ate in the essence restaurant on the first day as we arrived quite late and the food and waiters were fantastic, Daisy was extremely helpful and kind and hotel guests receive a 10% discount on food. The sky bar is lovely at night for a nightcap with a relaxing vibe and lovely views across the city. The location is perfect, a short walk to train street and all the main sights. I would 100% recommend this hotel and stay here again when visiting Hanoi.

Location is perfect, one minute walk to the famous train street and much more. Staff are amazing and very helpful. Christine from the reception went above and beyond to make sure we enjoy our stay. Promptly organised all the food tours and cruises and even negotiated good pricing for us. Tam Nguyen - food tour guide was very kind and have very good knowledge about the local food. Great hotel, big rooms, and excellent customer service. I was amazed especially by Julie, who exchanged WhatsApp numbers with me. She was extremely responsive to any inquiries and questions I had during my stay in Hanoi, giving me plenty of food and tourism recommendations. I can’t believe this hotel is only 3-star. The quality and attentiveness I received was better than that of 5-star hotels. Highly recommend anyone to stay here.

For a 3 star hotel it was 3 main things, well located (within the old quarter of Hanoi), well air conditioned and had lovely and charming staff. The rooms, although not hugely interesting were cool (literal sense), well sound proofed, had NO mosquitos whatsoever and were comfortable with a decent bathroom. Food in the morning and at tea (3:15-5:00) were great, just what you might want for a hot and sweaty trip around Hanoi, with light fruit or pancakes or just nice cold juices (along with Vietnamese food and some french). And tea was a welcome cooling break with crisp and refreshing lemongrass iced tea. Staff, particularly Joe and Phoebe were kind, well spoken and dedicated (Joe woke at 4:30am to welcome us) Although not Luxurious, it is a perfect spot for a few days to explore the bustling city of Hanoi. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Super nice and helpful staff. All staff speaks English very well and provide the second to none customer service. It is cool and comfortable inside. All rooms and the hotel in general are very clean. The hotel is in the center of the very busy city hub. Despite of the city noises on the street, it was dead quiet in our room. Definitely recommend this place.

The staff offers you a personalised service, they are extremely friendly and very caring. We have to thank to Julie, she was very professional booking our excursions. She went through out all details so we could pick the best tour for us. The location of the hotel is just perfect, offering plenty of shops and street food just outside the door. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious, real Vietnamese cuisine. Leo works in the restaurant and was determined to give us the best service, very professional,always with a smile on his face, gave us advice on how to enjoy the Vietnamese food and how it is cook so we could have the best experience. Definitely the best waiter we ever had. We highly recommend this hotel

The hotel indeed is totally worth it ! Situated in the most busy part of Hanoi, the old quarter, the hotel is very comfortable and staff is great. We stayed in a double bed bedroom with an extra bed. And you have the yummy Essence Restaurant serving you breakfast

Spent 2 nights here. Position is great, the old quarter is within walking distance and there so much to see around. The hotel is clean and very nice, rooms are comfortable enough. I also liked the breakfast, there’s pretty much everything you’d want, and many dishes are prepared at the order, like eggs and pancakes. Finally, the staff was super friendly and very attentive to the customer needs. Would definitely recommend.

This was by far the best ever service experience we had, we stayed two nights at Aira hotel Hanoi after a couple of days Sapa. Everyone at the reception was extremely nice and helpful and especially Ken went over and beyond, even offered us to buy coconut crisps on his off day when we had trouble finding it (we found it in the end ourselves based on his tips). The room was very fancy boutique style and extremely clean. The pool looked nice too, just like the sky bar, but we didn't have the chance to try either one unfortunately. The Vietnamese coffee, especially the iced coconut one is fantastic. The hotel is very central and the reception also helped us to find the train street, which is very closely located. All in all 100% recommendation, we will come again as 2 days in Hanoi were by far not enough (and coming from Singapore it's not far at all).

The Aira Boutique Hotel was an especially warm welcome into Hanoi. We loved how proximal it was to many of the experiences we wanted to have while in the city. Tony, the management team, and the staff provide lots of support with the drivers and logistics to get us to our next destination. We appreciated the stay, and would stay again. Especially, since we had some unforeseen events in travel planning and needed to postpone. They helped reschedule and even secured the family suite for us for the 3-nights we needed them.

First time to Vietnam, and our first time travelling since the pandemic started. Amazing hotel. The service was excellent, the staff were great, very friendly and helpful with directions/recommendations. Breakfast was lovely, and with a nice view from the 9th floor. Highly recommend this hotel and encourage everybody to start traveling to this beautiful country again!

Great boutique hotel a stone’s throw away from the train street and the old quarter. Rooms were spacious, well-equipped and modern. The spa was fantastic! Breakfast was ok and a bit uninspiring, but that would be my only complaint. The best part however was all the staff, the receptionists, massage therapists, bellboys - went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. We were given a map, instructions, recommendations, and a very warm welcome.

I will write a separate review post my trip but I need to compliment their service leading up to our stay which has been nothing short of exceptional. Thank-you to Jane for responding to my urgent request for help with my visa. Within minutes, Jane reached out to me, requested all of the relevant details, submitted my application and followed up with customs to make sure it was processed before the local office closed. I was due to fly out Sunday and I only contacted the hotel about my delayed application status on the Friday. If it weren’t for Jane, our trip would be cancelled. Thank you for your above and beyond service! Beyond grateful and very much looking forward to our stay.

Fantastic service - all our encounters with hotel staff were positive. Great breakfast buffet. Our room was clean and tidy. I appreciated the free minibar and that there was water in glass bottles and toiletries in refillable ceramic containers. The pool area is small and the loungers fill up quickly but the pool is refreshing and the views are nice.

Such a beautiful boutique gem at the heart of Hanoi. Absolutely amazing staff. Such a shame we only stayed for one night but will definitely come back and recommend our family and friends when we visit Hanoi. The front desk staff Ms Sam who welcomed us to the hotel was simply fantastic. Well done!

Had a lovely stay at Aira Boutique. The staff at the reception is very friendly and welcoming specially Mr. Ken who was very kind and accomodating. We made the booking at the last moment but he made sure we got a fair deal. He also arranged the airport drop off for us for 3 am at a good price. He was very hospitable and respectful to us. The room was clean and very well styled. We also loved the rooftop bar and the swimming pool. Would love to come again and stay at Aira Boutique whenever we visit Hanoi.

Very cute boutique hotel with lovely staff, especially May. Rooms a bit on the smaller side but decorated beautifully and very comfortable. Sound insulation is very good. Mini bar items were included in the stay and replenished daily which is a nice touch. Location is good - close to train street and the main action. Food was delicious. The restaurant on the roof is great with very good food and fantastic views!

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and all I could say in one word. Excellent! Though the hotel is small in scale, the service provided by the entire crew is top-notch (especially Tony & Christine). They took efforts to ensure that we are well taken care of in every aspect of our stay at the hotel. We were very impressed with the way the hotel staff handled even the slightest complaint in much professional manner that we had never experienced before with some of the major hotels we had stayed before in this region. If in Hanoi again, we will definitely go back to Aira Boutique.

We travel the world and have had the privilege to stay at many awesome properties and I personally believe Aira is amongst one of them now. The staff is amazing and they really go out of their way to make you feel special. Way more than your moneys worth. Truly a special experience staying here in Hanoi. The restaurant Essence is one of the finest. Food is impressive and so is the service. The young joiners in particular Leo & Kim are a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend this Hotel.

Beautiful hotel close to “train street” . The front desk was very kind and helpful in arranging pick up from the airport. The room was clean with water and mini fridge replenished daily. Breakfast included was great. Many thanks to Christine at front desk for being so kind in walking me to the pharmacy nextdoor when I had tooth pain. She translated for me and was very caring. The staff are friendly and speak English very well. Suzy at front desk always smiling. Lily at restaurant helped to explain how to eat traditional Hanoi dishes. Thank you!

Excellent hotel in a great location in Hanoi, especially for the very reasonable price! The room was always clean and the free mini-bar that was restocked daily was a nice touch (especially for the waters which we needed!). The room was also beautiful and spacious withe a comfortable bed and pillows. The real highlight of this place, however, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. Of particular note was Suzy at the front desk, who kindly checked us in early on arrival and went out of her way to help us on several occasions. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel and staff. Perfect location. Room spacious and very nice. Also very good to have double doors/windows, this completely blocks the noise from the street. Cleanliness 4/5. Giving this a 4-star rating because breakfast wasn’t great and rooftop bar music quite uninviting - would really recommend playing some chilled music instead :)

Very spacious rooms, super clean, room amenities are great. If you are looking for a cozy comfortable stay, go for it. Close to most of the attractions and can have a good safe outing in the night. Close to street shopping spots for footware and cloths. Walking distance to many cool places. They serve a great breakfast at the hotel so if you are a tourist that will be away most of the day, book for B&B. Staff is also friendly and will support you with tips to places to visit. Great hotel!

It’s really just perfect. Modern, boutique, and comfortable with genuinely thoughtful and kind service from every member of staff. The restaurant on the 9th is flawless, with excellent local food options at reasonable prices. The spa was gorgeous and offer a terrific happy-hour of 30% off between 1-3pm weekdays. The sky bar has terrific views and an albeit slightly-odd happy hour of buy 2 get 3rd free. 100% recommend.
