I didn't expect much luxury for the price I paid.I was surprised to see that the room (2 double beds) stands up to 4-5 stars standarts. We were upgraded with the room even though we didn't ask for it and they had the room we booked. It's spacious, beautiful and well designed. Beds are super comfortable. The balcony gives a view of the vivid old quarter, yet the room is quiet throughout day and night. Breakfast was good. The staff are extra kind and helpful. They always offer to help you even if you don't need their help. Some of them even remembered us by name. The manager is around and it seems that this friendly attitude comes from above. This is by far the best place we stayed in Vietnam. I would highly recommend to stay here when you visit Hanoi.

I feel disappointed to leave this review because the manager and staff were all really friendly, welcomed us with a smile and were active in helping to resolve the issues. However, the hotel itself needs some serious work, and I hope this honest feedback can help them improve for future visitors. Firstly, when we arrived at first the hotel (Golden Sun Suites) after a tiring travel, we were told that the room we had booked wasn’t available. The staff offered us another, smaller room. The room was full of mosquitos, had little amenities and was very small. We immediately rejected the option because it wasn’t what we paid for. The staff understood, apologised and got us another hotel. Now, the second hotel (‘Nova Luxury Hotel’, renamed ‘Siva Luxury Hotel’) - we arrived and were offered the family suite for an extra cost. This was supposedly their best room. It had a balcony and a fairly comfortable bed. The problems: * There was no hot water for the majority of our stay - the cleaner tried to fix it and then said she would sort it later, but it didn’t get sorted. After asking 5-6 times they finally sorted it in the evening of the last day. They did kindly apologise for the inconvenience though. * The toilet sprayer was leaking the whole time, and the bathroom floor was constantly flooded. They came on the last day and taped it up. After half an hour it was leaking again. Furthermore, the toilet spray wouldn’t fit into the holder, so had to lie on the floor. The cleaner later told us not to use it, but there was no toilet roll provided either. By this point we felt uncomfortable to use the toilet and we had to shower in cold water. Not a good experience when trying to have a relaxing and comfortable stay over with your partner (video of the toilet sprayer attached). * Furthermore, the Wi-Fi was practically unusable. It cut out constantly and wouldn’t load for the majority of the time. Average download speed of 3Mbps. * The AC controller didn’t work when we first entered the room. They came to the room and fiddled with the controller then said it was working. We tried again and it was still not working. Staff had to come back up again, went to get a different controller. It worked fine after that. * They promoted a breakfast offering of eggs and toast to “compliment an excellent selection of buffet” - there was no buffet. We just had eggs, toast and coffee. * The TV was completely outdated and wouldn’t work properly. There were no channels. YouTube was installed but you’d have to wait 10 minutes for it to load up and then suffer through 2-second pauses every 10 seconds. We had the staff come to the room to fix things about 10 times over a 2-day stay. I thank the staff for their friendliness and patience - this is what the 1 star is for - however, I was honestly relieved to be leaving after our short stay at this hotel. It is unusual for me to leave such a negative review and I feel guilty for this, but please do better for future guests.

Ideal location in Hanoi, relatively quiet street (by Hanoi standards obviously), affordable, great breakfast including eggs and Pho, and really attentive staff. Stayed here for a month and no complaints whatsoever.

Even before we check into this hotel, we asked to keep the "loot" from shopping with them as we were heading to Ha Giang before returning to stay in this hotel in Hanoi. No worries at all. the staff agreed readily and was most helpful. Checking in was a simple affair, Just a quick snap of our passports and all was ready. I really felt welcome by the staff when I walked in. It was great. Walking into the room, there was a burst of flowery fragrance, and rose petals were scattered on the beds. Room was, of course, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not widespread but was great. Both Asian and western style food for the picking. Staff was really outstanding, and they really made us feel like coming back.

This is the hotel to stay when you want to choose the Old Quarter in Hanoi. Firstly, immediately after I placed my booking the manager, Anna, called me via WhatsApp to arrange for a wonderful overnight boat trip to Ha Long Bay. She did it out of genuine kindness with no hidden agenda behind. She bargained for a good price for the boat trip for me and as well got my room upgraded to a better one. Upon my arrival at the hotel I felt like I have known her a long time. The reception was warm and friendly. The whole hotel staff received me with smiles and friendliness. They did that to every guest. The staff made effort to know their guests before they arrived. The service they provided here was exceptional. They went over and above to make sure that guests were satisfied. I stayed for two nights and left them with a heavy heart. I recommend highly this small yet cosy hotel to readers of Google map. I would like to add that the TV in the room was a smart TV so you can watch YouTube 😏😏

Super friendly helpful staff. Great location within walking distance to all that the Hanoi old quarter has to offer. Spacious rooms that are very neat and clean with great ambience. Breakfast was better than some and as good as most couldn't complain. Have stayed here for four nights and enjoyed or stay. Highlt recommend this hotel for great quality and great price. Would stay here again when I visit Hanoi.

The rooms, were very small, nothing luxurious about them, hot water problems, Ac remote, non functional TV. Got ripped off by booking a cruise through them. Paid double of actual cost. Breakfast options were limited with Bad coffee!!!

NOTE: is not called “Nova Luxury Hotel” anymore. Now is called “Siva Luxury Hotel” Great hospitality, rooms are nice and clean, we didn’t have any problems with water or electricity. Breakfast was good, just a few options of fruit (some of the fruit had flies flying around 😅) other than that it was ok. Super convenient location, walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops We will stay here again if we go back to Hanoi.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Very good management staff who impressed me with aiming to provide the most enjoyable guest stay and striving for continuous improvement. A minor observation with our room's bathtub design where outlying sidespray from the shower would flow onto the floor though.

This hotel is very charming and they have a very nice staff. Daniel, the manager, was very welcoming and took care of us, as his team, always with smile. He gave us very good recommandations about Sapa tour and what to do in Hanoi. The beds are comfortable, everything is clean. We were upgraded twice :) The breakfast is good. I definitely recommand this hotel to any tourist!

Really friendly staff and very happy to help us to ensure we have a great experience. Inexpensive stay. Not a problem to leave luggage with them either while traveling.

Friendly staffs. Clean environment. Smaller hotels like these, gives a personal touch to guests. Breakfast spread is really good too. Strategically located. Walking distance to most attractions. Recommended.

We were told the hotel just (re)opened under new management this month. Great service, very nice and professional staff. The location is close to the Hanoi city center. The suite room has a nice balcony view and the breakfast buffet provided was good. If you have any requests for the breakfast just ask the staff and they will provide it for you (we asked for an omelette and fried eggs). Staff is always up to help you, if you have any questions. They will arrange tours to Ha Long Bay and Sapa if requested. Overall a great experience.

This place was very accommodating! All the staff were really nice and eager to help. Even while we were just waiting, they served us delicious passion fruit juice, water and fruits. But the best thing of all is their bedding. We really appreciate a nice bed and a good sleep and those sheets did not disappoint! Thanks Nova Luxury Hotel!
