Highly recommended free local tour !!! Traveling doesn't count without interacting with locals. I believe in understanding a country through its history and people. We are lucky to know Hanoikids while surveying for the trip. We are honoured to have Nana and Chang's great company for half a day. They are amazing, young at age but well versed with Vietnamese history. It was a rainy days, We decided to take a spontaneous stroll down a few historic places like woman museum and hoa lu prison. We spoke like bunch of friends, exchanging interesting customs and tradition between our countries. We really feel closer to this amazing city Hanoi after the tours.

This tour ruined all other tours for me. We were picked up from our hotel by two lovely girls who are in university. They sat with us and formulated a eating tour. No issue being a family of four with a baby. We walked to nearby restaurants. The conversation was amazing, and food delicious and authentic. It’s a tour experience like no other. For the cost of a few cheap meals, you get genuine conversation. Talking was easy and I was able to communicate better with them than I do my own mother. By the end my five year old was enamoured with them. I only wished they’d have ate more themselves. Either they eat like birds, or I have a very skewed and gluttonous view of what is an appropriate amount of food.

We had a great time on our food tour with Hanoi Kids. The restaurants they chose were excellent. We really enjoyed the discussions we had with the guides on culture in Vietnam (we have kids their age so could relate) and Australia. It was a highlight of our time in Hanoi. Really, really good 👍

I had wonderful experience with my foreign friends and our tour-guides for my trips in Vietnam. The student guides really surprised me with lots of insights about life and culture here, also the best places to eat that I can't find out myself. This is already the second time we've been to Hanoi and I always book with Hanoikids. Highly recommend for you guyss !!!

We had a great tour by two very nice ladies. They were very interested in what we wanted to see and what we were interested in. We went to a few tourist attractions, and then they took and showed us some lesser known sights. They also knew a great place for dinner, (Bun Cha) and were very easy to talk to. They knew a lot about the sights we visited, and asked us a lot of questions about our culture. All around a lot of fun and a lot of learning. Couldn't recommend more, especially since it's free.

We did 2 different tours with Hanoikids. The city tour of the old quarter, and the food tour. Both were fantastic! Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable, they were able to help us understand Vietnamese culture, history, architecture, food, and traditions in an authentic and affordable way! The conversations were great, and it was a very memorable experience for us in Hanoi!

We.loved our afternoon with two Vietnamese students, visiting the lake island, the ancient house, a cafe and a cathedral. They were super sweet, knowledgeable and great buddies to our 3yo. We really appreciated learning about life in Vietnam.

While the address listed here is wrong, the tour that we received after I reached out to the company via their online form was fantastic. We had two lovely young people come to our hotel and provide us a 3-hour tour around the Old Quarter. Their English was excellent and they were able to share their passion about Vietnam with our family of 5. My daughters loved the tour and were especially happy with the dessert place the tour guides took us too. This ended up being a free tour as advertised, though the expectation was that we pay for their tickets and food/drinks, which was very reasonable. In return, they get to practice their English and share their enthusiasm about their country. Thank you Iris and Sun!

Had a great experience with Hanoikids tour. Ate a lot of delicious foods and talked about a lot of stuff like cultural differences between Holland and Vietnam. Would absolutely recommend doing a tour with this organization!

A highlight of our trip! We loved our City and Food tours. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and we had so many great conversations! We learned so much about life in Vietnam and Hanoi. Our guides recommended some delicious local and seasonal treats like the lotus seed sticky rice that is only available in the Autumn! The pomelo peel and mango sticky rice Che desserts were also great! And of course famous Hanoi dishes like egg coffee and Turmeric Fish. Our guides recommended we also try fish stomach with the Turmeric Fish, which had a nice crunchy texture. A Hanoi Kids tour is a must-do activity when visiting Hanoi!

Our guides - Yen Nhi and Xati - were excellent! The arrived punctually at our hotel and were not at all phased by the fact that some friends had joined us for a tour of the old-town. They had a clear idea of where to take us and displayed excellent background knowledge of the places and sites. They were also happy to receive requests about amendments to their itinerary and happy to do on-the-spot research to work out the viability of our ideas. They were amazing at making sure the children in our group were engaged and were also very happy to discuss wider topics surrounding Vietnamese history with the older members. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the next generation of the fabulous Vietnamese people and help them to to practice their language skills - which were excellent! Thank you so much for your time, expertise, and enthusiasm Hanoikids, keep up the good work!

Best evening in Hanoi ! The 2 Hanoi kids gave us a fabulous time during our food tour. My 14 years old daughter had a great time, cheating away with her new friend. I really enjoyed my time, it s a great club of very bright volunteers students. I know my daughter will keep in touch. Go and email Hanoikids.

Had a lovely few hours with Amour and Le. They both spoke really good English. We visited Ethnology Museum and chatted over Egg Coffee. Enjoyed just chatting to these lovely young men, asking lots of questions about life in Hanoi/Vietnam. When the proverbial hit the fan and my friend got hit by a car Le was really helpful in the advise he offered when I contacted him. Thanks Le. The tours are free and the guys can not accept money but we were happy to make a donation to this fab organisation

We were looking for a walking tour to learn about the history of Hanoi and chose the Old Quarter tour as well as the food tour back to back. We had heard about Hanoikids from a friend who explained that these are university students taking tourists on specific outings while practicing their English. The tour itself is free, but you will be paying for entrance fees on the walking tour, plus all food and drinks for yourself and the guides if you select the food tour. (Which was quite reasonable.) We cannot say enough how much we enjoyed the twins "Ice and Cream" on our tour. They were knowledgeable, funny, and their English was excellent. Would highly recommend this tour as an " off the beaten path" type of tour.

Free walking tours customized to you, led by Vietnamese university students eager to converse and practice their English. It's a win-win! We went with Evan and Sammie who were terrific. 😀👍🏼 They can't accept tips, but if you insist on giving money it will go to help the Hanoikids organization keep operating.

We booked a tour with HanoiKids in the Old Quarter on our first day in Vietnam and it was the best way to start our journey ! Valeria and Sunny came to pick us up at the hotel, we immediately got along and visited The Ancient House. We asked a lot of questions and we could feel they were happy and proud to answer, we felt very welcome. We then had a private coffee class, trying different style of Vietnamese coffee, it was the best experience ! Thank you so much girls for the best tour, we hope you also enjoyed your morning with us, we wish you all the best :) Thank you again for the great organization !

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing two incredible tours with Hanoikids, and we can't recommend them highly enough! The first was a food tour with guides Cutiepie and Ice. Their choices of food and locations were perfect – a true culinary adventure that exceeded our expectations. The second tour, a visit to the pottery village in Bat Trang with guides Forrest and Moon, was also excellent. We had so much fun making pottery and visit the area. Both tours were nothing short of amazing. The guides, with their infectious energy, were not only friendly but also incredibly interesting. They engaged with our kids, making the tours enjoyable for the whole family. We wholeheartedly recommend these tours – 100% satisfaction guaranteed!

Just finished the free food tour with two super nice students from hanoikids. They first asked us what we wanna try and then took us to 4 different places where we had super delicious vietnamese dishes. Both of them spoke english fluently and where so helpful with giving us insights in their lifes and culture. It was such a great experience to the tasty street food of Hanoi shown by these openminded locals. Can highly recommend hanoikids to anybody who wants to get the most out of a stay in Hanoi. Thank you again!!
