Location good, hotel facilities are aged, amenities with good quality, breakfast selection is exceeding expectation, concierge gents are attentive, but cold reception girl made me trip so unforgettable. Hardware is not that important to hospitality, but heartware is essential! Change the attitude or the way how to communicate, it make big difference!

This is what ''Five Stars'' mean! In addition to the location on the Lake, just above the Pagoda, and the rooms (very well fitted with high quality products), the level of service and availability of the hotel staff is way above average! A particular praise to the the Bell Captain who will do everything he can to help you out. Although we checked out early afternoon, having a late night flight, the hotel staff offered that we stay and use the spa and swimming pool all day long! We highly recommend the hotel! The Rooftop Bar has an impregnable view over the lake and the city and is also a must see must drink!

While the Pan Pacific Hanoi boasts a spacious room and a prime location near the tail end of the Old Quarter, the overall experience was lacking. The room felt outdated and was marred by a continuous water noise in the restroom, which was quite off-putting. This may have been due to a design flaw in the standing shower, which did not drain properly. To add insult to injury, there was a frustrating issue with my Amex Hotel Collection credits at checkout that really soured my stay. Expected better from a hotel of this caliber.

Very nice hotel with great staff and comfortable rooms. I stayed on the lake view room and the room is nice with nothing to complain about. Ming Chinese Restaurent is fantastic and tried some dishes and very tasty. Breakfast buffet in the morning is not bad and the location of the hotel is also good. The location of the hotel is also good. The stay here at Pan Pacific was very good and next time I would prefer to stay in the old city to be close to the sights.

Book the lake view rooms. You really cannot get sick of it. The breakfast buffet is some of the best i ever had. The pool is massive and usually quiet (Nov 2022) so we had a lot of space. We walked from the hotel to the end of the lake to rent the swan boats after seeing it out our windows everyday. The summit bar on the roof is spectacular for the views. The service and hospitality is top notch. We added a bed to our room for our LO and there was still a ton of space.

The hotel is a bit out of the way for exploring the old quarter - about a half hour walk. The room was spacious and the lake view was lovely. The bathroom was also spacious, which we appreciated after other hotels on our trip had teeny bathrooms. The breakfast was nice - you can get to-order eggs and they have a bit of variety day to day (but daily staples like cheeses and breads). Would probably try to find a hotel closer to the old quarter if we ever returned, but wouldn’t be disappointed to stay here again either.

In room no 1306 the shower is working (although I have complained)as if as one star hotel,I have to go 4th floor to take a shower each time when needed,if possible the management should send his concern person and take a head shower in room no 1306 and verify and rectify the problem if it's seem to them. I am on a day tour, will be back by evening. Hope I would edit and give my best when I check out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pan Pacific Hanoi, and it was an unforgettable experience. The luxurious accommodations, coupled with exceptional service, made my stay truly memorable. The hotel’s prime location made exploring the city a breeze. I loved the breakfast here. They also offered breads for brunch. Highly recommended!!!

This hotel well located at the town and convenience to walk around, especially for food. However, the room are quite old and old design, but it is spacious. The breakfast served in variety choice and tasty. Staff here are well trained to provide highest hospitality of services.

Good location, easily accessible off the highway. Friendly staff. Decent gym. Room (18th floor) was average size and nice but my phone did not work which was annoying and the desk chair kept sinking which was terrible. Bed very comfortable. Club on 17th floor was quite nice.

Good hotel located near many restaurants. Great gym and indoor pool- one of the best hotel gyms I've ever been to. Breakfast buffet has many options . Ask for a room with a lake view, it's quite beautiful. If you can't get a room with a view, you can enjoy the view from the rooftop bar.

  • 5/5 Nicolas P. 1 year ago on Google
There were a few hiccups when we arrived (1 bed missing for one of our kids when we had specified we had 2 kids). But this was perfectly managed by the team. They moved us to a bigger room and made sure everything went smoothly. Particular thanks to manager Selena who was extremely helpful and professional. The indoor swimming pool, gym and relaxation areas are excellent. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Special very special. We were treated so well here from check in to check out . Escorted to the 17th floor for check in , our Club room was great very roomy and comfortable. A lovely touch were the fruits and treats in our room . Evening drinks and canapes were great the food was fresh and tasty and the staff friendly and helpful it was nice to actually get to learn a bit about them too . We took breakfast down in the buffet so many choices here you could sit for hours and still not try everything . As good as the food and rooms were it would be nothing without the wonderful staff at Pan Pacific . We are heading back in a few weeks cannot wait .

Wonderful hotel. Very well located. Close to central Hanoi. Wide choice at breakfast. The staff are just top-notch, very welcoming and helpful. Always ready to listen! I highly recommend this hotel. And the Pacific Club is really worth it!

The hotel looks good at first but there are several details that I didn't like. The grouting between the bathroom tiles is cracked or missing. The shower is designed to flood the floor. There is only one bedside table. The lights can only be controlled from one side of the bed. There are no power outlets near the bed. The TV picture quality is very poor. Another thing, it is not possible to have an after dinner coffee on the roof top bar, no coffee after 8pm! The breakfast room had a very good buffet, but the room was very full and noisy with a cold draft from the air conditioning.

We stay at the club room with club benefits. All of the staff from the club rooms was very friendly, speak really good english, and gave amazing service and it feels personal too. Although the hotel and room was old, the service from the team made our stay really memorable. Thank you Mr Tien, Mr Tuan, Ms Phuong, Ms Hue and Ms Uyen, I will definitely stay here again for my next visit

The hotel was right nearby the hanoi old quarter, the starting place for many tours. The hotel itself was very comfy as expected of Pan Pacific. The service and amenities were also great

We stayed at this hotel two times. You get nice views from the room but everything is so far away from the hotel, you basically have to catch a taxi each time if you want to go anywhere despite it looking nearby on the map. Staff service was okay, nothing out of the ordinary where we felt special. The staff didn’t take anytime to get to know us to answer any possible questions we might have or provide any handy tips to navigating the city. I wouldn’t say don’t stay here as it’s still a nice hotel, but at the same time I wouldn’t say you must stay here. I believe you can get better value for money and better service at some other hotels closer to the old city.

It's an old hotel, probably one of the pioneers in the city. Room and bath are quite big but would benefit from a little sprucing up and modernizing. Location's kinda off from the preferred areas but offers a great view of West Lake. The sunset view, especially from the open-air decks, is simply incomparable. Great service, too!

  • 5/5 João L. 6 months ago on Google
Great view to Hanoi city from the rooftop bar. Unfortunately I couldn’t try the drinks at the rooftop because they were preparing a private party. The receptionist and one bar employee allowed me to go up and enjoy the view. Both very kind!

Service was awful and Rooms were pathetic, old and outdated! Not the best location to stay. Food at the roof top bar took 2hrs to get and one guest never got their order ! No compensation for the embarrassment caused apart from a sorry! Disgrace for a 5 star hotel! Strange that they would not charge it to the room despite saying yes at the reception ! Have stayed in Singapore amd Melbourne Pan Pacific hotels and never had a bad experience like this!

Pan Pacific Hanoi was a delightful experience. Our stay in the Pacific Club Room exceeded expectations. The room was not only stylish but also provided stunning views of West Lake and the Red River. The exclusive privileges, such as access to the Pacific Club Lounge, made our stay truly special. The breakfast options at Pacifica and the Pacific Club Lounge were diverse and delicious, offering a perfect start to our day. The service was impeccable, meeting our needs from every perspective. The well-equipped gym, heated pool, and sauna added a touch of relaxation to our stay. The Summit Bar, with its breathtaking views of Hanoi and Tran Quoc Pagoda, was a highlight. The cocktails were a delight to the taste buds. Our room was not just comfortable; it became a productive space with a fantastic view of Hanoi. Special mention to the bathtub and bathroom amenities that added an extra layer of luxury. Pan Pacific Hanoi provides a top-notch experience, and we highly recommend it

Shocking behaviour. Took away my whiskey glasses from room bar and refused to give back. Said they are short of glasses so they used it at the banquet. Never heard. Breakfast refused to take my signature. Followed us to the room to collect cash . Very humiliated. Sick hotel Sick mentality.

Overall service as a five-star hotel was below par level. It was disappointing, especially after a night from another 5 star resort hotel which costed us half from at this hotel. You need more staff at the lobby and reception. Great view, tho.

What a wonderful stay! Away from the hustle and bustle, providing a peaceful escape. Views are amazing, breakfast in club superb, restaurant breakfast also amazing. Would highly recommend. We were fortunate enough to have a lovely chat with the GM during our stay which made for an even warmer greeting and stay. Thanks again!

Whenever I travel to Hanoi, Pan Pacific Hanoi is the hotel where I stay. Other hotels may be less expensive, but they're also cheaper ("cheap" meaning lacking ammenities, quality rooms and service). Here, I get treated like a valued person, not a customer. Each time I've stayed, I seem to get the same room or one close to it because I always get the same spectacular view.

This only reviews the rooftop bar of the Pan Pacific hotel. Don’t expect that drinks, coffee, juices and cold plates are pricy. But they are good, the atmosphere exclusive and romantic and the view is gorgeous. (2019, 2020, last visited May 2021)

  • 4/5 Varapote C. 3 years ago on Google
The summit bar was nice. Except they close early at midnight and then came for a last order, which was OK but they switched off the air conditioning! And turn on bright lights. It became Hot and no air to breathe after we got our last drinks. The atmosphere also turns from a roof top cozy bar to a bright place where you would rather go home 🏡

Excellent customer service. Ms Hue and Mr Tu especially went above and beyond to show me kindness. I stayed for two nights and it felt like staying with friends. Nice facilities (lovely bathtub in the deluxe room) and excellent location (mid-way between the tourist area Old Quarter and the expat area Tay Ho). I will recommend to others, and will choose to stay here myself again.

Lovely hotel with the style of ancient Hanoi. The staff is very friendly and nice, the room is very beautiful and huge. The bed and pillows are very comfy. The desk with the nice view. The place is nearby to the Old Quarter so very convenient for you to explore the city center.

nice hotel. good location. The hotel has most rooms with views towards the West lake. The entrance lobby is spacious with an atrium with a mezzanine floor large enough to hold varied events.

Loved my stay at Pan Pacific! View from the rooftop and room were incredible. This place has everything from pool to jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and even a spa. Very good breakfast too with different type of cuisine and so many choice. Hotel with great service and very attentive to details. Asked once for more water and since they brought many bottles of water many times a day. Will definitely come back!

I absolutely loved my time at the Pan Pacific Hanoi. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we asked. As well as, the morning buffet and in house restaurant had the best food that I had during my stay in Hanoi! I will definitely be coming back on my next stay in Hanoi

Located near the Westlake, the hotel is accessible and has scenic views. Service has been warm and excellent. Downside is the room is slightly dated but that is not critical and still very comfortable. Recommended place for tourist or business stay

Unfortunately did not get to stay at the hotel because I had last minute visa problems but the hotel was incredibly understanding and kind about our situation. They were more than helpful and offered excellent customer service. Even though we did not get to experience their hospitality first hand, the experience with them was nothing but positive and will definitely book with them on our later trip to Hanoi

Really enjoyed my stay here at Pan Pacific Hanoi! All the staff at the hotel are friendly and professional. Room is clean and comfortable. I also got a room that had a good view of the lake. The location of the hotel is also fairly convenient to travel around and there are various food options nearby too. I also ordered room service which were pretty good and served on time.

  • 2/5 Winston Arethe M. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly services since you drop off from the taxi. Staff also help me to carry my luggage to the room. One minor dislike, where my sink is clogged. So I have to inform the hotel and they immediately fix it. Air-con wind blow directly to your bed. For me, I don’t like it. And I can’t change the wind direction. Turn AC off, it’s hot. Turn AC on, direct wind on my body. I can’t sleep well here. Also ordered their burger for in room dining. A bit disappointed between the price and the food taste.

Wow just wow what an experience. We had 2 nights at Pan Pacifc Hanoi at the end of our 3 months travelling through Vietnam . We stayed on the 17th floor with Club lounge access . Everything was just amazing even the glass elevator ( and I am not a fan of elevators ) The staff were exceptional especially in the Club lounge . Food was delicious we had breakfast in the restaurant as well as Club lounge . The chinese restaurant food was also of high standards . I can say that we will be back .

First time. Great services form airport pickup to check in. Although checking in takes a little longer than other hotels i am used to, but it isn't all that bad. Took a little more than 45 mins during a 6pm drive from airport to hotel. Expect jams nearing the hotel cause its vietnam. Supposedly told to upgrade to pacific club room as it allows smoking, but apparently it is still a non smoking room. Not a big bummer as balcony allows smoking too. Disliked the doors to the room and living room. It looks very confined and dated. View was great overlooking the streets and the river. Ceilings are stained due to ageing and wear and tear. Realised no cotton buds. Why? Shower room is too small even for asian like me. Keep knocking and banging the walls and glass. No rain shower - lose points there. Water pressure was solid though. Loved the shampoos and soap given smells superb and looked premium. In general happy with the room although i believed there could be better options like sheraton nearby. Price i paid waa reasonable for the room size and privileged services with the personal club lounge and private dining access.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is very expensive for Vietnam and definitely not worth it. Does not feel like a “5 star” hotel at all. Room is dated and feels shabby. Decor and room furnishings are worn. Room was clean and bed was reasonably comfortable. Decent location and nice lake views from certain rooms/rooftop. However, there were no toiletries in the bathroom and I had to request them from the front desk. There is no thermostat - the temperature controls on the “alarm clock” just have up or down with no temperature given. I was woken by said alarm clock going off at 0430 in the morning and I had not set it to go off. No soft or low lights available, you have to blast your eyes at full brightness even just getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Breakfast buffet was not very good, not much selection and the food was not tasty. Staff was generally helpful, however, overall I was very disappointed with the hotel quality, especially for the price. I would not stay here again. Edit: the staff were all very nice and the shower/water pressure was great

We stayed here in September 2022 and were absolutely delighted. Fantastic service. Has a great spa. Staff really courteous. Location great too. Ticks all the boxes.

It was my 1st trip to Hanoi with my family. The rooms were clean & spacious. The staffs were all really helpful as expected from a 5 star hotel. Eventhough we got the city view room, the noise from the streets were kept to a minimum due to good sound proofing. WiFi was easy to connect and I stayed connected from my room all the way to the gym & the breakfast area. It's away from the old quarters but located quite near to the lakes. It was nice taking an evening stroll by the lakes in the December chilly weather. All in all my stay was almost perfect, my only dissatisfactions was the bathroom and the toilets doesn't have bidet & the pillows were a tad too soft too my liking.

Came back here after 4 years, things had been changed, not in a good way but disappointed. Looked like the hotel didn’t care about how it looks in the customers’ eyes. The first thing came to us when we opened the menu was a torn menu, then later our drinks came without coasters which caused the table wet after 15 minutes, the water followed and dropped on us whenever we took the drinks. Compare to the past, the drinks nowadays were not as much as worthy with the price. When we left the hotel and asked for a taxi, a G7 taxi guy came with a silent and unfriendly face. This place used to be our first date but now it becomes the last visit to us☹️

Have stayed on two occasions. Overall it's a good hotel, not the best 5* in Hanoi but definitely not the worst. The staff are friendly. The rooms are comfortable; the executive room is more modern than the standard room. The swimming pool is good though a little smaller than some elsewhere. Breakfast is good, though again a little more limited than some others. The food at the Ming restaurant wasn't so good though. The location is convenient and it has great views from the rooms and the Summit Bar, which is one of the best rooftops in Hanoi.
