This is our 3rd stay at this hotel and we love it, we would not stay any where else in Hanoi. The location in the old quarter is amazing easy walkable to many attractions, it’s near the lake. It’s spotless, the rooms are spacious with simple and beautiful decor, the bed and linens are pure luxury, the breakfast is delicious, plentiful and a great choice. The staff are amazing very polite and respectful especially Jerry he is a credit to this hotel. Thank you for another great stay.

Amazing hotel, rooms are extremely spacious, staff is amazing and attentive to your every need, and in a perfect location with multiple great restaurants right across the street. Recommend purchasing a SIM card from the hotel for roughly $9 USD you can get 4G service for a month. Balcony room also had an amazing view and the balcony was bigger than most other hotel rooms. Breakfast was also amazing with multiple options.

Our stay here was so great. They were very nice. The room was clean and very comfortable and quiet. We are traveling with a 6 month old baby and the staff was so nice with him and even watched him while we ate breakfast so we could enjoy our meal. I spent a lot of time picking our hotel for Hanoi and the fact that people said the rooms were quiet really sold me on this place with the baby. We didn’t want noise keeping him up and we wanted thick walls on the room so if he fussed at night he wouldn’t keep other people awake. The food was great - best hotel breakfast I have ever had. It was a perfect location and if we are ever back in Hanoi we will be sure to book at this hotel. Thank you so much!

Great staff, they very friendly and welcoming and speak excellent English. They were happy to help with any questions or concerns I had. Location is within walking distance of basically everything, which is great, but also the street is a little bit more quiet than the central shopping streets so its easier for a cab to pick you up if you don't want to walk. I had them arrange an airport shuttle for me both ways and they were on time and completely hassle-free. Overall a great hotel which I will definitely recommend to my friends!

Great location and nice service ! Location is about three minutes walking distance to the lake . The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was tasty .

Absolutely fantastic hotel, made special by the caring and generous staff here. Fabulous location, delicious breakfast and quiet/ clean rooms. We cancelled our other hotel to come back to Emerald Waters mostly because of the impeccable and kind staff who go above and beyond. In particular would like to mention Kim who was incredible today during our check in. I had received some very upsetting news from back home and was very upset and stressed. Kim was calm, professional and kind, got our room sorted in 5 mins after we had to leave another hotel on short notice. Thank you for being such beautiful people here at Emerald.

Love it! Lynn was very helpful son e we planned our trip. Great sense of service and hospitality from every staff member. Our room was big and nice. Got upgraded to suite with balcony which perfect for me (I do cigar!!). Location is also good. Just few steps from the lake, old quarter and French quarter. Been here 2 days & cannot fault it! Arrived from UK feeling unwell & needing medical attention, the reception staff had me checked in, hospital contacted & taxi ordered to take me there in 15 minutes. When I returned 2 hours later, the staff couldn't have been more concerned or attentive. The rooms are spacious & spotlessly clean; breakfast was varied & delicious & the food in their restaurant, The Salmon Run, is outstanding. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for efficient, stylish, perfectly situated & well-priced accommodation & I will certainly stay here again!

What a beautiful hidden gem! Stayed here with my family end of July and we loved it. The extremely sweet and honest service made us love Hanoi more. I did not feel ok, had a cough, so the receptionist gave me some coughing candy! Just that gesture. Moreover they helped us with a ticket issue! Amongst the most memorable and homely hotel experience. The hotel is conveniently and centrally located in the midst of the busy market area and is at walking distance from the famous and iconic Train Street. The rooms are cosy, though not very luxurious but very clean and carefully maintained. The cuisine and spread at the breakfast had good variety and showed the expertise of the chefs. However, the icing on the cake was the quality of service, helpful attitude and going beyond the norms to keep the guests happy and comfortable. At buffet breakfast, the staff would ensure everything that one was looking for served at individual table. The staff remembered the personal preferences of the guests and would willingly provide to the guests. The entire hotel staff is groomed to be polite and courteous. We would not miss a chance to visit and stay in the hotel again.

It’s a boutique hotel right in the old quarter of the city. The decor is beautiful. The room has everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast is included with enough food to satisfy the hungry. The staff is super friendly and tentative.

We had only one night to enjoy this beautiful space, we loved every minute. From the beginning they treat you like you’re the most important and get to know who you are and what you’re trying to accomplish while staying in Hanoi. Half of our group went back 4 days later just to hold their luggage because the hotel agreed to allow that without hesitation. One of them left a Cello Bow and the hotel insisted to help even tho it was left on a transfer from the bay back to the city but they didn’t give up and looked for this making sure to keep in contact with us and the transfer company. Completely awesome.

The hotel is in old quarter, a super convenient place. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The room was spacious and had a nice design. The staff was super friendly. Not just friendly, but SUPER friendly. Never had such nice staff before. They set the bar quite high. They try to help you in every way they can (book tours, book grab taxis, hire private taxis, book bus tickets, book train tickets, provide laundry service etc etc). Also every staff member is kind of up to date with your schedule. I stayed 3 separate times at the hotel because I sometimes had a 1 or 2 day tour in between. And every staff member knew exactly where I was going or where I went when I left/came back. And one thing what super cute was that they said "welcome home" when I got back. They come off as super genuine. The breakfast was very nice as well. Western and Eastern style breakfasts are available (no extra charge). I would definitely book with them again and recommend them to friends/family.

We stayed here for a night after a string recommendation from friends. My only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer because the room type we wanted was booked up. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable king-size bed and central air conditioning and heating. Shower stall was big with good hot water pressure. Most importantly, the room was quiet at night as it faced the back even though the hotel was on the fringe of the Old Quarter. The staffs were the best as they proactively looked for ways to help. Very friendly and efficient: from check-in to check-out, showing of the room, recommendations of restaurants, breakfast services and booking of massages, all were done professionally and put us at ease. What a wonderful stay and we hope to return for more.

This hotel is all you could ever want from a stay in Hanoi! The location is perfect, right in the heart of old quarter next to the lake with the water puppet show and to the weekend night market. The breakfast is great with lots of options. The staff are wonderful and could not do more to make sure you have the best stay in Hanoi.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Front desk service is exceptional. Breakfast is quite nice with many options. Located in an ideal area to experience nearby attractions and is a quite taxi away from the further things.

I spend few days in December. The only thing that is constant is the warmth and the support of the staff. They know the diversity they are catering to and makes every effort to make a homely feel. The fact that each of them ( almost 5 of them) just in the course of conversation came out to the taxi to see us off ---was the most memorable moment from the Hanoi Trip. My family spent a night at Emerald. We are 100% satisfied with the stay there. Hotel staffs are super friendly, professional and helpful. Some names to mention such as Zoey, Kim, Bonnie, Danny... The room is spacious and clean. The food is nice and we have enough option for Muslim. Highly recommend to other tourist. I will definitely book this hotel again.

The entire team was so generous and lovely. They allowed us an early check in and added breakfast because our flight arrived so early. The rooms had all amenities and were constantly cleaned and replenished. The team went out of their way to ensure that we had a good day on our day trips arranged by them, and helped us with the smallest things. The location is again very central, but the rooms are quiet and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

The people in the hotel is really friendly. They helped us with everything they could. The location is also great since you only need to walk 2-3 min and you will be at the lake where you have million of stores, restaurants, etc. The hotel room was big but the bathroom is the vietnamese style where the whole bathroom is a shower so everything gets a little wet. Anyway that is not a problem if you like it or you know how to arrange it. To enter you need to go through a small corridor so at the beginning we were a little shocked but even the corridor has paintings so it looks beautiful. So the conclusion is that it is a great hotel and i will go again next time for sure!!!

This is a great hotel to stay in. The staff are super friendly and attentive, and all spoke good English. The room was spacious and clean, and the daily breakfast is amazing with lots of choices catering to both Western and local diets. The spa facilities are relaxing. Only 2-3 mins walk to Hoa Kiem Lake. Highly recommended.

Really nice hotel located in the old quarter. We also stayed at other hotels on the same street and found this one to be the best. The staff were super friendly and spoke good English, gave us a good map to the surroundings and made us feel at home. The room and bathroom were very clean and new compared to others, small but enough for two people (worth the price). Thanks Jerry see you next time!

5 things that were awesome about this hotel: 1. Great staff and service, any question or request was answered efficiently and professionally. Thanks Ms Tong and Tony and the boy with glasses. 2. Superb massage - did the hot stone and was impressed with the skills, all three of us got great service, as opposed to some spa shops in the quarter that are hit or miss. 3. Fantastic breakfast buffet, food is varied and healthy and different every day, fresh fruit and juice, and you can order a hot bowl of beef or chicken pho or omelet in addition. 4. Spacious family room has a combo of one queen and one single bed, perfect for our party of three, a rare find. 5. Great location next to the lake and easy pick up for day tours.

Grace and Jerry were so helpful and kind to me and my family during our stay. Their service was excellent. Buffer Breakfast was really nice and the rooms were clean and beautiful. I stayed here for 1 night during my stay in Hanoi. The hotel is at very good location and at a walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby. So, it was very convenient to walk around and explore on our own. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff are very helpful and recommended places and restaurants to visit. Lucas and Zoey at the front desk guided us really well. All the staff speak fluent English. So, we didn't face any issues in communicating. Our flight was at an odd time and we couldn't get early check-in. Fortunately, they are a couple of couches where we crashed until we got the room. The breakfast spread had a lot of variety. There were also enough vegetarian options. We had to leave early for Halong bay. So, they helped it packing it. They also helped us coordinate with the cruise company. Highly recommended hotel in Hoan Kiem area.

A clean, quiet and very comfortable hotel in a perfect location. Great breakfast and spa massages! You really don’t need more but the staff in this hotel are exceptional. They advise on the area activities, booked us boats, trains and flights. I’ve never experienced service like it. So happy we stayed a second time on the return journey. A Wonderful experience. The service was incredible. My passport got stolen in the night market and hotel sent the translator immediately to the police office to help me report my situation. They really care about their customers. The location is great! The room was ok and clean (a little moist) but overall it's a great experience.

Amazing service especially the front desk ladies, waitresses, and maids. These fine young ladies truly treat their guests as if we are royalty. They are ALWAYS extremely cordial, friendly, & polite. Constantly greeting you with a smile, and just so jovial to go the extra mile to appease you. The outer street rooms are a bit more expensive as compared to the inner ones. Although, if you are willing to pay the extra $ for these rooms with 2 beds versus 1 and a balcony, you will then find them to be much more quieter. Reminder feel free to tip your maids as well as the hotels complete staff by dropping tips in their pool box @ the front desk. You may wish to tip individual staff members accordingly as well. Keep in mind most of staff only have 3 days off per month so tip, tip, and tip!

Extremely good location, between the Old Hanoi, the French Quarter, and the lake area. Very close to the night market, but still accessible for vehicles at all times. Good restaurants around. Extremely competent, patient, and friendly staff, from bellboys to front desk people. Perfectly clean rooms. Very tasty breakfast, with lots of options, including a cheese selection and fresh fruit. Very good quality of sllep, and plenty of small details. Everything was perfect. Hands down, our best hotel in Vietnam. There is a sister hotel across the street, called Emerald Trendy, which can be confusing, but it is not far and they will happily guide you to it.

We had an awesome time here— the location was perfect for us. We did a few trips out of Hanoi and during these trips we were able to leave our larger luggage with the hotel and carry only our smaller stuff with us. It is also super close to Sapa Express (just around the corner) which made getting to Sapa so easy. The staff is also super nice and good humored.

Hotel was located in a very good location, near the lake, and has a pharmacy nearby, where we bought mosquito repellant from. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were impeccably nice, providing information on what food to eat nearby, and helping us book a tour. We checked out the next day and they helped us keep our luggages because we were out on a day tour. 10/10 would recommend my friends and family this hotel.

A really nice hotel in the middle of the old city. Very clean and well furnished. The staff are very friendly. Worth more than what you pay for. Definitely coming back here when I get back to Hanoi.

Before any comments, I would like to thank the staff of this hotel!!! Zoey and Kim helped us book tours, airport transfers and so much more since our first email contacts. David helped my son solve an internet problem that went beyond his role as a hotel professional. The breakfast staff is always prompt and pleasant. The super cozy room, with small pampering where we clearly notice the concern for the guest. The only problem is the soundproofing of the doors - in the morning it was possible to hear the music from the restaurant and the conversation in the hallway. The location is in the middle of the old quarter. This makes it easy to get to know the city on foot. Highly recommendable hotel. Congratulations to the team!!!

Emerald Waters is THE place to stay when visiting Hanoi! The customer service here is exceptional. Breakfast is amazing, catering for all nationalities. We stayed 4 nights. They arranged a day tour and our taxi to the airport without any hassle and a set price. There really isn't anything not to like. Would thoroughly recommend, especially if you are heading up from the south and you want to spoil yourselves before heading home or just exploring Hanoi.

Excellent hotel staff and very attentive, especially Ms Zoey. She sent me an email in regards of our up coming trip to Hanoi and offered a reasonable rate for airport pick up. Wide spread of buffet breakfast available. We had a deluxe room with 1 king bed and 1 single bed for 3 of us. Beautiful weather in February, lots of local shops and cafe surrounding the area. Very near to the Hoan Kiem lake and close to the cathedral as well as opera house area within walking distance.

Great hotel with a super convenient location and warm helpful staff. Bonie was especially helpful and sweet in helping us with our needs. Check in was breezy even though the reception was quite just when we arrived. Breakfast was tasty and had great variety. The door staff were always friendly and willing to assist. Room was clean and very comfy! We had some issues with the shower as it took a long time to warm up but otherwise it was fine.

The massage was okay. However not much privacy. The masseuse just told me to take off my clothes, without leaving the massage room, and the curtains were left wide open. I had to strip naked Infront of the masseuse exposing my genital while other hotel workers were passing by the massage room. And the masseuse still dare to ask me for tips after the massage was complete.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hanoi Emerald waters in Dec 2022. The staff were friendly, and went above and beyond in giving us advice, along with setting up tours and transportation. Want to give a specific shout out to Zoey, who worked hard to ensure we had a great experience. We had a couple issues with unwanted smoking near our room, along with a tour miscommunication, but the hotel did a great job of fixing both issues quickly and professionally. Would recommend this hotel to english speaking tourists!

Lovely hotel with very friendly and fantastic hotel staffs. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfy. The location is very strategic with walkable distance to night market while being accessible from main road so the street is free from traffic jam.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Location was great, other side of the lake from the cathedral. This place has two buildings (directly across the road from each other). We had to walk across to other building for breakfast.. which is worth the 45second walk. Pho and vietnamese iced coffee made to order during the buffet. Staff were friendly, always willing to help with organising tours or even walking you across the street!

Booked through Agoda. Very pleasant stay! The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Even offered to help me with calling the tour operator when I was waiting for my tour to pick me up. The Junior Double room is decent and spacious. Window views were not great but I didn't mind. Room amenities were acceptable, including a decent minibar (chargeable) and free daily water bottles. There is a safe, wardrobe with hangers, a TV with some cable channels, a couch and a work desk. There were reasonable toiletries in the bathroom too, including toothbrush/toothpaste, body soap and shampoo, a shaver and a hair dryer. Soundproofing could be better as I could hear other people in the corridor. Wifi is decent, at times, the LTE data through my phone was faster. The staff did not tell me the wifi password at first, so I had to ask them, but not an issue. Breakfast is good, a mix of local and international cuisines. Sufficient enough for me. I went to the restaurant one evening at 9 pm but it was closed so I didn't get to try out dining at the restaurant. The hotel also helped me arrange for an airport pick-up when I arrived in Hanoi, and I had no trouble finding the driver. The location is convenient and walkable to other places in the Old Quarter area. Short walk to the Hoan Kiem lake area.

I stayed in the Hotel for 5 nights, and it was a very nice experience. The Hotel is located near attraction and the old City Center, which makes it possible to just walk and explore the City. The Staff was extraordinary friendly and professional, and helped everywhere possible. I recomend the Hotel for both business trips as well as Holidays!

We stayed here for 3 nights, Best stay ever. hotel staff especially Tracy and Jerry were very kind and helpful. Tracy is such a bright and easygoing person, made our stay just that much better. Very friendly to tourists, would definitely recommend.

The hospitality was second to none, the staff were very nice and helpful in all aspects. They were able to upgrade the room to a bigger room with no extra costs. My flight was earlier than their breakfast times and they provided me with a take-away breakfast. Definitely recommend this place and would stay again.

Hanoi Emerald Water Hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel. Staff there provide excellent service from the lady work in the front desk to the nice gentleman that help with the luggage. Their room is clean and comfortable with delicious breakfast buffet. Their bed is one of the most comfortable bed I sleep in hotel. Also the hotel provides luggage storage. I left my neck pillow and scarves in room when I checkout the hotel. Kim from the hotel instantly contact me and arrange my item to be place with my store luggage. I greatly recommend Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel in January 2024. Its location is perfect and close to all main attractions and nightlife activities and the rooms are clean and spacious. Although we travel in a big group, the Hotel made our stay in Hanoi a pleasant and trouble free holiday. From room/breakfast services to arranging our tours to Hạ Long Bay and Ninh Bình to transfer to/from Nội Bài Airport they exceeded our expectations.
